do you think it'd be a good idea for members over i dunno level 4 or something to be able to close their own threads?

ive got loads of threads that're dragging on and on and to be honest i just want em shut

what do you think?

IMO, not sure about that.
Just post the links and if they need shutting, maybe a mod/admin can help out.

First of all we Moderators, Super Moderators and Administrators are perfect, donīt make any mistakes, win on 5* with China against Brazil 10-0 in a 5 mins game, oh... and close incongruous threads within seconds ;). But if it happens somehow by accident that a thread which should be closed is not closed for some time then scroll down in the index, look which moderator is online and sent him a pm.

I just want to give mutu the chance to worship the mods and admins, after he has done this I will close it...maybe, if I want to ;)

Although the new levels system does build up power on the forums, we like to keep it so a member can only do things which directly affect his (or her) self. Closing threads affects all users, so we'd like to keep it as a staff only privelidge (<== is that spelt right?)
