Yo guys, havnt been on the forums in an AGE, only just remembered me password lol, urmmm..... after a long spell of FIFA 09 on the xbox i decided to gon on PES 09, for a change, only to find that i couldnt find it, later descovering that i had traded it in. However, i didnt want to go on pes 2008, and so i busted my dusty old PS2 for a change, and whacked in PES6, i as pleasently suprised, that all the squads were REALLY out of date and spent atleast 5 hours uptating everything on my option file.
... There is a point to this thread tand that point is ... the edit mode in PES6 was so much better than the current "next gen" consoles ones, and its only the little things, for example. Neck warmers, necklases, shirt tucked in or out, sock length, etc and also i waish to see a boot edit mode in PES 2010, just generally a more in depth edit mode really, just for all those nerdy geeks like me that spend more time in edit mode than actually playing the game ;), anyway ...
i just wanted your opinion on what you guys want in the 2010 edit mode, obv we want LOADS more boots right, and a boot edit mode. but yeah hit me back guys,
hope i havnt double posted

i thought the Pes 2009 for ps3 editing mode was pretty good , what do you mean by Varieties , what else can we have ?

13-07-2009, 23:22
things like editing shorts...the ability to put logo's onto the shorts and also socks...maybe boots say if you have a GF and may want to put her name on them lol
also tattoo's i would love to see as im a fan of the art work

In my opinion, More options, more varieties means, allow us to be able do more things in Edit mode! Allow us to make or design the boots, more hairstyles, more this or that! The Kit styles avilable are sexually limited. You seriously just can't do anything on Edit mode! Pro 2009 wasn't bad but it can be so much more better it's not even funny!
Even if they wanted they can update hairstyles and sh*t via online updates, that would be sooo sthuper-awsthome. Konami need to step up.
Why is it that we fans can see this but the production team can't! Has it really taken them 6-7 years or more to create the ultimate game! Well Pro 2010 better be the ultimate or I'm gonna be in bed with Fifa in October!

ye pretty much, i agree apart from the sexualness of the post :D, urm... y more variety i just mean more general options, i had another thought about boots:
If nike, adidas, puma, reebok etc have given konami the licence to use there boot designs then why not this idea.
imagine this:
you go into edit mode, you have an options menu :
EDIT PLAYER
EDIT TEAM
EDIT CUP OR LEAGUE NAME
EDIT STADIUM
EDIT BOOTS
now like in pes 5 and 6 you can enter the "EDIT BOOT" option from the list.
from here i think instead of 12 boot slots, maybe 22 or sumthing in the 20s.
BOOT TYPE 1
BOOT TYPE 2
ETC .... an so on
you have an option to choose which boots are in which slot, which then corresponds to the boots in the EDIT PLAYER section.
you decide to choose boot type one, you then have the option of :
ADIDAS
NIKE
PUMA
UMBRO
LOTTO etc
you then can shoose any of the licensed boots, or boot TEMPLATES
for example, under the NIKE section we should be able to shoose Nike Mercuiral Vapors, then choose whether we want the official ones created for the game OR customize them by manual settings in pes 5 and 6, just not the design, so maybe use the mercurial vapors and for example:
BOOT TYPE: NIKE
BOOT TEMPLATE: M.VAPOUR
BOOT MAIN COLOUR: (here is where you choose a colour from the colour chart like in edit mode)
BOOT ACCENT COLOR: (choose the colour of the accent or "secondary colour, using the colour chart)
LACES COLOUR: (etc)
and so on and so forth
i hope you guys under stand what i mean, by that, i got a wee bit confused myself, but yeah just the ability to create boots with licenced templates would be cool, aswell as player options like "SHIRT UNTUCKED" and NECK WARMERS, finger tape etc, make it as real as possible.
I WANT PINK TOTAL 90's GUYS
thanks again

I love that idea bruv...is awesome but i doubt that amount of detail because i think konami would have a license to follow like only a certain color boot and things...but if you could edit kit better like beyern munich's kits

