it wil be released in austrailia almost the same time it is released in europe. and by the looks of things that is going to be towards the end of the year since we7 aint even out till august. and we all know how long it takes konami to translate the game!

Welcome.
I guess there's no use trying to answer the question at this point because no-one knows for sure and everyone thinks they may know.
Guesses are not a bad thing as one of them could be right but we'll have loads of different ones soon which will just make the whole thing irrelevent.
Maybe we should just wait a while.

As far as I know that is the release date. The Japanese version and European version are been released on the same day. As far as I know this is where I read it. KCET (http://www.kcet.com)

That KCET site doesn't seem to have anything to do with the games.
WE7 is definitely out on August 7th 2003.
It is unlikely that PES3 will be out on the same day but no-one will mind or complain if it is!

i think that pro evolution 3 will be out the beginning of november as winning eleven 7 will be out august 7th, and by the law japan has to have the game in its own country for 3 months before it can be imported into other countries, dont ask me why?how? or what? but i read this on a site and i did post a link for it in another post, but i cant remember the link now, sorry.

27th September!
(For those of you who wanna know where i saw this... it's all in my mind, I reckon I have jus as much chance gettin the date right by guessin it as the other websites do!)
Perhaps we should do our own little bookies to see who can get closest to the actual date? I'll be the first to open the guessing 27th September. Anyone else?

Yeah, Gameplay lets you pre-order PES3 too. Personally, I won't do that until I know when it is definitely being released. Also I have noticed that PS2 mags never give a release date in their release schedules.

any idea if there is going to be an easy transfer option in edit mode to change club squads to keep up with transfers. i beleive this option is available in a j-league version of winning eleven?

Is PES3 gonna be much better though? I can't really fault PES2 apart from the obvious - player & club names, commentary etc.
The gameplay's spot-on, and it might as well be glued into my PS2.
So if they're not improving the commentary, and not putting real names in, is there any point in shelling out another 30 quid for an update?? I'll only have to update the transfers and names all over again.
(I don't know what I'm talking about really, I'll still be kicking down the door of GAME on the morning of release!!)

The Play site ad has been mentioned before.
They were offering it before a release date for WE7 was out.
I can guarantee to you that they will not be able to sell PES3 in September and they will be changing their ad soon.
If you want to see what will be in PES3, just go to the main site,
www.pesinsight.com and scroll down. This is the WE7 list but is expected to be in PES3 too.
More teams, more animations and more, much MORE!!
WE6:FE is a much better game than PES2 and you can tell this by just looking at it for two minutes.
rebusrahman will confirm this fact.
After you play WE6:FE you kinda feel let down by PES2 because there is so much more in it and it came out only 6 weeks after PES2.
So hopefully PES3 will be even more packed with new stuff and will be great all round and the sun will shine brighter!
PES3 ain't coming out in September though...
I wouldn't even contemplate pre-ordering PES3 until Konami confirms a release date. Play, Amazon, Special Reserve etc all want your money as soon as possible. They have no more of an idea about the release date than we do.
PES1 and 2 both came out in November so that is when PES3 is likely to be released. You have to take into account translation time, and some japanese export law which was mentioned earlier in this thread by a fellow east anglian. Whatever the release date is i will be sleeping outside the door of my HMV the night before in an effort to be first in to buy the game.:p

I don't mind not being first to get it as long as I do get it on the first day.
I pre-ordered my game at gamestation, got a five quid discount and they had it waiting for me when I strolled in at 9am.
Pre-ordering may be better for your mental well-being!
I think there's many more options that HMV but if that's closest to you, that is cool.

i remember oh so well the nightmare that was me trying to buy PES1!
i had all the previous games and therefore automatically wanted the latest but i had no idea how popular it was, when the guy at the checkout at HMV told me "sorry but we're all sold out im afraid" my immediate response was "say what?, no seriously could u please repeat that cos for a second i thought u said u were sold out"
i went from store to store to find a copy and no one had it, i was even tempted to deck some 12 year old kid u had a copy on the train ride back home, purely on the basis that he was only 12 and therefore couldn't fully appreciate the sheer brilliance of the game and besides he would've probably been shit at it anyway!
Eventually i got a copy 3 DAYS LATER!! and was as happy as a phaedophile in a playground.
and the morale of the story is to pre-order PES cos it hurts like to shit to know that everyone else is playing it whilst ur stuck spendin more quality f*ckin time with ur girlfriend!

Maybe ill pre-order then, sounds like PES3 could be big! Although i didnt have a problem getting hold of PES2.
Also, what mail-order companies do you guys recommend for pre-ordering the game? Are they much cheaper than the shops? Ive got a loyalty card for GAME but dunno if that will get me much discount.

They make you pay that and then up the price when they know the RRP. They then say, "ooh sorry, it's an extra £5 is that ok?" You normally get annoyed and then cave in. They fuck you at the drive-in!
I reckon konami should realise that the evo series is a real asset and do the right thing i.e. buy the fifa license - then we'd have FiFa pro evolution.
Not that i'm bothered by licenses and all, i just think that it would be the icing on an very-nearly-perfect cake

They should go further than that. They should have leagues for major nations (England, Spain, Italy and Germany) down to 3rd div! And you should be able to move players from one team to another... lots of other things of course but we'll see how much they do!

Just a basic league and cup editor would let us do most of that for ourselves.
I actually prefer the kits made by the WE6:FE patchers over the ones provided fifa ones.
The colours are nicer and brighter.
Or maybe that's just cos fifa sucks....
PES3 will be on display at Playstation Experience. That's end of August (28th to 31st) at Earls Court in London. I'd imagine that means they expect to finish the bigger part of translation and such by then and maybe even release soon after.

Yeah, all the companies say that. If u take a look at a lot of the previous posts... order companies r going on the release schedule (which is subject to change all the god damn time!). Plus the fact that the illustration on the link isn't even official (they are using a "play.com" mock-up) would point to the fact that they don't have a clue!
I swear it really looks like it'll come out in November... someone already said that they always have...
