I was on about 10-4 when I got the care package, called it in and it was a Pave Low :lol: Quality stuff man.
Thats not to say it did all the work though, probably got me about 8 kills overall.
Edit: my K/D ratio has slowly been going up. I just concentrate on getting more kills than deaths. If I get more kills than deaths im a happy bunny. If i'm having a shit game, I concentrate on getting an even k/d ratio.
LOVEFiLM have FINALLY delivered this for the PS3, so some time over the next few days I should be online to fuck the Yanks up with you lot.

I went 42-6 on Afghan the other day which was my best effort to date. No one else in the entire game got into double figures for kills, which was interesting.
4,200 points on my lonesome is something that I only ever expected to get on Wasteland via spawnkilling with the chopper gunner. Afghan has always been a bit of a hit or miss map for me really.
Afghan is one of those maps that I don't overly love, but always do well on. If you get a Chopper Gunner, and are lucky enough not to get shot down, then you'll easily rape it up!

The best i've done was TDM on Favela 24-6 I had a hovering jet out aswell but the game finished could have easily made it too 30.
Got 27 for 0 on Afghan earlier, until someone accidently shot me (I was in the grassy bit, they shot a teammate and a stray bullet hit me, so they knew I was there).

I think my best so far is 30-14 or something, got the chopper gunner on highrise and had a jet in the air, got about 15 kills in a row. It was a great aul feeling! Nothing close to that score since though, more of an opposite direction really..
Still a cracking record, i'm just pish, i blame it on the custom sensitivity if it was like the PC version i'd have it perfect :(
Just got a 21/5 on Quarry 14 killstreak just with a gun then i decided to use Harrier strike/Hover/Missile only got 5 kills with those 3 :( faaaaaail
getting fed up with this game.. Theres never a decent host which leads to a laggy match or lots of host migration occuring.

I'm starting to get into online now, now I can control myself in matches lol. I now take my time a lot more than I used to, and as a result I'm getting better results online. Enjoying using the AUG HBAR a lot at the moment, this with Grip is very effective at long-range.
I'm also enjoying sniping using the BARRETT .50CAL and getting pretty good resuts now. I'm now finishing games with more kills than deaths, which is obviously a good sign. :)
Mind you, there's no guarantees how well I do. Some games I come across some players who are simply too good for me.

I was just checking the online leaderboard and looking at the no1 spot and was wounderring how the hell does some1 get such a high k/d ration? that was above stupid when i checked it out. also u got people who go on the huge kill streaks over 100 how is this possible? are they cheating or just that good?
Of course they cheat. Some have millions of points and the time says "16s"
The ones that have "slightly" more realistic kill straks, probably get into a public room with all his mates and they arrange for one person to just absolutely destroy the other team.

A guy earlier got 102 kills to 23 deaths or something in demolition. Everyone just started ripping the piss out of him at the end though. You have no life..etc..
i dont knw why u would want to cheat like that knowing that ur only at the top because of this, yea sure i want a good k/d ratio but least when i get it i'll know i did it the proper way. currently at 1.32 and climbing :)

I tried tried to go through that level by not killing any of the civilians. But I couldn't make it and shot them.
I got beaten by a couple of kids last night. Not amused! Losing air drops stuck up on roofs, out of bounds, killed, or stolen are annoying. Very annoying!
Although I got someones crate that was stuck up on the glass roof at the airport on team deathmatch. Took me a second to shoot the crate and gain the chopper.
Had a few games with dotty. He's pretty good. Currently at rank 52. After 2 days and 20 hours. The game is too addictive. One more game.........

Those Model 1887 Shotguns(Akimbo) haven't changed at all after the update. I grabbed them up from a dead enemy and runned til i saw two guy 10 meters in front of me and i got both with only 1 shot.

I hate it when you put in a good stint and yet the rest of your team let you down. I might not have had a +31, but I've be +15 etc. When you do that and you still don't win it's infuriating, especially when not one other fuck on your team can even get to evens.
Earlier my cousin put in a 49/10 and won the game for the team. The second highest person on his team had 6 kills.
He also put in a 50/4 today. The boy plays too much! Although a big thanks you goes out to Andy. Predator Missile -> Harrier Strike -> Chopper Gunner works like a charm!
Got my 6th Nuke a short while ago. Just Pretiged up again though so will have to wait a while before my 7th.

