Edit Mode Ideas

I'm a big fan of edit mode, I have always spent a lot of time on it, in all of the PES since PES 2 i believe. So i want to point out some ideas.

1) 3 Kits For Each Club (Or Just Top Clubs)

It would be great to have that extra kit, the "alternate" kit, especially to compliment my second idea...

2) Mix And Match Kit Selection

I believe we had this in PES 4 or 5? it allowed us to have different combinations by mixing the socks, shorts and shirts before a match.

3) Untucked Shirts

It's something that always sounds like a small detail but actually increases the realism quite a bit. I think everyone would like this back as it's a simple yet effective feature.

4) Different Tape Lengths

Small detail again but it does add to the realism and options, long tape like what ronaldo had when he joined united and the shorter tape I believe we've already got.




I'd also like to say that i believe licenses shouldn't be one of the highest priority's when we have such a great edit mode and players that enjoy using it. All I believe we need is more empty team canvases to create on. I'm sure time would be better spent on improving the gameplay.

And lastly. Thanks for the feedback forums it's a great idea and i've been waiting eagerly to get my wishes across. :)

Completely agree with the above.

I would much rather have no licenses at all in the game and have an amazing edit mode to create the kits. I think it was PES 2008 that had licensed Ivory Coast, Czech Republic, etc that became outdated 2 months after release date meaning we were stuck with outdated kits for a further 10 months.

Another bonus would be bringing back pre-set faces and hair like we had in PES 6 with the option to add facial hair without having to create the face from scratch.

Something else I have thought of that I've not heard anyone else mention is to do with boots. I've noticed that there is never a normal black/red Adidas Predator boot to choose since PES 5 or 6 (I cant even remember if it was even in these tbh) so something different to combat this would be to include a miAdidas option for boot selection.

This way you could have your player wearing Predators but customise the colourway to match what he wears in real life. For example: Grafite for Wolfsburg plays in white/green Predators to match the club kit. I feel this would add an extra subtle sense of realism into the game.

Tattoo's are something else which has appeared more and more on modern-day footballers which still aren't included in the game. Obviously the tattoo's would be perfect but a couple of template designs/writing to add onto players of to be pre-set onto the players would be great.

yeah I agree also, I'd like to see more animations before, at half-time and after the game, such as before the game, when walking out to the pitch plays like rio ferdinand does his jump etc and some players touch the ground then bless themselves, aswell as having offical manangers on the game that shake hands before the game, then at half time more player animations as they are coming off the pitch, like players congratulating the player who scored in the first half and after the game again managers shaking hands and maybe if possible players swapping shirts or camera crews getting close up's of the goal scorers or man of the matches. And finally lol a goal of the month feature, where you can upload your best goals and will be featured on a PES goal of month channel.

i agree with facial hair like back on the old pes where u could put it on any player now u cant u haft to have a fake face to make it. untucked shirts is a must becuase again old pes had then now they been taken out like fifa never had them but when it was on next gen they got untucked shirts plus ankle tape with the whit socks like ronaldo and torres and maybe adebayor high up also sock lenth neck warmers undershorts and also getting dirty kits u cant play a game and have a clean kit

heres my imput:

the teams in league c which are there to be created over should be made useable in master league and bal etc. therefore if people wanted german teams or championship teams they could create over these and have them in the most important game modes adding realism. this was allowed in previous pes game and would make the master league and bal 100 times better. especially with the great edit patches available.

also i believe in master league mood as we (the player) act as manager there should be the option to sign sponsorship deals for money aswell as leave clubs and recruit backroom staff to help train the players we dont use as much.

also can we imput currency instead of points? and in master league give us the optio to take players on loan in the end of season negotiation period so we have them for the folowing season and the option to loan our players out...

Definitly the 'Create a Manager' option its a must have. I think that may be able to develop enough, from choosing how to reclaim any decision of the referee or how much motivation gives to the team, especially for the Master League.

It would be great if we could add logos/sponsors/badges to shorts and socks, sponsors on back of kits, import our own boots and captains armbands, create a stadium (I noticed someone else suggested that and it sounded like a good idea) or extra stadiums as DLC, create a manager (like in the PES management game on PS2), a much better face import (the one on PES09 is shocking), possibly be able to import .pngs for whole kits like on the PC version, third/alternative kits for teams and also the possibility to mix and match different parts of kits together (e.g. home shirt and socks, away shorts), more slots for kit pngs and club badges.

