http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/8119951.stm

He's just been taken to hospital.

EDIT: Just turned on the TV and it seems to be the case that he has died. I was hoping to get free tickets from work for his gigs at the O2.

I'll wait for more info before throwing out any RIPs.

Pure hilarity, I almost died hearing this.

But I can't help but feel there could be a massive conspiracy here. Think about it. He had these huge concerts coming up, which we all know he couldn't possibly perform. Yet he couldn't quit, as he'd have to give the money back, which he obviously needs. Therefore I can't help but think he might be faking his own death. We know he loves privacy, but he needs money. Now he can have this. There's so many lookalikes they could have used as fodder. And he's no stranger to plastic surgery, so he could transform himself again.

It'd be much funnier if he had snuffed it, but it just seems very convenient.

Ive been listening to his music since before I can remember. I was always, and always will be a huge fan of Michael Jackson, fuck the rumours/lies, this man deserves respect and may he rest in peace.

I was out tonight in Spoons, when the story came on Sky News and to be honest I was on a downer. I knew he wouldnt be doing any concerts and while I have tickets to see him in September, I wanted him to come through it before even thinking about my money back. I still cant believe it.

I feel the same way. i grew up listening to his music and I'm devastated. Anytime I hear a song of his I just get into a great mood I can't really explain it. From the Jackson 5 to his solo career. Hell I even devoted a months time learning to do the moon walk in every which way imaginable  Thats the kind of performer he was their was the music and then his larger than life videos and persona. I just wish we could have had him around longer he was getting ready for his comeback tour, Thriller 25th anniversary was recently released. But most importantly he has left behind his children who deserved to have him around. The world has lost a natural performer today. I don't know what else to say. why are cunts making out that jacko was a saint ? lets face it. He turned himself white and felt up kids and payed for his mistakes outside of court. The worse thing he done was the time he held his baby from the balcony. anyone else woulda got arrested but not that weirdo.

the only thing good i have to say about jackson is the time when his hair caught fire. what a truely memorable moment i'd have loved to seen

he's done fuck all since the earth song. i hated him when he was alive, when i heard he croaked it i had my doubts and decided to forgive him for being a shite cunt...not anymore tho, the fact people are forgetting his negatives are annoying me

Well I'm a fan of Michael Jackson thats why. I like his music and becasue of that I have a right to express my thoughts on his passing. Your not a fan so whats the point in discussing his passing? This is a huge icon who shaped the way music is he is up there with the passing of Lennon and Elvis. But again your not a fan so whats the point? I'm upset with his passing and If I want to talk about his accomplishments and impact than I have every right to. Anytime your able to change the way music is listened to and performed your a legend. That is why this is a big deal this is just some musician that passed away its The King of Pop. Listen everyone has faults in their life and I'm not here to talk about his run ins with the law thats neither here nor there. I'm a genuine fan and I'm just upset about his passing.

I can see it now; Fred Astaire, Vaslav Nijinsky and Michael Jackson having a dance-off with the Lord taking bets on the winner. Moses at the turntables.

You judge someone's music on their reputation? Most of his songs are absolute classics and have been the soundtrack to many people's lives! Sure that doesn't make him sane or a good person, but then everyone has their problems.

I'm just very surprised you've heard so little of his music. I reckon you'll know songs that you maybe didn't know was him...? Billie Jean? Thriller? Bad? His music with the Jackson 5?

I don't know. Another reason for why I've heard so little of his songs could be that he didn't have a hit song while I was growing up. I first gained my exposure to MJ from my primary school mates who used to tease me because I have the same name (Michael), though mine is spelled is Mikhael.

Murder?

We've learned law enforcement is looking for a doctor who lived at Michael Jackson's home -- and the doctor is nowhere to be found.

Law enforcement sources tell us a BMW belonging to the doctor was towed from Jackson's home last night.

Cops are looking to interview the doc.

A law enforcement source says the doctor gave Jackson an injection before he died.

