The theme - classic clubs and countries from the 1990's. Recreate italia 90 or euro 96 using over 30 full country squads or play as classic Ajax or Dortmund etc in the champions league.

The players - squad players chosen according to following criteria; over 100 caps for a team during the 90's or player was an iconic figure for that team (i.e. Maradona for Napoli). Player stats taken from older versions of PES, championship manager & the PES player database. Player faces have been modelled for the most important players. Modern players such as Messi and C.Ronaldo are 'hidden' away as reserve players that can develop in master league mode.

The kits - retro kits for many teams, although teams that are un-editable have not been changed.

The challenge - for the hardest PES challenge ever try to win classic Serie A on Top player difficulty with any team apart from AC Milan (early 90's Milan were perhaps the greatest club team of all time).

but your download is incomplete, you have to copy all the necessary files from your PS3 to the USB Stick and then to the PC.

then put all that files in one folder and create a rar file.

move the mouse over the folder with all game files in it, and press the right mouse button, then you chose add to archive and rar format press ok, then you get a rar file. Upload this file (must be at least 3,6 MB!) on filefront and everybody is happy!

but there´s a small problem, your OF is for Konami Update 1.2.

so all 1.3 Users have to load the OF in the editor after NOT overwriting the OF at gamestart, when PS3 asks to.

the file is great! it just needs some small corrections, some of the players and player names of the german teams are wrong and you don´t have any new emblems. But overall is fantastic, you even did all this without any unlockable players, great job!:)

Arsenal are good in it, my mate is playing as the goon in a 90's Premier league were playing and he's doing well in it. Solid back line of Adams, Keown, Winturburn, Dixon - Seaman in goal (watch out for lobs, haha) - Berghamp and wrighty up front. You might hate me for this but i didnt include Henry cus he didnt sign for you until 99/00 season; you can find him as a fresh faced winger in the Monaco squad, so you could simply transfer him into Arsenal or play as Arsenal in Masterleague and try and prize him away from the french club!

I´m already switched back to Konami Update 1.0, just to see the full beauty. (1.3 Update will be no big harm: 40 players of some minor national teams and only 4 Players of the club teams Villa,Betis, Porto and Sporting will get lost.).

Ok, it didn't work for me... but I might be being stupid. Hope someone can help.

Basically I have a European, US and Jap account already on the PS3, and for each of these there is already 1.3 update already installed and running with PES. I downloaded the patch onto a USB stick (it's a .rar file, and it is on the stick), but the PS3 did not recognise it as being on the stick, no matter which profile I use. Should I make a new profile? And what would be stopping the PS3 at least reading that there was information on there?

It's a Japanese PS3, whether that makes any difference.

Hope someone can sort me out, I really want to play this! Especially as the Arsenal side seems to be sorted!

I love playing with Red Star too, its basically the team that won the european cup in 91 (or was it 92?), Mihaijlovic, Belodedic, Jugovic, Pancev, Savicevic, Prosinecki etc, excellent on the counter-attack.

Ok, I was doing something horribly wrong! I didn't extract the files - had a look on the help thread for OF's, and think this might be the problem!

Now I have a load of folders, and assume this is what I need to copy onto the PS3?

ok I´ll insert the emblems, a few kits and check the german issues. the rest will be up to you. I think there´s a lot of players out there who can support you with kits and improvement suggestions for all your teams. Why don´t you start improving your file with a list of all your new teams. this is necassary to get the support you need. so edit your post one and tell us which classic club teams you´ve done. so that all kitmakers know what´s the issue.

all Konami Update 1.3 user has to load this 1.0 OF in the editor, and do NOT overwrite the OF at gamestart, go to the editor load the OF and save it again, then you´ve got a 1.3 Version, which has minor flaws with national teams, but the club teams will work 99,99%. When I send the new version of the file to Pancho07, I´ll include a 1.3 switch, so this procedure will be obsolete.

you just need all the uniform datas and the edit data, the option file data will erase all of your statistic and the other file is a savegame.

so uniforms and edit folders must be on the USB stick /PS3/SAVEDATA

Sounds like you've been busy Abstruso, i think its gonna look amazing with the new badges etc. Bayer are great arn't they, really solid but with abit of Brazilian flair thrown in too! My attempts at werder and Stuttgart were abit half-hearted so theres definately room for improvement there, especially as you seem to know your German football. Also If you or anyone else could find stats for Stefan petterson that would be cool because I think IFK gothenburg could be alot better, they were hard to beat in the 90's.

