wolves last night we were shit! i was hurt and embarrassed by our performance! i thought wed got over conceeding 4 and 5! it pisses me off beat manutd! draw with l'pool play well v arsenal and then tht! but i have faith in dave jones he knows what hes doing! i think hes totally competent for the job i wouldnt want any1 instead of him at wolves (other than sam allardyce) but only cos hes a wolves fan! dave jones took wolves from 50/50 div1 team to team which some how missed out on being champions then winning playoff which we simply couldnt do! hes got battlers there at wolves! but we are carrying to many players who cant be arsed i.e naylor craddock
wolves have fulham, leicester and villa next! we need 7 points i reckon to have a quality chance of staying up!
When wolves conceed its like conceeding in a cup final! its tht heart renching second to none our worst performance was against charlton at home i was there and i was nearly in tears cos it was like watching £175 quid being burn infront of ya!
But i basically i want this thread to be the official wolves 1! whether u like it or not wolves are in the best league in the world and that creditits at least thread!
so please! have your opinion but no statments to cause offence beacuse well im preety sure were too old for tht :p
Definitely Maybe

Official Wolves thread? For fucks sake, this is getting rediculous.
Having said that, Jody Craddock is a legend.

i dont think wolves could afford to lose, but if they were going to, they needed it to only be 1-0 cos 4-1 was just demoralising against the only team below them.
i hope they stay up, but i cant see it!
I,m a wolves fan and i think its a good idea

the next few matches are very important... if they lost, it's over. let's pray for wolverhampton...

well i think the fulham game is massive !!!
jthk2004
14-02-2004, 00:10
i think the six-pointer against leicester is the most important...
Definitely Maybe
14-02-2004, 00:15
Dont get me wrong, Im really hoping you's do it. You've got alot of ex-SAFC players there, and Rae and Craddock are two of my favourite players of all time.
Cant really see it though.
jthk2004
14-02-2004, 00:17
and some ex-man u players like irwin and ince... experience is better than that sunderland team...
well, not very nice for irwin that he won the champions league a few seasons ago and now he's battling for a place in the prem with wolverhampton...

it's tough at the top, I'd like to see the wolves stay up as it took them so long to get there but being realistic I can't see it. at least they haven't over-stretched the budget and they look financially sound so they won't go out of business if and when they get relegated.

i listen to wolves leeds on the radio!
the commentator who i cant remember, was more concerned about his mate being stuck outside than the game, when we equalised rather than giving his now infamous cheer(infamous in wolverhampton) he just sorted said great effort robinson could of done betta
jthk2004
16-02-2004, 17:05
it means he does not care about wolverhampton now... give him the sack!

great win for the lads today!! we absolutely slaughted fulham! but in true tradition of wolves , we make wins harder than they are! paul ince was amzing he should of had a hat-trick and was look at his peak
tomo1811
23-02-2004, 16:08

I am a Wolves fan as well. I cannot believe that Wolves conceded four goals against Villa!!! Three goals in half an hour! What's happened to Wolves now? We need getting some points from Liverpool and Chelsea. I pray to God that Wolves must save, I refuse to concede that Wolves go down because they are gonna to be fight with survival chance!
tomo1811
15-03-2004, 04:56
4 against villa takes the piss!! but to be fair they wanted it more it summed up when 5 mins to go jl samuel slid a class tackle on henri, u cud tell the ladz cud ne be arsed
Wolves will bounce back from horrible thrashed by Aston Villa. tomo1811, I believe Wolves will make an Great Escape from relegation zone. COME ON, YOU WOLVES!!! BRING ON REDS!!! I would be ever overjoying IF Wolves make the survival in the Premiership. Hey, Baggies go back to Division one where you should be.

