Hiya.
I'm new to the forum & only the 2nd girlie at the moment?
My b/f is also a member, so I'm on my best behaviour!
I actually quite like PES3. I play about 7 or 8 games a week.
Plus I scored from nearly halfway yesterday! It's on my mem card!
He doesn't know about it (does now)
It's going to hurt him (been trying for ages)
Anyway better go
See ya! (sorry about all the brackets!)
Hola, welcome to PESInsight. It's customary for newbies to have to go through a hazing ritual before we accept them as real members, so be prepared to have to perform sexual acts with our gimp, Nifty. Just a warning.

Welcome Joanne. I'm curious as to who your bf is.
There's nothing like making a man feel low by beating him at his favourite game ;)
Welcome

Hello Miss Hughes! That goal is NOT from halfway. It's 45 metres.
Bloody lucky for you that you didn't delete my option file when you copied it as well.
Stop playing with these chaps, you're far too old for them.
Many thanks, S

Welcometh to the board, mistress. I see thou are shrewd across thy tongue.
Yeah, I can see us getting along real well. Me, good-looking. You, goo...well, willing. :D
Welcome aboard PESInsight Jo! *exaggerative smiley that looks like it's dribbling from excitement*

God help us all.......
What is this? "Oo0o0o0oH I'm co0o0o0oL, and a mOd, so I can use God's name in vain" ???
This isn't acceptable Zygalski. There was once, upon a time (that saying is ridiculous, "once upon a time" - everything's "upon a time," time's continuous, so it's a null saying, fuckin' ridiculous, I tell thou) when I was really feeling Zygalski was doing a good moderating job here. Recently, he's been falling away, with new contenders coming through by the minute.
Tut, tut. Tut, tut-tut-tut-tut-tut. AK47777777777777. Yeah. Yow.
I apologise. :(

You are very welcome ;)
It's good to see your creative side every once in a while paul.

Come on Paul, don't scare them off! :D
We may just have the largest PES-playing female numbers on any PES forum at the moment!

More than one. They're just a bit quiet.
Perhaps intimidated by the welcome wagon a la Nifty?

I thought I was being quite friendly-ish.
I'll make a concerted effort to be nice from now on.

11-02-2004, 04:41
seriously, this is probably why we dont have many female members on here!!! even if it is in jest.
hiya Jo. welcome to the board.
Nifty1Pound50
11-02-2004, 05:35
Oh, leave it out. If a little jest puts off a member, then they have very little self-belief or sense of humour, in which case a person of that type should not be allowed outside of bars, let alone onto a messageboard to interact with others.
Trying to blame me. Meh.

15-02-2004, 03:23
You boys! Mocking me for looking after my nails. Ho-hum.
Maybe I'll get the respect I deserve when you view my goal?
A very kind chap put it on for me- no names, you know who you are *mmmoooaaa* (big kiss)- on http://homepage.ntlworld.com/audrey.b/Batigol.wmv
Tell me what you think!
See ya soon!

Very good goal. Nice camera angle and good dribbling to skip past the tackle there.
What difficulty was it scored on?
Joanne*Hughes
15-02-2004, 18:53
Thanks Zygalski.
SVB's ML is on 4 stars.
I remember the Lens goally made a couple of other mis-takes in the game.
He's really bad!
I scored a great Pele scissor volley in another game too.
Just outside the edge of the area. Against Classic Germany.
Right in the corner! Boom! :D :D
sheringham316
15-02-2004, 20:20
quite a goal you got there. You saved your goal by pele??
Joanne*Hughes
15-02-2004, 22:23
Thank you..
I have indeed saved the Pele one!
But I don't want to keep asking people for favours.
They might want something from me in return!! ;)

k its workin now...
WHAT A PASS  what did ya press for that :L1: + :triangle: ??
Nifty1Pound50
22-02-2004, 00:35
Right in the corner! Boom! :D :D
Was this before or after the cross-quarter play in the third half of the second quarter? The offence of the players was simply amazing, with the ball flying through like a gen-you-whine Arkansas greased pig.
Joanne, are you a Yank? Or do females say "Boom" at football strikes?
stevieboy
22-02-2004, 00:35
The pass was a :L1: + R3 (R-Stick button) manual pass.
From that far back it's about 3/4 power or even slightly more.
I like Larsson's finish after he twats it... he actually moves to the side!?
Goals like that are very rare, no matter what anyone says.
First, the man. pass gets intercepted 9 times out of ten.
Second, even if the pass makes it, you often get a fluffed shot, blaze it wide, or nothing at all when you press :square: .
Lastly, which is worst, you've done your 40m pass, your FW volleys it, and surprise, surprise, the fu@king keeper saves it!
Glad you liked it though! :D
Nifty1Pound50
22-02-2004, 01:27
I've always found manual passes seem to find their target better, with the defenders not heading them clear nearly as often as the self-powered regular circle passes. Press it full power yet it still only crosses it as far as the furthest back defender can get, rather than beyond. Either that, or it goes straight over the top of the bar.
Goals like that are very rare, no matter what anyone says.
he's lying - he just thinks they are
take it like a man and shake it off, they are not hard to do!
39 replies and only 8 by nifty in a "girls" thread? his standards are slipping
stevieboy
22-02-2004, 04:42
Several people on this forum have said the V.Baston volley on PESfan is the best goal there.
Maybe it's all a massive conspiracy by the majority to make you think these goals are rare, when in fact people (like you, obviously) bang-em-in every other game.
Well, mine was on 5*, most times the defence will pick-up runs from MF by Forwards.
*edited ;)

