View Full Version : Balls Not Working! Help find a solution

Hey friends
I use Kitserver 6.5.3.Everything works fine for me except Balls.
Whenever I select a ball before a match the game crashes.
I even tried using 256 X 256 balls but it did not work.
Please help.

there could be only one reason for this: your png picture file is not matching the right mdl file (model file of the ball) You need to know which mdl file belongs to right png ball picture. For example, Europass ball always uses newball.mdl

In your balls folder in kirserver folder, you have folder for model files.Maybe you haven't put the .mdl files in that folder. Other problem can be that in the text file "map.txt" you messed something up. Check every line. Sometime you need to separate " and , and sometomes not. Try and let me know. In the game, do you see at least names of balls or there is not balls option. Then you should download another kitserver folder and replace your balls folder with one you downloaded. Some kitserver are partly deleted or missing some hidden files. Let me know after you try.

In my balls folder in the kitserver folder, i have folder for model files and its correctly placed and the textures also match the balls .I also tried with 2 balls only but still it crashes.I have checked every line in the map.txt and it is correct. In the game, i see everything including the balls name and the preview.But after choosing the ball the game crashes.Please! Please! Please! Help me.

This is a ball pack that I know works fully. Just replace the existing ball folder for this one. Hopefully should sort your problem.

I can tell you with a wee bit of confidence that you probably don't have a very new graphic card. Or maybe all you have is an on board graphic card.

If that IS the case, please delete the folder "balls" from your gdb folder and play the game with the default footballs the PES6 offers. Cheerio.