I really do think that if Konami concentrate less on licenses, and more on the edit mode capabilities. not only will it be less work for Konami (so they can concentrate on more important things) but it would be better for us.

Just think, the more licensed clubs the less kits to edit. Cause lets face it there not gonna buy licenses for clubs then allow us to completely change them all. So i think licensed kits will remain uneditable.

Please Konami, just more empty slots for custom teams and league will suffice.

I agree entirely. The logo of a team should appear on the chest, shorts and possibly socks. The face import thing is not that bad. I did some face scans of Ze Roberto, Farfan and Asamoah and you'd swear that Konami made the faces. I could post the pics if you want :blush:

- In addition to the "create a manager" idea above: allow an imported face scan to create the manager so that it's not the same old grey guy managing the team, but really mr. Wenger himself

I think that on the whole it sounds like you want a return to the old editing mode. Its been something that has been severly limited since the switch to next gen gaming. Its kind of a shame since creating your own team for master league was fun. I personally wouldn't use the create a manager mode but sounds interesting if you were to put in Master League. Not in favour of changing the crowd chants as this could end up with some really bad being in... I would prefer real recordings from actual matches!
I am in favour of getting 3rd kits back, especially if they were licensed ones. As for your idea about the gloves I wouldn't mind this but I would love to see licensed keepers gloves such as puma,nike,adidas,umbro,lotto,u hlsport etc... there are tonnes out there and more licensed ones would be great. The same goes for the boots in my opinion more licensed ones would be great. They made a good start with 2009 but I would love to see more!
I like all the ideas about preset hair and faces and acessories that you can put on the players. Its how it used to be so why change it!

As good as Torres looks he doesn't have his trademark tattoos.

Also certain goalies wear tracksuit bottoms like Helton of Porto so they should be in too.

And bring back neckwarmers, half the players in Serie A wear them in winter

The boots thing I like, but I wouldn't mind having the same boots as last time eg. nike, adidas and puma, but however updated to the latest boots eg. new vapors, new predators, but then the plain black, white, red, blue you could add a design to.

Tattoo's I thik would be a good idea if you were able to take your shirt of after you score a last minute winner.

I came up with afew ideas not really related to edit mode, but still improvements I and many others would like:
Become A Coach
Kick About (basically the same as Free Roam)
Indoor 5-Aside Training Pitch
Controllable Cut Scenes/ Choosable Statements after matches
A Change Kit/ 3rd Kit (As said in first post)
And the Improvement better than all- In rival matches there is a higher tempo, more physical, better atmosphere, and abit of pushing and shuving.

Let me know what you all think, especially the rival matches.

For edit mode i just want to add that it would be excellent if you could choose long pants for goalkeepers because in real world that is usual especially if they are playing in rain or snow,also i want to be able to have neckwarmers,gloves and longer pants under shorts for players when playing in winter.

And one more thing to be able to delete player from database,as to edit balls,and make that if you have same boots in more colors that they are all on one slot.

There are some very good ideas in here. And i totally agree that konami should bring back old features from previous pro games like; creating boots and editing players facial hair. But i believe that they should bring back the option of ' Base copy' when you could copy actual players. i believe this was a good feature because i liked using players i copied to make different teams like, premiership's best, Serie A's best, La liga's best etc. I believe this option can add depth to the game

I would love create a manager mode for master league. Also, could you confirm if you can simulate matches in new ML?

Also they should provide stats when you score. For example when the scorer name apears thy could put the total number of goals in the torunament ans asists.

Edit Referee Names!

A global editor where you can basically edit a specific stat for every player by a certain number.

For example i want to reduce the speed of the game so rather than editing each player seperately which takes time, it would be cool if i could just do the edit once and have it apply to every player on the game.

Let's say i edit Van Persie's top speed by 10; i'd like the same reduction to be applied to every player without having to do it seperately.

The Faces you made maybe good, but please do me a favor.
Try to make a Scan-Face of somebody with a beard.

Kevin Kuranyi for example and you will fail to make them look good.

The face import is not bad, but it needs improvements.

Have a referee editor. Show the referee and display his name before kick off.