Last night, I had my first good session on Call of Duty for some time, after a week long hiatus in December, I came back to discover that I was, once again, bollocks. I got 22-8, 25-8 and 15-6... not spectacular by some people's standards on here, but after struggling to maintain evens of late I'm happy enough. I just need to work on building longer killstreaks... I have no idea how you guys get to 30-40.
Just did my best, using the Aug which is a pretty decent gun. Unfortunately my Chopper Gunner got shot down straight away, gutting.

There's a lot of luck to it. You can be biding your time as a sniper, racking up the kills, but if you're caught by a predator missile, there's nothing to prevent it. I usually run away from my teammates as much as possible and scramble to a building if there's one within proximity. Sometimes even that's not enough. They get me anyway, somehow.
Best way to get long killstreaks is to have a room full of morons. It's a shame, but the truth. You need morons on your own team to prevent them getting particularly high scores (and stealing your kills if someone drops to last stand!). And you need morons on the other team, naturally.
It's difficult playing with people from this site because no-one fulfils the retarded qualities needed. And an impossible nightmare to get a good run going if the opposition gets some form of air support.
My brother got his first nuke today, he was so jammy. He changed Predator-Harrier-Chopper Gunner to Harrier-Chopper Gunner-Nuke and his Harrier and Chopper Gunner did pretty much all of his work for him. The stupid bastard was so excited he called in the nuke without realising he was one away from beating the 30 killstreak I had set. :doh:
I really don't see the point in the nuke, fair enough once you get a couple for novelty but after that, I'd rather just take a big killstreak.

For activating it I'm not sure, possibly a few hundred.
Other than that you get a kill for each person on the opposite team (so 100 per person for TDM, 50 for Domination etc).
Also, the kills DO NOT count towards your killstreak. My most recent Nuke had me die last (as per the bottom left of the screen, which should have resulted in a 38 killstreak, but only showed up as 32).

I was a little bit rusty a few days ago as I haven't played online for almost 2 weeks. I think that now, I'm back to my best. I was playing of Terminal earlier, and I got my highest kills so far, 25, which was helped massively by the chopper gunner I got from my care package.

I started playing some 3rd Person Tactical last night and thought it was really fun...until I was given a bomb in demolition on Rust. We only had 3 on our side whilst they had 4 and trying to get over the other side to plant the bomb was proving very difficult. My 2 teammates had mics on but were foreign so I had no idea what they were telling me to do. Other than that one game though, I thoroughly enjoyed the mode. It reminded me of the time I spent playing counter-strike even though I think CSS was all first person.

yep i bloody hate the ammo crate as i always get it when ive got loads of ammo, i doesnt help that i have the scavanger perk lol.
dont mind the UAV though, lets u knw where people are hiding. :)
I too have just started using tehe AUG Gun, not a bad weapon, as when u get sum1 in ur sights from a distance they are as good as dead. Still wish the ACR has abit more damage as that is an really good gun.

I played 5 Team Deathmatch earlier, and in all 5, I got the highest kills in my team.
I wasted a harrier support on Derail as no one in my team has UAV. :/

My teams mates all had les than 8 kills each and i pretty much won them the game. In Derail we where loosing 5200-4400 with about 1 minute to go then out came the harrier strikes and the pavlow at the same time. Bliss :) ended up winning by around 400 points with me getting all the kills.
1 think that peeved me off though was in the game when i died twice i got shot both times without killing any1 then went on a 24+ killstreak but on my record it only says 18. any reasons for this? i didnt use a care package only pred, harrier and pavlow.

Care packages do not count towards your kill streak. That and I'm not sure if they've yet fixed the Pavelow glitch, as the kills from that never seemed to count towards a killstreak either.
finally got 1st prestige last night on level 13 now!got my most kills in a game aswell 37-13!very happy with that!
Is there any Headquarters on Rust? The one time we played it on Shipment on CoD 4 was the biggest, craziest game I've ever experienced. I hope to near match that feat.
I've played TDM 99% of the time so not really experimented much thus far.
Firstly, alright lads its good to be back. Secondly, Ive been playing alot mroe of MW2 and Im getting better whereas before I just wanted to play the game and didnt care much about kills/deaths but since the new game has been out Ive been aiming to keep my kills/deaths ratio high and its at around 1.35 which is good for me, great in fact.
Ive started using the AUG HBar with grip, stopping power, steady aim and the akimbo Rangers - Deadly. I just got up to level 48 the other day and I unlocked the ACR assault rifle which is also class.
Ill be on Friday night if any of you fine gentlemen will be active? (Xbox)

Have you actually tried it? It's actually quite difficult to make good a K/D ratio out of doing it. If someone sees you and you're too far away, you're usually done for as that class usually involves an SMG that flies all over the place and you have a silencer on which shortens the gun's range.

