I don´t think all teams have realistic stadiums, e.g. La Coruna is playing in Nou Camp, but their stadium is more like Gran Chaco or Canavale, and that´s only one example. There are more in the game but whole lists are available on the net...somewhere. So it shouldn´t be any problem to update stadiums.

I think the default stadium choices are done according to the country of the club.

Catalonia Stadium:

Dietro Monte Stadium:
Valencia, Paris SG

Estadio Gran Chaco:
La Coruna, Boca Juniors, River Plate

Monaco Stadium:
Monaco

Nakhon Ratchasima:
Marseille

Amerigo Atlantis:
Bordeaux, Fiorentina, Vasco da Gama

Orange Arena:
Feyenoord, Ajax, Hamburg

:) I play Lazio and Roma at the Amerigo Atlantis because it has a similar design to Stadio Olimpico. Plus i don't let certain teams play at their rivals stadium, like Madrid at the Nou Camp! Or River at Boca's ground! Also at the start of every new season i change the stadiums for some teams otherwise you end up visiting some 7 or 8 times which can be boring!

I think Amerigo Atlantis is much smaller then Stadio Olimpico, and Real Madrid´s stadium looks like Camp Nou, no matter that Barca and Real are enemies. But everyone has his individual list. Your idea with changing the stadiums before are season is quite good, I used this method in my first seasons on PES2

:) Yeah, its just personal preferences. Amerigo Atlantis is my favourite stadium. But i also like the African one (Bloemfontein is it?) and the Ajax one as it can never rain!