Hi.
I would like to see either 3 kits per team for outfield players or a mix and match option. Man U could then wear white socks in europe and black in the league and I would also like managers.
I would also like the crowds to have banners and flairs when appropriate.
Also more realistic referees or the ability to create referees.Maybe more options too like a pre match information about the referee and how strict he/she is or how they could be influenced in the big games.
I also would like more penalties in the next PES because in 2010 the tackles inside the area which are not given sometimes borders on rediculous.
I would also like an option to have penalty shoot outs afer exhibition games,Online friendlies,or after pre season friendlies in Master League.
I would like better celebrations after goals too. This could be done by taking Fifa's approach or to be able to activate celebrations that are just assigned to the player that scores the goal.
I also would like a revamped Master League experience with more options so the player can enjoy this game mode more.This could be helped by having options like team starting funds,tranfer difficulty levels and AI transfer frequency along with players favourites.
Finally stadium builder may be good and along with the other ideas in this thread I believe the game would be better,thankyou.

I would like to see Mix and Match home and away parts - 3rd kit has been ruled out by Jon Murphy.

Tight fit option for all kits - like the world cup update (France)
Adidas 3 stripes as one part - they're sponsored by Adidas aren't they? Why have to waste one kit part on and adidas part?
More kit parts, To make the Germany kit, you need 2 collar parts, 2 cuffs parts, and 2 adidas stripes parts before you even think about the chest/stomach parts, all in 4 spaces.

Full face mapping - on all the others, it didn't do your chin, so if you have a beard, it's just a moustache. This Is Football, had a very good 3d moddeling system, it just needed implementing better. Fight Night R4 also has a good one.

i would personaly love to see
1 an extra 20 teams to edit (so i can create a league of custom teams)
2 the option to have 3 tiers again in master league (so i can use them)
3 an overall edit feature (that randomly generates player stats in custom clubs based on the teams overall ability) that would save messing around
4 random head creation feature
5 3rd kits (they could have added this when they removed the damn seconday gk kit) they are badly needed in some cases (chelsea 09-10 away springs to mind)
6 a option to set weather or not a team has alternate shorts or socks for a given kit and the option to wear them
7 stadium editor
8 trophy editor (including a league badge feature that pops the badge you set on the arms of the players) this could be like smackdown vs raw 07s belt editor
9 team shuffle (ability to move teams from league to league)
10 bring back the ability to edit your master league team and keep it seperate from the rest like in 09 also (could make it multiplayer too)
11 spend money earned on become a legend mode on upgrading your player stats or somyhing like that (i dont care what it is just do somthing with it also make contracts legal and binding till they run out so that their is no option to fuck off after half a season)

those are my choices and i must say as a pc gamer i would happily sacrifice graphics for 5 or 6
but 3 4 7 and 8 would be nice to see
and 10 is a must
but the others im not fussed i just thort i would throw them in there lol

(and on the subject of untucked shirts they are already in the pc version
and as for what the nameless said about germany i agree with having the adidas stripes as one part aswell as 2 seperate parts but as for the font of the kit just use a png it works just as well)

One I thought might be a good idea.

Perhaps you could sign-up some companies to offer genuine shirt sponsor logos in edit mode? This would allow players to run their own teams displaying genuine, paid for licenses. Forza Motorsports has a selection of pre-made sponsors users can use on their cars if they don't wish to create their own and of course, being one-piece and pre-made, they look of higher quality than most user-created attempts.

At the very least, the Konami font would be a good idea, as it would look more authentic if it blended well with the kit.

Hair and facial hair should have adjustment boxes for length, height, width, thickness and position. Could even give us a "comb" tool to drag it around and manipulate it. The current preset choices are far too limiting. Facial hair in particular always looks like adolescent scruff, rather than real beards and 'staches.