It's simply a tactic, a set-up, quite like any other, if not, it takes more balls to run head on into action with a knife than sitting back with a sniper rifle.

Sitting back with a sniper rifle? Unfortunately the range on assault rifles is virtually the same as that of sniper rifles, particularly when playing on stupidly small maps.
It takes no balls to do anything on Call of Duty.
The problem I have with the tactic is that it's ludicrous. Marathon should extend the distance you can sprint, not make it unlimited. Lightweight should be renamed Usain Bolt on Steroids. Then they have the commando perk... equivalent to having elasticated arms.
The game could do with many of the attachments and perks being removed from the game or altered, the killstreaks at the high end need to be removed or made more difficult to obtain.
It's a great tactic to use in cature the flag. Last month I was able to capture 6 flags on Highrise and generally winning the games for my team. I can't remember how many times I would have to capture the flag, yet return our flag, whilst I was holding the oppositions flag. It's frustrating.
I don't really have a problem with it. I've been killed by it many times, but I respect those people for being able to get to me before I can kill them. I have used it once in a team death match, I wasn't too pleased with my K/D ratio at the end of the game, so I know that it is far from easy to use. I'd rather die via that tactic than a random noobtube!

So then, surely running around in the shadows and sneaking up behind people is nothing but smart play? I don't get it, do you just want everyone to play the game the same?
That's the beauty of the game, everyone plays differently causing you to adapt to certain situations. It would be boring without the likes of the running knifers, the smart snipers, even the akimbo shotgun fanatics. It all makes for a great game, everyone has their style.
I personally use the sniper rifle the majority of the time I'd say, 2 of my 5 classes are snipers. However I've been using the FAL a lot recently, mainly because it's such a lovely looking gun and being able to shoot someone once and hear the "ping" noise is majorly satisfying. Especially in Hardcore mode with a silencer attached, it's like heaven.
More often that not, I sit back a bit when I play and try and pick people off, but I equally love running in balls out blasting my secondary shotgun, it's just such mayhem - it's delightful. MW2 is simply such a brilliant game.
I don't mind n00btubes, but only if the player is clearly inexperienced.
To have prestiged once or twice, and be on your 50th rank and to still have to rely on it pisses me off however.
One thing that does fuck me off though is the heartbeat sensor. Pretty much forces you to use the Cold Blooded Perk.

Heartbeat Sensor still picks up people with Cold Blooded, it's the Ninja perk you need.

The reason I had Ninja on was to avoid being picked up by someone's HBS; however unlocking the Pro perk of this ironically worked out well as it gives you silent footsteps, which means you don't have to creep around as much.
Still, other classes I need a different perk to Ninja, which is where it becomes all faggy.

Last night, I was playing on Highrise. My team lost by about 400 points. The thing is, we were playing 3 against 6. Two of my team members quit mid-game.
Also, I've recently unlocked the M16, and I'm loving it so far. I'm usually not a fan of a 3 round burst weapon, but this one is a beast. Firing it once usually kills off your opposition.
Yeah, I'm a big fan of the M16. I haven't used it yet on MW2 though mind since I was using it quite a lot on COD4, want to try new things out and all that jazz.
Was playing on Hardcore last night with a mate, and the first few games I was on fire, doing quite well like 16-7, 22-10 etc, then all of a sudden I played terribly for the next 3-4 games, talking awful scores like 4-10. So frustrating.

You just described my glass completely. Commando Pro is just lethal. No damage taken whilst falling, as well as longer melee attacks. It makes it a lot easier to evade someone chasing you with a gun as you can just dive off of any ledge or building you might be on. This will often leave them stumped, so you can then double-back and get them on the way around.
It's great fun being a cunt online. :D

The abuse I sometimes get for shooting someone with my sniper rifle is always enjoyable. The irony being I got accused of camping by a guy who had killed me in the same game while hiding under a desk in the corner of a room. I went back and he was still there so I shotgunned him in the face but the concept was lost on him.

Got to love MW2.
I've just started using the UMP45, with silencer and red dot (I play Hardcore), and although I only used it for 1 game in Scrapyard, it seems like a potentially great gun.
I have to say I love the selection of guns in MW2, some really excellent choices, not just primary either, the secondary weapons are enjoyable to use also. My only qualm would be I'd love to see maybe one, possibly two more sniper rifles in the game. Other than that, I can't fault the weapon arsenal.