Yep there's a 90's Liverpool, their kit hasn't been edited but they still look authentic with their Carlsberg sponser that they seem to have had for decades. I like playing in their grey 2nd kit, it looks really good for some reason. All the players you mentioned are in the squad.

Yes it looks amazing with the new emblems (a few still need improvement, but better then none).

I´m just uploading the file and send you the link for the 1.0 Version via private message. I hope you like it. I inserted 40 emblems (38 for teams, 2 for filling up my 3 new teams and the empty slots in league B), 29 new kits (all BuLi Team has now one from 2008/09 and one classic, I also edited most of the kits of the unloackable classic national teams and two sponsors for parma) and 3 new all star-teams in league B with 32 players and proper kits.

I´ve renamed all players of the classic national teams and some of the PES Shop. I added 20 classic player with PES Database stats.
I renamed Bernd Meier of Dortmund to Klos. Bayern gets Papin and Wouters (you can also add Jorginho from Classic Brasil!) and lose Friedrich (never played there!) and Hitzlsperger (to Stuttgart).
I´ve corrected some misspelling of german players like Effenburg, Shumacher (great, you´ve got him!) and a few more.Bremen and Stuttgart, I did your way, half-hearted (lol!), so I just gave the fake players proper names and looks.

So compared to your effort, I´ve done not very much, but I loved to help you out. Your file is like a timemachine to 90´s football. A true piece of art, congratulations!

I didn´t change any of your stats, they are great, I love to play the game with and against very good teams and you´ve got a lot of them.
(Only stats I would change are the one of Jancker, he was definitive no 90 striker)

The download contains another system option-file which unlock all unlockable players and teams, you can use it to to edit your file and play the classic national teams.

I recommand that you are not update your file with any konami update, because this would be a lot of work without reason. Just stay on 1.0, I can provide you with 1.3 switches for your file. Everyone who wants to use your File under Konami Update 1.2, 1.3, 1.4 or whatever just loads the edit data in the editor and saves it again (Don´t overwrtite the file at gamestart!)

I will send you an already 1.3 compatible edit-data as soon as I have it!

Oh, and it's only a small thing, my brother is a massive Spurs fan and pointed out one thing that you might want to change... Their sponsor should be "Holsten" and not "Holston".

Also, I want to put Rivaldo (my fave pro evo player pretty much) in the Brazil squad that's on there. When I try to though he isn't in the list as someone I can put in there? Is there a reason for this? He has to be in the 90's Brazil team - was pretty much their best player (a fit Ronaldo excepted!).

Just for the record I updated the file for Konami Update 1.3

following problems occur under 1.3

BETIS and FC Sevilla are switched, pancho´s rosters with wrong emblems and kits.

63 players dissapear

Serbia (Number 4 on the list/9/16), Slovakia (5,8,12,13,16,19,20), Bulgaria (5/18/15) Wales (15) Canada (2/3/6/13/15/17/19/20/22) USA (12/13/17/19/23) Iran (5/7/10/11/14/15) Saudi (8/15) Thailand (total 13 players) UAE (10 players)

so no big harm, maybe pancho can post us the names of the 3 serbian NT players and the 4 missing club players,so I can fix this for further 1.3 releases. I´ve already bring in new players for the NTs, Thailand and UAE will be incomplete at 1.3 (rosters of 10 and 13 men only, who cares, this teams can be filled up with players from the created player slots in the future, so there are 2 more slots for all-star team!).

Rivaldo is on my FIFA All-Star Team, so he´s avaiable now. And when anyone knows a way to improve the files, just post your suggestions here and Pancho07 will deal with it! Holsten was a very good first call!