I started playin ISS PRO on PS1 and since the bought every game I could.
I found myself enjoying most of my time in Edit Mode and Master League.
So for PES 2012 I would like to see following things that would really improve the realistic approach of the game:
- Editable Boots (we had this in PES6 I Think): so we can make our own boots if they are not licenced (like Asics, Joma,...) + more colorways!! and not only the new boots but let us make the old boots as well! (like Copa Mundials! or Vapor III which a lot of players still wear!): this gives the option to make boots that are not being licenced
- The undershirts these days are the new best thing to go with if it gets cold (or even if its warm) So set it on temperature: if below 15 degrees he wears 1 with a collar and long sleeves, if below 5 degrees he wears gloves etc etc) and the same with the undershort/pants-> Arjen Robben remember?
- Tattoos: I'm not a big fan of this but a lot of players are, so we should be able to get a full body tattood...
-Kits: I would like to see 3 kits like most teams have + the options like a few years ago that you could pick your color of shorts an socks before a game! + Not a very big fan but: more options to edit the kits (from unlicsenced teams: easier ways to make the sponsord on a shirt)
Accessories: BIG FAN of this one: Friendshipbracelets can be taken out of this because this is banned from football fields. The tapes or sportbands HAVE to stay you could even be able to give a BIG tape (like A.Song from Arsenal has)
Tape socks: more options please: not only white but give it black, white and color of the socks!
Socks: WHO took away the low socks?!?!? You had low, normal, and high! Please someone bring back the low socks!
An other Idea: let us pick the size of shirt, shorts and socks: Some players like a shirt thats loose another likes it tight!
Gloves: when do we finally get the option to choose what kind of gloves a keeper wears? and I'll be fair: if its just the colors I'll be happy allready! For the brands I'll wait some more :-) but please give me the option to choose which color the keeper wears (and NOT in edit kit but in edit PLAYER!) and pay attention to the gloves of the keeper, I don't think this is too hard to do, small detail = big difference
More Hairstyles please and more up to date :D
Neck Warmers: also with temperature: these are a new must-have for a lot of players: and not only in black please)
Untucked Shirts: I think is a musthave these days so keep it and expand it by: tucked in right side, tucked in left side, or only in front.
White socks over the normal socks!! this is also very common!
The Create A Manager I love to see! now I play with Barcelona a player comes of and who do i see giving him a hand of "well played boy" an old grey fat coach... Guardiola is a better option i guess...
I would also like to see: Classic players = Players who are retired!
Stars= Players who play in competition or teams who are not included in PES (like Beckham) so that you can still buy them WITHOUT other teams buying Maradona or Pele... so make a difference between the two (like the German Players...)

There is still a long way to go to add many of the before mentioned requested stuff!
Especially the kit editing before game start (choose what shirt with what shorts and what socks to match) is a very missed feature because Basel was stupid enough to have 2 dark shirt-combinations this year and almost always plays with an alternative white shirt not available ingame.

My most important request are for the stadium editor:

- I want to place the stadium on the map (and with it where the club's homeland is)
- I want to decide the capacity of the stadium and how often it is close to sold out (we have about 29'000 at average in a stadium for 37'500 so it's not like in ML where I often play before half empty stadium)
- I want to decide where the teams enter the pitch (and what the entry looks like when the first thing is achieved)
- I want to decide where the away fans are and how small their section is.
- I also want to decide where the "tifosi" are, meaning the ones that wave the flags and...
- I want do define a stadium part where there is smoke and fire while the teams enter the field or after the home team scored like this:

I fell in love with PES at PES5 where I had to do Basel from scratch and that was kind of better to now where I'm limited because of them being licensed.
I loved editing right away but there are so many features that I sometimes miss, I'd love if they asked more of us what they should add.
I had to completely redo the St. Jakob-Park because there were always the away fans in the section where the Muttenzerkurve (our tifosi) are :realmad: I couldn't stand it, but now Main and rear stand are the wrong way round because of that:erm:

2) being able to have bigger numbers for back of jerseys
3) we could edit the whole kit like chest logos but this time all over the kits
4) having third kits as an option
5) being able to have at least a lot more team emblems instead of 51

Ive got some ideas.
1) please, make it so we are able to save emblems like we are able to save kits. that would be awesome.
2) as a lot of people already said, make the mix and match selection and if possible 3rd kits would be awesome.
3) tatoos and more realistic scares on players like tevez or lescott
4)Boot editor so we can add logos to them and other stuff like flags, names and numbers.
5) if you implement the emblem thing i asked for earlier in the post, make an option so when we go to "edit>league/cup" there is an option "add" and "delete" leagues
6) make the referees customizable and also make them like FIFA has, so it says if he/she is strict or not.
7) when youre editing a team, add an option "add rival" so for example for barcelona id choose Madrid and Espanyol and at those matches, the fans would be louder and the referee would be under pressure so hed make more mistakes than usual
8) make it available so we can add logos and strips and stuff to gloves, shorts, socks, headbands etc.
9) please please please make it available so we can edit the back of the shirts with logos and also the sides of the shirt, so like for example we can put logos on the end of the sleeves.
10) put in editable adboards and turfs in the stadium creator

that is all, please i hope i gave you some good ideas on how to improve the edit mode

i think tattoos dosen't look so good because its hard to realize. fine lines on a arm or a small word on a neck or something.. how does it work? and when then its "washed" or soething so you can't clearly read/saw it.
but some very good other things are here in this thread!