The selection is excellent except the sniper rifles. The Intervention is a nice rifle but I can't quite get comfortable with it, it doesn't seem to kill on a direct hit as often as the Barrett. The Barrett is good but it's a bit dull. The M21 isn't powerful enough, requiring a headshot to even have a reasonable chance of a one shot kill. The WA200 is just woeful.
There's definitely room for more sniper rifles, though they can always take the WA200 out.

I'm exactly the same with the Intervention, although it seems all fine and dandy, looks great, is statistically strong, I just can't seem to get to grips with it either. I've mainly been using the Barrett and the WA2000. As you say, the Barrett is solid, but with it being on COD4, I think some of "prestige" and wow factor has worn off a bit. I find the WA2000 to be good mind, not sensational but a decent sniper - it just looks weird as hell. I've just unlocked the M21 so I'll need to get using that, my mate says it's a great sniper so I can't wait to hop on the wagon.
I'll have to give the Intervention, WA200 (despite it's awful appearance) and the M21 some more play time. Perhaps I've judged them too quickly.

That happened to me earlier. I was on a 15 kill streak in Terminal and the host decided to quit. :realmad:
I played 1 on 1 and got accused of camping by someone who went straight for the roof on Highrise.

True camping (hiding in an obscure spot waiting to kill someone as they walk past) is rather cheap, if people want to do it I have not problem killing them. It's undeniably not in the spirit of the game, however, what is often suggested to be camping by Call of Duty players is perfectly acceptable.
Camping in my opinion is nothing short of pathetic, sitting in a spot and overlooking the map with a sniper rifle for example isn't camping no matter what people say. However as Original says, hiding in the corner of a room looking at a particular doorway is simply ridiculous, and has to be utterly boring for the person involved.

The Steyr AUG is class with Grip and RD sight.So powerful and accurate.Used to use The Famas with HBS but got bored and i found myself relying on it too much

I quite like when you have someone in your team that has the shield and they go in front of you. Gives you a little protection and your able to pick off the other team.
If they are in the other side use stun grenades or rpg. Or just empty a clip at them.
Had some great games last night. Stabbed someone in the neck last night and I heard someone in my team tell his mate who also was in my team that he just saw someone get owned by a knife. laughed my ass off.
Guys, I got a question. I'm using Predator Missile -> Harrier Strike -> Chopper Gunner. I got my Harrier and died, so after i respawned i used it. It got more then 5 kills, but why didn't i get the Predator Missile?
I guess it only counts as part of the killstreak which you gained it from.

As far as I can tell killstreak rewards count towards your killstreak on the leaderboards, they do not count towards earning your next killstreak award.

Meh... I started off well, but had a bad patch around mid December. Recently I've been finding some form again. My stats wouldn't be anywhere as good as they are if it wasn't for my cousin. We started off on the same level, but he has surpassed me by far.

I just started playing again after a few weeks and, oh dear, getting spanked whilst you get up to speed is less than fun.
On a good sniper level like Highrise I went 5-7. Thankfully my spak attack subsided and I was able to pull a few good games out of my arse, including a rather tasty win on Rundown, where we were losing 5100-6200 only for me to John Rambo it and managed to get a Harrier and a Pavelow up at the same time to win the game with figures of 22-4.
Also I am a bit of a Barrett snob when it comes to rifles. I fell in love with it on COD4 and the other rifles available in this game just look wrong, as orig mentioned. I might give the others a go but the Barrett's stats do seem to stack up pretty well against the other rifles.
You looked far from rusty on that game we played together.

A lot of people in my server were using the noob tubes, so I returned the favour by using akimbo shotguns. I got 2 winning kills using that! Haha.

yep used to be exactly the same as u as i used to avoid the sniper like the plague but now ive been using it got the thermal and it amazing 1 shot and ur gone most of the time :)
also use the acr for smaller levels like terminal and highrise but lately i have been trying to use the sniper for highrise without too much success as i always get stabbed up by some1 spawning near me that i didnt see.

I don't know how you've got such a high accuracy rating. To preserve it at 40% you must be firing less or not taking shots from distance or something. It's bizarre going through the accuracy leaderboards with everyone else on 22% or under, then there's a jump of 6% to me and then we whack up to 40% for yourself.
I think you have a similar setup as myself, with a sniper rifle accompanied with a shotgun and I guess both guns are used when a hit is almost guaranteed, but even still it's pretty good going.

