Is it just me or is 8 ball champion not working?
Not saving a score? It has loaded fine for me.
I may just be an idiot and can't figure it out, it loads up fine but it just seems to freeze up when I try to hit a ball.

You have to click on the cue, then keep the mouse held and move it back/around and it'll show where your proposed shot will go. I'm playing it now to test it. Thankfully that now means I can quit as its a fairly long game.
Yah I i keep it held, pull it back to build up power and when I leave go the cue goes forward as if to hit the cue ball, but just stops before hitting it and freezes.
I sort of want to laugh but I won't. PM me about reimbursement.
I'm not sure if it's a bug, or just because there's a lot of people trying to get into the Arcade but Snake is quite jumpy. Especially when eating the apples and turning, which makes it a lot more difficult to judge.
PS: I will beat Baddar's high score though, I promise you all.

I seem to have filled up about 70 places in the Snake leaderboard with exactly the same score (1,537). I think it has just bumped up the score of everyone of my attempts to reach that of my high score, so now I fill about 6 pages with the same score.
May want to check it out, or delete the whole leaderboard. ;)

All scoreboards cleared but all-time scores kept due to the problem the change in high score style produced.

Ahh that's it so, how often will you be deleting the scores?
1st of ever month isn't bad.
I envisage scores only being reset if the top score has stood for a calendar month. The plan is to have enough games for that not to cause the arcade to become dormant at any stage while people wait for more realistic targets.
That said, with so many games it could be difficult to identify which scores have stood for a long time so I'll likely pick the same date each month as you've suggested.

Why though? Or will the "All Time" best score still be there?
All the chopper challenge scores were wiped, but I just reclaimed my title with an even better score.
This isn't a game bug but in the Your Rankings section is shows that I've played loads of games but in fact I've only played about 3 or 4, unless it shows everyone who has play one of the games?
The all-time scores will remain for good Kev.

Just as long as the highest score of all time stays put no harm done, I'd hate to lose that one.
Btw 84k in Pacman.
I just know I'm going to wake up tomorrow to a PM about my high score on PacMan being beaten. I'm not going to feel comfortable until I hit 200,000+ as I know as the evening goes on you get into a groove. Don't worry, I'll dust off the Aphex Twin that puts me in a trance when I'm playing PacMan and Asteroids and then we'll see what havoc I produce :ninja:
Nifty has reported that he is suffering from the same freeze problem as Cookie in 8 Ball Champion (currently available for Elite members only) - when taking a shot the game freezes. The game WON'T be removed from the arcade as it works fine for me and others which points toward some form of problem on the computers of Cookie, Nifty and perhaps more of you. If playing the game, be aware you may encounter the issue.

I'm getting the same fault on 8 Ball Champion. Every time I pull the cue back it freezes.
Only just noticed this but on Mahjong, in the bottom right hand corner, theres a ':'
and thats it....I'm pretty sure there should be a timer there, but theres no numbers displayed...
That counts as a bug right?

Yep I got guff last night aswell when I went for a game. There's better pool games out there anyways so it'll do until we get another I guess.
While to pool works OK for me, it has just stiffed me 3 times on a good score. If the AI pots the black, it's player wins, game over, no bonus for AI fuck-up. I had 8400 when the black went in. The AI missed the shot & the black should've been a sitter for me to put up a new high score. 'Tis an arse.

Mini pool all the way fella, mini pool 2 is maybe even better again. Had you any joy signing upto that site I gave you? They have everything and like I said it saves lots of time because they got them all sorted and ready to play in the proper categories.
I spent hours on end going through those game packs you get knocking about the web, most of them are shite but you'll always find a few gems.