So Pancho when do you will release the new version of your file? there are possibly a lot of people out there who wants to travel a little in time:D

Your right it is like an entirely new game. I got abit bored of playing with the same 4 teams that dominate football today so i started making teams that i loved watching in the 90's before football became unbalanced. Its impossible to imagine teams like Ajax, Dortmund, Marsielle or Red star winning europes top trophy now, but they were great a decade or so ago. With the new patch there are literally about 20+ club teams and 20+ countries that are great to play with, Abstruso is making it even better with kits, emblems etc (stuff that im not so good at) but its worth downloading now then getting the imprvements later.

It was a classic one too, but we had all the legends that played for the club, such as having Fachetti and Ronaldo in Inter, Cruijf and Rivaldo for Barca, de Stefano and Zidane for madrid.

But the creator stopped his contribution, so i was left alone. I added some modifications, but it was ruined by the 1.3 update. I mean totally ruined. Every player was mis-placed, even though i didn't over-write at the beginning. I copied into another account, but still, both were ruined.

So i am just telling you thats its nice from you to do such a thing. Plus i already updated to 1.3 and over-wrote, can i use the OF posted or not? Is the solution loading it from the editing page? I like the new update Konami did because a lot of players had their attributes become the real thing such as increased acceleration for Giovinco and poor dribbling for Ronaldinho.

I've loaded the update and I have 1.3 already on the PS3. I had to load from the edit screen though, and not overwrite when it prompted.

when you use the OF from post 3 under Konami Update 1.3, then you have to load the edit-data in the editor of the game! don´t overwrite the edit-data at gamestart, go to the editor load the file, then save it again and the file will work 99%(see post30!)

Ok, missing players for 1.3 update are as follows;

Serbia - Djordjevic, Milosevic & possibly Drulovic.
Bulgaria - Balakov, Kishishev
USA - Keller & possibly Tab Ramos

Porto - Drulovic
Aston Villa - Milosevic
Betis - Tab Ramos
Sp. Lisbon - Balakov
I can only assume that Djordjevic his missing from his club Olympiakos, and Keller is missing from liecester city. If anyone wants the stats for these guys let me know.

Oh yeah, another thing i forgot to mention when i initially posted my OF; Slavia Prague are actually Sparta Prague and Internacional of Brazil are actually Sao Paulo. By the time i got round to doing these teams i was running out of space but i really wanted to include them (Sao Paulo in particular were a real powerhouse in the 90's and a conveyer belt of top talent such as Cafu, Leonardo & Juninho Paulista). I hope everyone can forgive this small indescretion!
Adriano never played for Sao Paulo (or internacional for that matter) so he should be moved to the 'unnatached players' section.

I agree that Jancker (of Bayern) is too good, I should have realised that when he scored four past me in a pre-season friendly! His attack and shot technique stats should be lowered.

Rivaldo is in the Barcelona team but not the Brazil team; I think we should put move him into the Brazil squad (perhaps instead of Vampeta who doesnt seem to do much for the team).

Efan Ekoku of Wimbledon has a ponytail that he shouldnt have (i have no idea how that happened!)

Ive recently started a new job thats taking up all my time so i wont be able to correct most of the minor problems myself. The biggest problem seems to be that a few players still have the faces and hairstyles of the original players that i edited if that makes sense! Abstruso, perhaps i can leave it in your capable hands? Im sure lots of other people have ther own suggestions for how it could be improved. All i can say is that maybe we should try to get it as close to perfect as possible before we release the final version?????

just one problemo :crymore: theres no standard teams i.e. current lineups being replaced with past players. :shocking:

don't get me wrong i love playing with classic sides :D as it makes the gameplay sooooo much better but just a lil idea it would have been better to create them separately like in other leagues or summet, but i guess it does save a lot of time if you just put them straight into a current side. i know many will probably agree AND DISAGREE but its just a fair opinion.