I'm not entirely sure myself, as I do take plenty of long shots, even people running on the other side of the map... I'll have a pop at them. I'm at the top of my friends list but keep slipping down the main list due to all the people joining firing five shots and never playing again.
I have a few set ups involving the Barrett, WA200 and Intervention and either a shotgun or a machine pistol as secondary. I think it's partially down to me getting very annoyed when I miss and because I only ever really fire a maximum of three shots at a target. With assault rifles even kills include missed shots usually, with the sniper I often get one shot kills.
Though, if it's any consolation... it's steadily increasing. I'm hoping to get to 50% after I finish my exams.

I haven't started the single player on ps3 but had just about completed it on a cracked version for the pc. Its pretty good the single payer. The Brazilian levels are crap though. A bit too much of die, remember where they popped up, kill them and repeat. The Brit levels are better again. The ones with special forces with number.
Single payer pays just like a big blockbuster. Lots of fun.

After nuke hunting for a few weeks I kind of forgot about killstreaks until recently, I've finally changed them to Harrier- Pave Low- Chopper Gunner and I have been tearing shit up. KD ratio has gone up by .05 in a few days (sounds miniscule but is an almost Herculean feat with 12k kills in total) and my accuracy is now nearing 30%.
A few weeks off is a must with this game. I've now got certain builds for certain maps, particularly as the models now only work on Favela. Scrapyard is a map where I just nubetube the fuck out of it, it's cheap I know but it reaps the best results - Tonight a got the first kill with it via a flukey shot right from the off, I'm sure it didn't win me any friends but I've taken more than my fair share of tubes to warrant me giving some back.
The only downer to this game is knobs with mics. Original had the pleasure of dropping in one of my games where one delightful fellow was telling some Frenchies to speak English as it was "easier" :faceplm: This was accompanied with the usual array of racial epithets destined to improve international relations. Oh well.
After days of me playing woeful i got a nice 23-2 on Favela unfortunately some knobber found me at 18 kills with my 'chopper' out and slayed me. Still glad i'm getting back to basics again.

It's a new glitch in the game now. I played some S&D yesterday and there was a guy walking around holding a claymore in his hand and shooting through it. He also shot through a Tactical Insertion and a Semtex. Wierd Stuff :lol:

I haven't had a Nuke since I last ranked up; think I'm missing my beloved ACR! I like the M4, but the ACR just kicks ass. Think I should have had the Harrier/Pavelow/Chopper killstreak set, but wouldn't want that in case I did get near the 25 mark.
Still, I'm only a couple of ranks away from unlocking my baby again, so Nukes a comin'!

I think the ACR is a cracking gun no recoil and i have used it with Thermal and it was smashing you might be put off with the damage it does though.
I'm a big fan of the Famas one 3 shot burst usually kills.
Also the FAL hardly has recoil, never really got into that though.
I'm finding it hard to stick Semtex grenades to enemies, I've killed people using Semtex's but it hasn't stuck to him. Any tips how to stick them to enemies?

I was playing with some Hong Kong people in Karachi. It was probably the most boring match I've played. All of them were camping near the base. I quit, and tried to join another match, but the matchmaking system sucks, so I was connected to the same game again. Annoying! Only after I was kicked out for being inactive that I managed to find another match.
Dotty joined in, followed by Fab. As I recalled, Fab was very good in Afghan. He killed me quite a lot of times. Berry joined in but quit minutes after. I stabbed Fab near the end of the game in Invasion when he was busy sniping. I think it was the moment when my team started to lead. Someone in my team had a UAV 1 minute before the game ends. That helped a lot as my team won by 200 points.
Yeah, sadly I had to go offline. In the few minutes I was in that match, Fab was picking me off and I couldn't see where the hell he was. He's rather good at it :(

What surprised me is that even though his connection was on 1 bar, he managed to get the top score in Afghan and Invasion (for his team).

I am really up and down all the time, but even at my best I don't think I could come close to giving either Fab or Zissou even a run for thier money. I tend to start panicking and thus play shit whenever I get up around an 18 kill streak and die by being stupid or over cautious and naive.
I'm starting to use the ACR again, but for some reason its not counting any of my fmj kills towards the challenge to get extra mags. Not to bothered though since I use the scavenger perk. I'm bored of the shotgun now though. What does everyone use for thier secondary weapon?