i got a small list of some editing ideas:
- more classic teams: like these "All stars/Best europe/asia-teams" would be a great feature. and teams like classic spain, classic japan.
- more jersey-editing-slots: 3 slots doesn't fit for some teams. i think 4-5 slots are better. and an adding of the team-name on the back of a shirt. positioning the number on a shirt should be change too.
- more options for creating a player: more undershirts, tapes, trikot-styles, boots, hair-options (every hairstyle should be availeble for every player in the game), more letter styles (some players had a " ´" over a "c" but you cannot write it when you want. you must copy a player, delete nearly everything etc.)
- the xbox360 version should have the same things that the ps3 have. load png's, own chants, music etc.
- create-a-referee: make your own ref's. maybe some people have a "realistic" referee in there league and not a standard-guy in a yellow dress. with different styles like one who shows a lot cards or someone who is "shy" at showing card, whistles many penalties etc. including the coin-flip at the beginning of a game and a penalty-shootout
- more team-logo slots
- more options in the stadium-editor: other/more roof-types, main/rear/side stand closer to the field, these nets behind the goals could be add, change the goal(net) style, more benches (maybe integrated in a stand), at important games you can see an choreography and things like that. and you didn't must buy stadium-things from the shop
- change official teams things: maybe every team or just national teams had a coach that you can edit, you can change these 3 letters of each team, maybe do you own trikot.
- "more options": like create your own ball or team or league or something like that

some things are small, some are bigger but i think i would make the game better

My ideas:

1.) Number of teams to edit = number of badges to edit (in PES 2012 had more teams to edit than badges to edit :no: ).
2.) In stadiums editor, parts of the stadium with the scoreboard (in PES 2012 you can create stadiums but there's no scoreboard for anywhere :ninja: ). Scoreboard hanging on the center roof of the stadium (like Arena Auf Schalke for example).
3.) To solve the problem of the licenses, make something like the kitserver mod for PC version (import the enterely kit, including shorts and socks).
4.) If the point 3 isn't possible, import images for back of the shirt, sides and sleves. The same for shorts and socks.
5.) Possibility of third shirt.
6.) Possibility of combine the kits like in PES 5.
7.) Return of the boot editor (like in PS2 versions).
8.) Ball editor (please :crymore:).
9.) Referee face editor.
10.) Most populous beard hair.
11.) For real faces the possibility of put beard.
12.) In rewards unlock hair manga characters like Captain Tsubasa :lol:.
13.) In stadiums editor put more than one fence in the same level stand.
14.) In stadiums editor again, can leave a part of stadium without stand.
15.) Change the background image of the menus like in PES 2011 but chosen you the background from HDD.
16.) More layers for shirt, shorts and socks editor (the 4 layers for shirts, the 3 for shorts and the 2 for socks aren't enough for edit wich kits).
17.) More Japanese stadiums of PS2 versions (Sapporo Dome, Big Eye, International Yokohama, Tokyo Olimpic Stadium, etc...).

Introduce indepth edit mode for consOles -

*More options with shirt numbering, this hasn't been updated in years.
*deeper creation options for stadiums

*ADJUSTABLE CAMERA ANGLES & HEIGHT on consoles!!
Come on KONAMI this is a no brainer... FIFA has had it for years, it's simple and allows for a far more authentic recreation of the beautiful game.

*Allow us to move between clubs as manager in Master League, again this would greatly strengthen your product when competing with FIFA and would allow us to enjoy the many leagues on offer. It would require the development of 2nd Div leagues but it's possible.

I totally agree with the calls for you to add facial hair to players without having to reconstruct their faces.
I would also like to see some proper beards and taches available, I'm sick of these bumfluff efforts they serve up year after year.

Please if you modify the numbres or abilities of a player or a team let it affect it truly, what I mean sometimes you want to modify a team's abilities or a player's abilities to make it as close as in real life and when you play or when you simulate a match it doesn't show like the numbers say.