18-03-2004, 17:13
who were to blame though
personally paul jones and naylor
tomo1811
18-03-2004, 17:33
paul jones should of come for it, if naylor wore sure belt the ball at some fat bloke in the villa section
True, but you could see Naylor ws expecting Jones to come for it.

last minute really was harsh. but yet again it comes from a corner. we need to stop that happning cus we give aaway over 10 corners a game. but chelsea next. shud be a fun match. i jst hope we can take a point. and then fight for our lives in april.
wolvesfan15
21-03-2004, 07:31
but away from results. im glad too see mark clyde in the team. hes a quality player with a good pass and eye for players making runs. perfect example is his pass to rae who then set up inces goal against fulham. that was a quality pass too see coming from a wolves player (cus to be fair. we dnt make many good passes).
It's difficult to keep Wolves staying in the Premiership, I am urge Wolves to keep together. Away to Chelsea is a tough match in next match, I think we need 3 points rather tan one.
tomo1811
22-03-2004, 02:03

how u think we shud approach div1??
all out for championship or play as we are now??
Well we aint playin to bad at the moment and if we get a bit of money and Lescott and Murray am back we av got a great chance of winning the title.
Cort+Camara= 30+ goals.
tomo1811
29-04-2004, 10:55
i think we shud sign! tongue, bowyer, david johnson, dawson and frank de boer!!
David Johnson definatly, maybe Rob Earnsaw but he will probably cost a lot and Cardiff might not sell him.
Andy Reid, but Forest said they want 10mil for him.
Cort+Camara= 30+ goals.
That's a good forward line, Cort should do well next season & Camara should get about 20 goals
matty hadley
29-04-2004, 11:28
cort's got the height n pace
camara's got the skill and a gr8 finishing touch
i think we shud sign! tongue, bowyer, david johnson, dawson and frank de boer!!
You'll never get Frank de Boer, he'll either move to Qatar, stay at Rangers or retire.
tomo1811
29-04-2004, 12:02

Phil Jagielka of Sheff Utd is a good young defender aswell who would be a good signing

So no footballers will want to play for Wigan soon just because the population of Wigan are theaves? Yeah, you make a alot of sense.
Will see at the end of May where both of our clubs are and if Wolves go up then fair play but i'll have a bet with anyone on this site that Wigan will NOT go down, that's how confident i am, dad.

For me Heskey can leave tomorrow. Zaki is a Wigan player til June so all this talk of him going to Chelsea or Real Madrid can't happen til June. I'm sick of saying on this site and to all the other thick basterd's in this world that Zaki can't leave! i'm glad mick's come out and said no one's 4 sale, but good point from the brummie - everyone harps on about north n south, the midlands is where it's at!
i still hope albion choke on their own piss tho
Wolves have apparently signed Nenad Milija. If true, a really good start to their summer transfer activity.
They've signed him now. He's a fantastic player and Wolves fans will undoubtedly love him.

I don't think there should be any reason to deny him a work permit on appeal - he didn't qualify for one automatically but Wolves knew that was the case before finalising the deal with Red Star as that is based on representation for one's national side in a given time period (I forget the requirements).

Well, six months later, it's a bloody good job we did get him! He's been one of our only players so far that's looked liked scaring decent opposition!

Oh your one of them are you? Ha! Then in that case the lols are you on matey, atleast we're still gonna exist in a month's time!
I don't bother about the FA Cup as the league is always the first priority. Wolves have to beat the Blouses on Sunday, if we don't, we can't use excuses. Blouses fans are so arrogant, typical! God, I hate the Blouses! I hate them more than WBA! Their attendance is a joke! Shame on you, Blouses!
Is Nenad Milijas showing his class yet? And on that note, what of Segundo Castillo?
nath_scfc
03-02-2010, 10:48
Milijas was fantastic against Stoke. His delivery from set-pieces totally turned the game from being one we were comfortable in to one we very nearly lost.
Bloody hell! Typical of Kevin Phillips scoring against Wolves! Mad Mick, sort it out!!!