Jackson reportedly may have OD'd on Demerol. As we first reported, family members were concerned that Jackson was taking too much morphine.

I wasn't that shocked funnily enough as he's looked nigh on death for some time.

In some ways it's better that he died now before any more stories of his 'private' activities come, inevitably, to light.

Been innundated with jokes on the email today however...

What's the difference between Jacko & a plastic bag?
Ones white, made of plastic & dangerous for kids to play with. The other is a plastic bag.

Jacko's body will be melted down in a positive recycling effort. It's said that he will be made into plastic cups so kids can still get their lips around his rim.

I really don't think the guy was a nonce, i think he was brutally nieve i mean on TV he said nothing was wrong with sharing a bed with a child, just nievity is unreal with that.

If he had went to court and fought against the lawcase with that lad he apparently molested, he'd have most likely one plus saved so much money. He got scared paid them off and never thought about how that could be perceived.

Still what a performer, he changed pop music for the good, musically and visually with his videos.

I think the Doctor has over medicated him and then shat himself and now went on the run.

"Like Tupac Shakur, The Notorious B.I.G. and others, record sales for the late pop icon Michael Jackson have spiked in the days following the singer’s untimely passing.

According to new reports, the demand for Jackson’s music has far exceeded the supply, leaving retailers rushing to fill backorders for The King of Pop.

Several Best Buy outlets are completely sold out of Michael Jackson albums and the 25th anniversary edition of Thriller is currently out of stock at online retail outlet Amazon.com.

Bill Carr, vice president of music and video at Amazon says, "This is simply unprecedented.” In addition to the legendary Thriller album, Amazon is also out of all Jackson and Jackson 5 albums.

"We've seen the death of Johnny Cash and Frank Sinatra and many other artists, but none of them compare to what we're witnessing today,” Carr added.

So exactly how popular is Jackson’s music these days?

"In the last 24 hours, we've actually sold more Michael Jackson albums in our MP3 and CD stores than we have in the 11 years since the launch of our music business," he said.

For those who cannot get enough of Michael Jackson music, there may be one—or several—posthumous albums released.

Madness, mate.

Actually seen people grabbing everything MJ today in HMV and his section was fast empting.

Ive been questioned by ITV on his death at HMV, what do I think about his death, how do I feel about it and so on. My reply was 'How do I feel? I feel gutted, plain and simple. Forget the allegations, which were unproven by the way, about his private life. The man died a musical legend, a genious, an Icon and no one can take that away from him. Hes gone early like Elvis and other greats, but in my opinion he's the greatest and no on can hold a candle. Since before I can remember Ive been a true fan to MJ - My first steps was the Moonwalk for Gods sake. May he rest in peace. Thanks'

Yeah, I mentioned that I was already sick of it, yesterday (on another site). I think every channel has spent at least half the day broadcasting The Life Of Michael Jackson documentaries; and music channels have been playing his videos non-stop.

Compared to everything we had to put up with Jade Goody, no, not at all.

The best thing to come out of his death is that MTV are actually playing some music for a change.

I agree with this. Not only that, but when someone who revolutionized an industry as big as music, then I think he deserves a few days of tribute. I mean, he wasn't a random singer, he was arguably the greatest performer ever. He literally had it all: singing, dancing, live performances - he's just a rare talent that can not be replicated.

What annoys me though, is the people who go and rush to buy his albums now, claiming to be big MJ fans. If they were such big fans, then why the hell don't they have his albums already? Why weren't they buying the albums when he needed them to buy it? Why does it take death for you to be appreciated?

I don't mind the music channels playing his videos non stop, as let's be honest, it's better than the stuff you get now a days.

I'm sure Jackson's fed up of all this coverage. Infact, if he was alive, he'd probably be saying leave me alone about now.

Funny you should mention that, I saw this a while ago.

MICHAEL JACKSON WAS QUICK TO PLACATE WORRIED FANS that his 160 date comeback tour was still "very much on" despite his death last night.

