I'll be honest, it's their recent success that has pushed me over the edge. They've broken the mainstream and people think they are a new band. The new stuff is REALLY cheesy and obvious too. They had some style before. Can't say I ever liked them appart from the odd track here and there and to make matter worse now, they look stupid, they have had this weird "indie" makeover!

I've also seen them twice live and they were really really boring to watch on both occasions. Not worthy of headlining.

This is of course my opinion.

Past tense. They're good but I've moved on and don't listen to any heavy stuff though will need to soon as Isis' new album is due in a couple of months. Tool didn't evolve enough on their fourth album for my liking and I will much prefer to listen to Isis, Mouth of the Architect and Rosetta if I ever do start listening to heavy music again. Helmet, Failure, the omitted Quicksand, 6gig, Gob and some others aren't "heavy".

If Tool came to Birmingham I'm not so sure I'd go and see them. If Isis came, I'd pay over the odds to go.