I thought it was 40 replies (before this one and stevie's, as this is #43, so if you don't count the thread start, this is the 42nd).
You clearly didn't count your one. Which you should've done, really, because when anyone other than you reads it, it'll already be as a reply, saying "#41" in the corner. ;)
Anyway, you're only right to a point. I can't exactly class Joanne alongside Lucy as a "girl" - can I? That'd be doing Lucy a great injustice. It'd be like calling a horse "Barney the Dinosaur." Literally. Oops. That was dead and buried. Until now. Sincerest of apologies to thou'st, Barne...Lucy. Please know that everything I say is in jest, as those with jestful ways know. A bit silly of me to say "please know," and then imply that you can only "know" if you've "jestful ways" within you. Because, if you don't, you're buggered. Which would be a shame, in many ways.
The Official "Ways in Which it Would be a Shame" List:
1. I would like you to know what I know. Informing others, and being able to share knowledge, is how people grow. Without knowledge, the lack of knowledge of others would not be apparent, and therefore would be unlaughable at. Case study: umdiddly (1988-present). Information correct at time of writing, and in the future too, as the chances of him actually learning something in school are low, because he feels discriminated by his teachers. As a side-note, funny how the word "discriminate" would imply the uncriminalisation of something. Surely a good thing? Criminiating against someone, to me, looks the right word. You commit crime. So you criminate. Discriminating would be the opposite, hence cleansing the person. Anyway, on to rule two.
2. Watch this space.
Nifty. Is. Back. Officially. These rants can only get funnier from here, rest assured.
Where's the gyaldem at? Hollaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa at'cha boy. Or smething™.
Note: The ™ signifies the recognising of the spelling mistake/typo that precedes it. OK?

Ps. The person who was kind enough to do the video of my goal said he only knew of a couple of other proven examples of this type of goal...
Maybe you should select one of yours & put it on your compilation, instead of the Oliseh halfway-lob (I've got 6 50m+ lobs on my mem card) 'coz they really aren't rare!

Many apologies for my in-expansive mis-use of the vernacular.
"...firmly struck, directed towards the corner of the goal, tally-ho!"
There, reads so much better!
Oh and Stevieboy, stop being so damn & blasted cynical, what-what?
I'm sure your PESchum has plenty of examples! ;)

Your apologies aren't wanted.
I'd rather you used the widely-accepted terms or none at all.
You won't catch me talking about cooking, or sewing, at any great length, for example.

Lets try & settle our differences, like you say it is only a computer game!
I scored a nice Becks halfway lob from about 2m from wing, about 1m inside the half, against Chilavert, 4*. It's still on my mem card...
Maybe my tone was too gloating/boastfull.
Lets be more productive & get a working, easily accessable Goal Forum up & running.
Again,
sorry Mutu
you saw it then? :( damn i tried to edit it quick sharp:mad:
i always write nutty fight talk posts and then edit them when i realise theyre stupid lol :D sorreh
i might have to buy me a tvcard of my own....£50 you say
everyone was saying they were really expensive

I think this site should have its own section for goals... maybe if your thread comes big enough it could!! :)
stevieboy
22-02-2004, 18:56
Yes & no, Shez.
What I would ideally like is a devoted forum, rather than thread.
Then it could be sub-divided, by person with "search", type of goal, scorer/viewer comment thread, etc
I wouldn't mind seeing some of Zyg's goals in MPEG for instance.
Ease of use & accessability to all have to be the main criteria.
I don't care if someone doesn't want to buy a t.v card or x-port, though without the x-port they won't be able to contribute.
sheringham316
22-02-2004, 19:12
i aint got an x-port :(
i wouldnt know how to use unless i read the the instructions (lol) though i aint got the time right now :(

hi joanne..and welcome to PESInsight. this board is just getting better and better and better... lol .. it`s good to see a female posting once in a while. But don`t you think that maybe we should give them some 'more respect'. Like the guy who asked what underwear color does she wear..that`s totally rude and immature..bro..grow up.

Where's that typically eksol-esque spirit, man? ;)

Hm..I don`t know if you knew this or not, but we use "kid" word here in the states as "figure of speech". You can call a 50yerold "kid" and they won`t mind.