Thousands of fans thought they had been left high and dry after the shocking news emerged that the pint sized Peter Piper of rock, Michael Jackson, had died in an alleged freak accident involving a trans-sexual gorilla, a tub of yoghurt and Justin Timberlake.

"Well thats just f*cking great", said one disgruntled fan on hearing the news last night, "that man is always looking for attention. Well, I for one will be demanding a refund."

However, shortly after his death was confirmed, Jacko (who is the queen, of our hearts) convened a hastily arranged press conferance to allay fears that his up-coming tour would be cancelled. Looking a rude picture of health, despite his being dead, he said, "yes, I am dead, perhaps I shouldn't have laughed at the gorilla in that ridiculous bra, but I won't let that stop me from performing. And Justin perhaps took offence at my ridiculing of his sub-par imitation of my dance-moves. Anyways, the show will go on!"

Just before being wheeled off for an autopsy Jackson said, "I love you all (well, I did when I was alive anyway)".
The news bought to mind memories when Michael Jackson last died in 1986, after he inadvertently insulted Jesus in a New York wine bar.

Michael Jackson's ribs were broken as medics frantically tried to resuscitate him from a cardiac arrest, according to the star's autopsy report.

The Sun has revealed shocking details from the King Of Pop's autopsy, conducted after his untimely death on Thursday.

Four puncture sites were found on the 50 year old's chest - appearing to be a result of attempts to restart his heart with shots of adrenaline, according to the publication.

And the star's hips, thighs and shoulders were also riddled with needle wounds.

The leaked autopsy reveals Jackson weighed just eight stone (50 kilograms) when he died. Pathologists found his stomach empty apart from partially-dissolved pills and samples have now been sent for toxicology tests.

Jackson was also discovered to be balding underneath his famed black hair - the document states the star had little more than a "peach fuzz" on his scalp.

Coroner officials found the star had bruising on his knees and shins as well as a cut on his back.

The three hour autopsy on Friday revealed no indication of trauma or foul play, but a final verdict will take up to six weeks as Los Angeles coroner officials are taking extra time to complete toxicology, neuropathology and pulmonary tests before determining the exact cause.

Apparently this came from Jordan Chandler

I want to say that this information it’s for sure (I mess up with the names because i was crying), I don’t really care if you believe it or not, I made a promise to an old friend to tell the truth when Michael will die and that’s what I’m doing. I’m not searching for attention i have enough of it. This is for you Mikey i will always love you…
After the sudden death of Michael Jackson Jordan Chandler tells the truth.

In 1993, Chandler told a psychiatrist and police that he and Jackson had engaged in sexual acts that included oral sex, the boy gave detailed description of Jackson’s genitals. The case was settled out of court for a reported $22 million, but the strain led Jackson to begin taking painkillers. Eventually he became addicted.

Now maybe for the remorse of his death Chandler decides to tell us the truth. ” I never meant to lie and destroy Michael Jackson but my father made me to tell only lies. Now i can’t tell Michael how much i’m sorry and if he will forgive me ”. Evan Chandler was tape-recorded saying amongst other things, “If I go through with this, I win big-time. There’s no way I lose. I will get everything I want and they will be destroyed forever…

Under the influence of a controversial father (Evan Chandler) told his son to tell that Jackson had touched his penis.Evan Chandler then told a psychiatrist and later police that he and Jackson had engaged in acts of kissing, masturbation and oral sex, as well as giving a detailed description of what he alleged were the singer’s genitals.
” Now for the first time i can’t bear to lie anymore. Michael Jackson didn’t do anything to me, all was my father lies to escape from being poor.

Ive just come to all these stories that are now surfacing. Whats your opinion?

Methinks you missed the point...

No-one gave a shit about taking the piss out of the guy while he was alive. I highly doubt anyone on here was whiter than white when it came to mocking his various surgeries (no pun intended). When he dangled his kid off a balcony, who said "oh, it's Jackson, he's a pop legend so that's fine"? And who on here can honestly say they were 100% non-commital regarding his alleged sexual transgressions with kids?