I wish I could reset my stats.
This past week I've been playing at a ratio of around 2.0 to try and get 15k kills before 10k deaths. It takes me a stupidly long time to work out the maps and what guns work for which situations, but once you've cracked it you reap the rewards.
Even though the connection was shite all night I still pulled some decent scores out of my bum. Managed to rack up another big kill count for no deaths with 24, something I rarely did before Crimbo. Harrier- Pave Low- Chopper Gunner generally wins you games and it's a tad unfair for just 7 kills. They pick themselves really though, not much point of having an EMP as a reward when it's just a minor inconvenience.
I was considering whether or not to prestige earlier, purely for the fact that I miss the level up noise, but losing my Models, AK, thermal scoped Barrett and all of my perks probably isn't worth it.
Interestingly, although I'm the cunt with the C4, I've been using it quite sparsely as of late. Although the claymores would probably be more useful, it still brings a smile to my mug to throw a C4 into a packed room and tot up the kills.
Map-front - Rundown is cool with me, as is Afghan and Sub Base. I've avoided Derail until today, which is where I got the 24-0, and I still hate the place. There's only one decent spot with a good amount of protection and everyone knows where it is, so you either snipe from there or have a shotgun fight in the middle building.
Invasion can be an interesting map but can be a bit dull for sniper folk. Waiting out in the compound at the bottom can be hard going but strolling through the middle with a shotgun is a laugh. Karachi, from my POV, tends to be a race for the highest vantage point or trying to pick off whomever's there already.
Everyone knows whom Wasteland favours.
Terminal and Scrapyard I've started playing them the same way, mega cunt mode. It started out as me trying to complete the AK challenges but I came across a build that pretty much guarantees a lack of friends - Grenade launcher AK with Thumper in the secondary, Scavenger and Danger Close as perks and your set for an isolated life. It's probably not quite on the same level as the akimbo models with lightweight and marathon (at least when the 1887's were broken as fuck) but you do make an impact on proceedings.
Favela is the only map where the 1887's are viable for me. Most encounters are on a short range basis so a quick blast to the face and off you jog to find the next victim.
Rust... Fuck me Orig, if you snipe on that every time then you must be able to control your anger. It's designed to be a clusterfuck, but the game usually ends up breaking to the team that had the rub of the green in regards to spawning.
Quarry is like Marmite. It's impossible to get a stronghold for more than a few minutes what with there being so many possible avenues to outflank a 6 man team.
Estate I've started to warm to again. Provided you have some semi-competent support in regards to holding down the murder house, then you can have a gay old time sniping folk around the boat shed.
I love this game when I'm not shit at it.

I had my best KDR in Derail. It was 23-4. I changed my killstreak to Predator Missle-Attack Helicopter- AC130. Works so much better than Care Package - Airstrike - AC130.
I followed the patrolling technique, and it worked like a charm. All I did was patrolling near the train and patrolling inside the building near it.
Rundown has to be my favourite map, it's a beast ACR w/Silencer pwns
for some reason i do really shit when playing in a clan compared to playing on my own.
its pisses me off when sum1 kills u and u see ur mates hiding in a corner to finsh them off while they reload though.
The tactical knife attachment is soooo sweet! People cant get close to you.

Terminal and Scrapyard I've started playing them the same way, mega cunt mode. It started out as me trying to complete the AK challenges but I came across a build that pretty much guarantees a lack of friends - Grenade launcher AK with Thumper in the secondary, Scavenger and Danger Close as perks and your set for an isolated life. It's probably not quite on the same level as the akimbo models with lightweight and marathon (at least when the 1887's were broken as fuck) but you do make an impact on proceedings.
Rust... Fuck me Orig, if you snipe on that every time then you must be able to control your anger. It's designed to be a clusterfuck, but the game usually ends up breaking to the team that had the rub of the green in regards to spawning.
I love this game when I'm not shit at it.
Having experience that build in terminal, it's more annoying than akimbo 1887's and if I didn't know you I would put you solidly in the talentless cunt division.
What's wrong with sniping on Rust? It's great, 9/10 I come out with ~2:1 kill death ratio and I it's amusing picking people off the top. Does require quite a bit of close range sniping though. Can be a bitch if it's lagging a lot though.
I agree whole heartedly with your last statement. I'd also like to add that Carlo/DelBoy is a cunt, I was on a 13 killstreak (my record being a paltry 14) with my chopper gunner having just flown in... only for him and his ridiculous number of kills to end the match! :realmad:

This game has once more got me by the bollocks.
I no longer think of it as a friendly game of shooty shooty, but more an actual case of life and death where I must KILL KILL KILL. It's probably not the best game for developing social relationships but cock it, members of the public shall respect my KD ratio when it soon reaches unfathomable heights.
Also I've only just realised how futile going for nukes is. It's pointless and you just decimate your stats for the one off chance to make the screen go funny. Harrier - Pave Low - Chopper Gunner is just ungggh.
Interestingly I've never been moaned at more than I have recently. So many people equate sniping to camping it is unreal. They genuinely expect people to be running straight down the middle of the map with a rifle and just stand there in the open, rifle aimed at the sky. I felt scummy using the broken 1887's and I still do with my nubetube build, but never when I'm sniping. You have to hit moving targets over a long distance, which is quite difficult when compared to sitting in a corner with a heartbeat sensor.
I've seen people camping on the same spot for a whole game and i'm talking about a 10 minute game.... :faceplm:

I don't know how people can remain at the exact same spot for the entire game. Even if it pays off every now and then I would lack the sheer patience required to not do anything.
If you want to hold down an entire area then you need to move short distances quickly and be able to keep tabs on what's going on around you. This is the key to sniping and it's the main reason I keep playing. I would get zero enjoyment from hiding behind a corner mainly because I know that moving about even slightly increases your chances tenfold.

Indeed he is! Though Carlo has the highest killstreak I know of at 38! This is my first major killstreak and with my new predator, harrier, chopper gunner set up I don't expect it to be my last!
It does help a lot to have a good team with you though, it's safe to know when your back and/or sides are covered.
I am just waiting on the normal Team Tactical to be added to the playlist. I can't see why they're taking so long to add it. That's all we played on COD4.

Badger, you'll probably get another hater out of me ;) I really hate snipers but not in a childish 'they ruin it' way, I just know when they are good enough they can seriously reduce the map for you. And I'm just jealous 'cause I'm shit with sniper rifles.
I do hate heartbeat sensor though, properly. Feels like cheating to me, personally. But, if thats what you need to get kills so be it, or if you are desperate for more kills so be it. In the end its only a game and thats how i like to think of it, but I am human and do get quite pissed off when things go against me

- Model 1887: Bling using Akimbo and FMJ combination now has same range and damage as non-Bling Model 1887s.
- Improved player collision removing cases of getting into geometry and ‘elevators’.
- Mouse latency tweaks for more mouse movement consistency. (PC-ONLY)
- Fixes to prevent various texture hacks (PC-ONLY)
- Fix to prevent various XP hacks, including the prevention of obtaining negative XP.
These fixes, excluding the ones I’ve labeled as (PC-ONLY), are currently in test for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions as well. Before you ask why there is a delay from PC to consoles, it’s because we can update IW-NET directly and therefore the fastest. The console versions require additional testing through their respective manufacturers.

I find that I play for my own team more often than not. You have to really when people, whom you presume are covering a flank, decide to throw a grenade/nubetube before running back, fly past yourself leaving you to get knifed from the now clued in enemy.

If I get a two bar connection I consider myself lucky. Even with my dismal connection, I beast with the Barret+Acog scope, mainly on small to medium size maps. Also, running up to someone whilst having the riot shield equipped and throwing a knife in their face = win.

The matchmaking system has been horribly in my favour tonight. I was in a game where everyone was level 40 or below (non-prestiged) and I managed to tot up a 52-5 scoreline with a 37 killstreak on Favela.
Also trying to budge a KD ratio is pretty hard going when you've got 10k kills to your name. I'm going to have to kill 15,000 people in a row (without dying) to attain the rank of still-not-as-good-as-Fab. I probably shouldn't have died 10,000 times in the first place, but it takes me a while to grasp the basics.
Poor you Badgerman only managing to tot up a 37 killstreak in a 52-5 game in favela. I feel for you i really do :)
I am not one of those players that just sit back and camp to build their K/D ratio, I am actually a team player that trys to win each match for the team. But I must say, it's quite tough to maintain my ratio when I have to kill 3+ more than I die. Especially when the matchmaking system puts me in games with players of a similar skill level, unless I am lucky like Badgerman was yesterday.
I was at 3.11 before Christmas, now gone down between 3.05-3.08, up and down.

I noticed that I finished between you and your brother (as I often dream of...) but I was still a bit miffed to be cut short of 40.
But I remember seeing you on Terminal last night going down the Burger flank and more often than not you seem to come out on top. I simply cannot go down a main battle area of a map like that and take 3 scalps before popping my clogs.
Infact I'm not all that great at Terminal full stop, but last night I went 15-2 in that game we were in and our team was dominating so much that I spent the last half of the game waiting for my Pave Low and Chopper Gunner to come in, only to realise that we had so much air support that I had to sit on my arse until the end of the game.
Also expect to see me rolling with the FAL shotgun from here on out.