I fucking hate Kevin Phillips. He's the cunt of all cunts. Can't standing the fucking sight of him. Obviously pissed off about losing the lead, but shit!
Souness had it right when he said that Wolves had every decision in that game - how McCarthy can say you deserved to win is beyond me. Saying that I actually thought you would hang on - Phillips was the super sub again !!!
:lol::lol:
Possibly the most inspired substitute ever.
Blouses will always be in the shadow of Aston Villa. What was dirty Barry Ferguson doing on the pitch after his clash with Karl Henry?
:lol::lol::lol:
Super Kev.
Dale, aren't you embarrassed of Blouses' attendances, compared to Wolves'?
Why would I be embarrassed?
Aren't you embarrassed of a team that won the Championship, but now are struggling to get out of the relegation zone in the Premiership?
What do you expect? With Mick in charge? Look at what he did with Sunderland and now Wolves. He is a Championship manager. I am still hoping that Wolves stay up even though it is highly unlikely.
I hope Wolves stay up, nothings better than derby matches.
They are in a heap of shit at the moment though, what do you reckon needs to be done? More signings, change of manager/coaching, what?
Yeah, Mick should have made more signings in Jan, but he only managed to buy 2 players on loan. I would have given Mick time until the summer. You have Hart, Danns, Johnson, Ridgewell, Bowyer, Ferguson, McFadden, Chucho and others, compared to the players Wolves currently have. Wolves are an inexperienced side.

That's the most normal thing ever.
I do hope Wolves stay up. West Brom are likely to come up, so it'd be interesting to see Villa, Brum, Wolves and WBA all in the Prem at the same time.
muscularmatt
10-02-2010, 22:13
Good point, but I hope WBA get anal cancer. Fucking result against those southern fairies tonight, that's the double ladies!
A double over Spurs isn't something to brag about. ;)
I had a feeling you'd win tonight though. Wolves seem to be becoming quite tough to beat at home. Villa, Liverpool and Spurs haven't won there. I can see their home form being enough to keep them up.

After beating Spurs last week, how do you fancy your chances against us this weekend?
muscularmatt
16-02-2010, 18:00
Ummm not too good. I think we all know there is still a world of difference in the ruthlessness and consistency of Spurs and Chelsea. Wolves doubling Spurs was an upset, but Chelsea would be literally unthinkable. So anything would be a bonus.

Solbakken: 26 matches | 31 points | 1.19 point per match
Saunders: 20 matches | 20 points | 1.0 point per match
With Solbakken Wolves would have gotten 55 points statistically, but Solbakken usually gather more points towards the end of the season so it's a fair chance that Wolves would've stayed up if they'd kept him. 56 points would've been safe and 55 could've been enough with goal difference.

Should've stuck with Big Mick.
Or, they could've just stuck with Mick McCarthy. Yeah, they were struggling in the Premiership. Of course they were, they're fucking Wolves, playing mostly with players they used that got them promoted from The Championship. They would've went down from the Prem most probably with McCarthy but no chance they would've got into this shit with him still in charge.
EDIT Ali knows the score.
Saunders sacked, might as well have stayed at Doncaster and gone up with them lol penny for his thoughts now.

Interesting. I wouldn't have sacked him either, I don't really believe in chopping and changing managers mid season.
Should've stuck with Big Mick.
This is what I've said all along. I genuinely think we would have stayed up (last year) if he hadn't have been sacked. Next year is going to be fucking hard. We're going to have lose about three quarters of the squad to get the wage bill under control.

The sacking of Mick isn't the problem though, this scatter gun, thoughtless approach to appointments is the root of it all. Morgan and Moxey are just as, if not more, culpable than anyone else.
McCarthy was alright if you're content with being a yo-yo club, but I can totally understand them sacking him. Replacing him with Terry fucking Connor though? That's the problem.
Lets not forget Mick had a reasonable amount of money to play with. £7m on Roger Johnson, ffs.