Anyway i appreciate the time & effort that has been put into this as i know from experience how long this takes to create :huh:

k:realmad:nami fxxked us all again. just found out that the kits of all licensed CL Teams are totally mixed up in CL Mode under 1.3. It´s even at the start-demo of the game ManU Vs. Inter, they now have the kits of Lyon and Real. It´s only CL-Mode tournament and CL-exhibition. Can someone on 1.3 please confirm this fact or maybe it is just on my PS3 so?

well I can help but someone else has to do the basic editing. My OF is for Konami Update 1.3 and I can´t support two OFs for different Konami Versions. (Editing your file under 1.3 would be stupid!)

We can use this thread for suggestions of all kind. I´m only capable of imroving the german squads and the all-star teams. I don´t know anything about Sheffield, QPR, Derby, Leeds, Crystal, Ipswich, Bari, Zaragossa, Sociedad, Crystal, Forest etc. So we need more experts here who know the classic teams and can improve the file with infos, good uniform datas or ingame faces.

We need a reliable editor working without Konami-Update, so best would be you stay in command. All you have to do is working on the improvement posted here. The file is already amazing, so there is really no rush, so I suggest just let´s release the file and let´s see how many people are interested in improving the file and how their support is. Maybe we find some other editors willing to put a little work into imroving the kits or faces.

Hey guys. Please could somebody help me, as I am a complete noob when it comes to stuff like this.

This 90's option file has me drooling, playing against my utd fan mates with my classic arsenal team would be amazin, aswell as all the other 90's squads. But I've never done anything like downloaded PS3 data to install on my console before, for any reason, and I'm a little lost.

So I dont break my machine, could someone plaese do a idiots step by step guide as to what to do, starting with the link to the download, what folder to unzip it to, then what to do after its on your usb and how best to upload it to pes data without deleting all the other data (I'm currently playing with the latest download version [U.K])

This would be so much appreciated. Thanks.

Also any quick advise as to what to use for the pes edit data on the pc would be great too, so I could maybe try my hand at also adding an arsenal 'invincibles' season team, if its possible.

Hey guys, just saying that i dont need all that walkthrough. Got it working now. I had too many "savedata" folders. I copied the origional edit data and system options off the ps3, then replaced those with the downloaded folders of the same name, and then added all the kits folders into the same folder as the other two, loaded that onto a new profile and hey presto.

Anyway, I wanna thank everyone that has worked on this. It must have took some time, but its been soooo worth it. Its totally caught my attention of pes again. And in a way, i kinda like that its on the old OF. Its got the odd glitch and is a lot messier in games, which kinda adds to the feel of 90's football when it was a lot more like that than now, with good goal mouth scrambles and missplaced passes etc . . .

Anyway, thanks again for all the work. Its been totaly worth it to any football fan in their 20's or 30's, and i'm very appreciative of the what seems like a whole new and yet classic game.

ok, great thanks! just a tiny prob with the link for the original pancho file, but no one will need this version, the improved 1.0 has changed none of Pancho´s work, just added stuff!

no, I´ve just improved the 1.0 version and converted it for 1.4. I´ll do not more, the file is already amazing and when someone else wants to correct the correctable flaws under 1.4, you´re welcome.

but as I´ve already said, when someone wants to add more teams and players to the file, please use Version 1.0. We can easily transform a 1.4 OF out of a 1.0 OF, but once on any konami update we can´t go back. So erase the 1.3 gamedata from your PS3 and use the improved 1.0 Version when you want to add more stuff.

Guys, major problem here. I downloaded the option file and everything related. The problem is that I can't download the update. I did it like always, as a P2P, and with the upload limit on. But once i start downloading, all it downloads is 1 or 2 % more and then says that the internet connection was interferd with the Playstation Network. :(

Is anyone else facing the same problem? Or is there any way to download it from another place and then install it on the PS3? :crymore:

I dont know why those players are in the wrong teams, maybe you are using a different version of the game or something? Is it just a few players or lots? I can tell you who should be which team if you like, just let me know.

just go to EDIT and LOAD the file , you must do that before any SAVE , ....... Now , download the file again and transfer it to PS3 , then choose NO in the game main menu , then LOAD it from EDIT , I think that should work....... realy great work panchoo