I raped tonight. Predator/Harrier/Pave Low used in quick succession can IMO be more effective than waiting around for a Chopper Gunner, especially on the more open maps.

I like it how people can take a .50 cal bullet to the chest and just run through it.
I do like the throwing knives though, admittedly I'm completely useless with them but it's always a laugh futilely throwing your knife from one side of the map to the other.
I've never really given the throwing knife a chance to be honest, but I might just equip it to some classes now for the sake of pure humiliation.
Haven't really played MW2 for a good few days now (never thought I'd be so surprised not playing a game for more than 3-4 days), but in saying that I've not really played on the Xbox this week. Been quite busy with assignment work which happens to be due in Friday, once that's complete, I'll be delving into the Batman: Arkum Asylum game I bought, with a side of MW2 of course.
Currently enjoying the Famas, but it's getting a bit annoying as whenever I've been playing it seems that long range maps are coming up far more frequently than that of short range ones. I'm happy to snipe and methodically play out a game, but after a while it gets a bit boring obviously, not to mention some of the shorter range maps are immense e.g. Favela, Terminal, Highrise etc. I wouldn't mind seeing a few COD4 classics reintroduced either like Vacant or Crash.

For example; if you were shot in the left leg, you would take damage as usual, but also go down to the left holding your leg, moving slow - so the camera would be slightly titled and lower until you recover. If shot in the hand or arm which is holding your gun, you would drop your gun and would need to pick it back up or pull out your secondary. Chest shots might push you to the ground and you would need to get back up - depending on the distance of the shot.
I am playing COD now, thinking how unrealistic the players are when shot. I can't find any faults with this idea to be honest, why has it not been done?

It was really hard to find a game earlier. I finally found one, but only 2 out of 10 people had 4 bars. The rest of us had 1 bar. What a nightmare. I managed to get 17-2. The harrier strike did the job. It got me 7 kills.

I agree with every sentiment of this. I appreciate that a .50 cal bullet may not kill you instantly if it hits you in the shin... but you sure as hell aren't going to be carrying on sprinting at me.

Ah yes the 1.08 patch for the PS3. I was playing on my friends PS3 MW2 earlier and it was fine...until he updated to the 1.08 patch, then it started to crash every time without fail before a match would start. Ridiculous really. After playing it on the PS3, I can sort of appreciate the Xbox 360 version more if I'm being honest, as it just doesn't feel natural using the PS3 control pad with the analog sticks at the bottom, and obviously the controller is quite small in the hand.

It's a common-ish problem that the developers are obviously aware of (they've been flooded with complaints, no doubt).
They're working with Sony to develop a fix but that's all I could find this morning.
Thankfully, mine is fine.
I had a bit of a strange time this morning. Played three games this morning, all on team deathmatch. First game had 23 kills and only 4 deaths. Then, with the exact same group of people had something like 7-12. Then followed that with a pathetic 4-14.
Far too inconsistent.

Finally i have the platinum trophy :) decided to sit bk down with mate and do the last few spec opps mission which where imo quite easy compared to the early 1s.
The Juggers are just easy to kill when ur far away :).

I've just beasted something evil on TDM there RPD w/grip :) switched to Sentry as i feel i get more kills from it than a Predator.
Hitting 30+ kills per map and around 5 deaths per match mmmm
sentry guns are alright but you need to know where to put them plus they can be destroyed with just a knife i usually would use a predator.
I really don't like the AK, way too much recoil. ACR is my favourite assault rifle.
I used to think exactly like u, way too much recoil so i thought 4get this but the ACR (even though its amazing) has really poor damage and in close quarted u would normally end up dead not any more. i try to avoid long distance shooting with the ak47 as it just jumps all over the place but it still managed kill quite a few fronm longish distance.

I'm bored of this game at the moment. Ever since the new patch came out, I can't find a game that has less than 100 ms ping, so most of the time, I find myself having 2 or 1 bar.
New Killstreak record of 26 :) until my mate knifed me ran out of ammo and tried to switch to a picked up Scar-H :( still my ratio is now 1.21 And growing everyday so i'm pleased.

My accuracy is going up .01% every game I play recently. I've changed to the Barret with thermal and my god, I love it! I always get a much better kill to death ratio now as well.
I really dont get noob tubers especially the guys who are on lvl 70 and still using that method of getting kills.
I dont mind getting shot with a grenade if its a well place shot its just the guys who walk around with it alreaddy loaded and still shoot at you from 10ft away.