Yes I did, excellent site - there's almost too many games on there. Hoping to spend some time browsing tomorrow. That's where X-Training and a couple of others which may not yet be active have come from.
There will be five to ten new games introduced over the weekend if all goes to plan.
Anyone come across lag with Lane Bowling ? It sometimes simply lags when the ball hits the pins, at first I didn't think it affected the outcome of the shot but after my last game, I beg to differ. I threw the ball directly down the centre and somehow managed to only hit 2 pins, that's not even possible.
Yah I've experienced a bit of lag on it, I though it was just due to me loading up a page on another tab but maybe not. Can't really say it affected my game though.
Sometimes that crazy ass game that is X-training doesnt put my score onto the board :\

There's a lovely little arcade hack that scrolls the latest highscores and Kings name across the top of the arcade homepage, it doesn't effect the main forum at all, worth a look.

I just scored 710 on skeeball and then as the game goes to laod the highscore board it loaded an eroor message saying
"the score was not saved, it has not been submitted to the scoreboard" or something to that extent.
I am well and truly eff'd.

Nope but I'll find you one if I get the chance tomorrow, aside from that the site is excellent for the latest skins/hacks. The only thing I'm worried about here again is the usernamer name and password, you need to own a VB board to get in, I had one of the lads before but I lost the auto login option when I whiped the main PC, might get luck with the laptop.

I have some bad news, Galaxian is fucked, after you clear the 4 boards your score is 184, then it resets and brings you back to round 1 again and your score also goes back to zero.
Load of shit.

I actually noticed another bug with it last night so was considering taking it off - namely sometimes when the aliens reached the bottom, you wouldn't die and they'd no longer be on screen but you'd be stuck on that level forever.
Consider it removed and a replacement a little later as I'm home today.

I don't know is my honest answer. There's nowhere I can view such a setting, the procedure is hard-coded and though I can look into the coding, there's no guarantee I can pull that information up quickly.

I've experienced that too. Stopped me from Bowling a 300 game. :ninja:

Sweey I had a good look there last night and couldn't find it for some reason but it has to be there somewhere, there's also a nice little one I seen that adds the titles to a new bit added to your profile page.
I'd give you my password and username but i only got it off a mate who got it off a mate and at this stage all I'm doing is logging straight in and the password is blank.
Considering you have a legit VB board in your hands you should be able to become a member, it has everything including a one click thread ban for members. :ninja:
Haha - its not my board though so I have to go to "other" sources to acquire hacks. Don't worry about providing me with a login for it, I'll find a way to get anything urgent sorted and any other frills will just be a bonus.

The all-time high scores on the main page are correct. The game's highest score shown when viewing the current high score table is wrong on some games (they're showing the highest score achieved since February 1) but ignore that, the arcade is being a plank.
EDIT: Sorted now.

That's because I close the arcade at the end of the month and only re-open it when I'm finished.

Jonno, feel free to say what you want but I don't believe for a second that you suddenly went from scoring ~300,000 in Cubefield to over 1,000,000 when neither myself nor another user could quite get past a particular section at around 550,000 where it is virtually impossible to pass through without excellent timing. Even in doing that, you'd have to be pretty fucking special to get anywhere near 800,000 given the speed and the space available at a particular junction.
Cubefield has an exploit which my score of over 3,000,000 - and it could've gone on forever - proves. There's also various other proof to tell you exactly what the exploit is. I personally believe you cheated and I'm removing the game from the arcade. For now, the play cost is 335,000 credits so everyone can see there's an obvious exploit I've found by simply looking at my score.

8 ball pool is really starting to piss me off now and the fact that I can beat the current highscore isn't helping either. Problem is of course it fails to break after you start, I think this has been posted a few times now. I used to be able to get it working every other time before and didn't mind it so much but I haven't been able to get it working now for ages.
Is there anything you can do Sweey?, cos it's a decent enough pool game and I need it to complete my set. :>
I'll probably get rid of it soon. I haven't had much time to look for new games recently hence the lack of introducing all the ones I tested two months ago.

Just had a bash at Roberto Baggio's Magical Kicks. Not a bad wee game. But my score didn't save. I thought I done okay, too, with 40 goals, 17 posts, and 10 cups. Although I was playing it for ages whilst talking on messenger. :D Then, again, there are no high scores there, and one of you lot probably scored like 400!
It never saves. A known problem but the game is too good to leave out.