So I ask you, why is it any different now?

I'm sure your immediate thought is "he isn't here to defend himself". Christ! When he was alive he wasn't very good at that.

Maybe some think it is too soon. Perhaps, but other 'stars' have been ripped to shreds within 24hrs without such throwbacks.

Fine, so the creator of the Sock Puppett Theatre isn't going to wow the crowds with his stand up, but to consider his comments pathetic?

I guess it's down to personal taste, personally I agree with a lot of his comments.

He flew over to the 'States shortly after Michael Jacksons death and I havent heard anything about him since. The pleasures of being a useless nonce with no job and mammy/daddy funding you financially.

I hate the bastard and he knows that.

Yeah he seems to be a knob/like knob in his anus.

He didn't do his home town proud when he was in the Big Bro house, that's for sure.

His dad funds his trips, is he mental? If he was my son, I'd boot him out on to the street.

Michael Jackson’s father Joseph has confirmed that the singer did have a secret son.

Jospeh was responding to recent media speculation suggesting Michael had fathered Omer Bhatti, now 25, in an one-night stand in Oslo in 1984.

“Yes, I knew he had another son,” Joseph told NewsOne/TVOne.

“He looks like a Jackson. He acts like a Jackson. He can dance like a Jackson. This boy is a fantastic dancer.”

The claims come after Bhatti denied the rumours last week, saying instead that the late singer was his “best friend”.

Other reports to emerge today suggest that Michael’s mother Katherine is to take full custody of her son’s three other children, Prince Michael, Paris Katherine and Blanket.

Question: Why does he look like Jackson after all the surgeries?

Ah I forgot to mention something. It seems 'Michael Jacksons number one fan' Seany from Derry is now a father, with two African lesbians. It was in the Derry Journal last week.

Easily the most shocking news of the year to date.

So the trial of Conrad Murray is underway now. The prosecution showed to the court a presentation, which included a picture of a dead Michael Jackson. It's quite chilling, so I'll post the link in spoiler tags:

I'd seriously recommend hopping onto www.TMZ.com to keep an eye on the trial as they're covering it right now, and talking about it (Harvey and another guy on the show right now have Law qualifications so they do provide quite good insight).

There's also a phone conversation that has been leaked, from around just 6 weeks before MJ died, and he is so drugged out it's quite literally haunting to listen to. It's on TMZ if anyone's interested.

So do you guys think Conrad Murray is guilty of involuntary manslaughter? Or do you believe that Michael gave himself the lethal dose while Conrad was out of the room?

It certainly seems to be the latter. Propofol of course should not be used at all unless in a medical facility so that's medical malpractice right there without a doubt. It's almost a guarantee that Murray will have his medical license stripped, but as far as facing the 4 year penalty for involuntary manslaughter is up in the air. While Murray is obviously a money-grabbing doctor like many in Hollywood I imagine and a sly person, I don't honestly believe he gave Michael Jackson the fatal dose. It was a serious overdose to great lengths, of which wouldn't be consistent with how Murray had been treating him - granted Murray shouldn't have been giving MJ propofol in the first place, but he had been giving MJ it for over a month, every single day, but in smaller doses. So to then give him one huge dose wouldn't make any sense, and as Conrad Murray stresses, he left to go to the toilet and was out of the room for 2 minutes. It is all quite a mystery still though since we don't know 'exactly' what happened on Michael's last day.

I don't think that Conrad Murray can be held responsible for MJ's death. MJ was most probably very much in love with drugs, and he hired his own personal doctor to "control" his substance abuse.

The job was most probably payed incredibly well, and among other things the job description included getting MJ high. If MJ wants some, MJ gets some or else you're looking for a new job.

Watching the vids from the trial really makes me sick, the American justice system is a big fat joke.

The voice of innocence? This guy loved being high, he loved it, wanted it and got what he wanted.