Totally dude, I just hope they allow us to edit the shorts and socks on the kits. Also I hope they revert back to the PES6 in allowing us to have default faces on our own custom players. eg. (if i wanted torres' face on my custom player, then I can or any other player for that matter)
With regard to boots, I wish they would just give us the boot templates. Obviously they might have some difficulty attaining the license for this idea. But surely you don't need a different license for each individual design of boot. I'd rather they just give us boot templates for each brand. Like the predator & adipure for Adidas and the vapour & urcurial for nike and we could edit the colour as we saw fit. Would be similar to the edit system on Fight Night Round 4 where you can pick your brand a style of shorts and then have your own colours.

awesome point mate but again konami is known for putting in minimal content regarding balls and boots and stadiums.. if this year is different and they offer tons of content then your suggestion could be added....
it would be awesome if you could add ,pngs to balls and boots this year as long as you have the right layout for the skin that is....for me tho shorts and socks plus the option of tattoo's are what im hoping for

for me they could keep the pes 2009 edit mode or go back to the pes6 on ps2 edit mode, just so long as they take out the licensed kits being blocked for future editing! that is the only real thing wrong. and maybe add a good boot and ball editor
i like the idea of tattoos that would be cool covering your whole body in tats

for me they could keep the pes 2009 edit mode or go back to the pes6 on ps2 edit mode...
They've already mentioned you can have untucked shirts in 2010 which was last available in PES6 so hopefully the other things missing from the PES2009 edit mode that were in the PES6 edit mode are in too.

fifa did introduce tattoo's in their UT mode and it looked really cool...so hopefully they will add those into pes...but on a more important note shorts and socks need to be editable and boots

24-07-2009, 15:44
but on a more important note shorts and socks need to be editable and boots
Should be a lot more options in the list like there are for strips. Isn't there only about 8 different types of sock design?
shankly is god
24-07-2009, 15:46
^^ yes but im not on about more "style" options i mean the ability to add .png files and .psd files etc to the short and socks.....
Rob21C_UK
24-07-2009, 15:57
^^ A combination of the two even. Have the game use as many png files as you need for the tops (the whole top not some choice of dodgy shaped template at the front), shorts, socks, balls and boots. Surely there's nothing EA can do to stop Konami giving us the option to import custom png files for these items.
shankly is god
24-07-2009, 16:01
^^ no there isnt EA have no power over them... i create custom designs for my teams anyway that do cover most of the body..but i am pissed of that when i create a fanatsy liverpool kit its only the shirt that gets to be modded...i really hope i can do the socks and shorts...the balls and boots would be awesome but highly doubtful...
I dunno why they can't add just blank shirts templates with the stitching & piping etc incorporated but leave off the logo, emblem cos we can put those on ourselves.
If you don't quite understand my vision.
Think of the Liverpool kit for example made by Adidas with the circles down the side of the torso and piping on the chest. They could programme in the circles and piping etc then allow us to put on the logo, emblem, kit sponsor ourselves. hey presto, licensing issue solved. As for the stripes. you could pick there usual templates like 1 stripe down the arm accompanied by a 2nd template of 2 wider stripes down the arm & there you have the 3 stripes of Adidas aswell.
This could be done for the shorts and socks aswell & before you know it, we would be able to customise real life kits wthout Konami getting busted for licencing issues.
Would defernately beat the options they give us aready as quoted above "(the whole top not some choice of dodgy shaped template at the front)"
It is pretty similar to my suggestion with the boots, but minus the logo's. I don't see why this is such an issue for a major game corporation & if someone does, the please enlighten me so I don't have to keep suffering with the thought in mind!!
shankly is god
25-07-2009, 16:24
^^ sounds good mate but you kno they wont...Liverpool FC and konami would see that as defacing something...but with the default teams they give us we could make those teams up anyway..i always do it i make liverpool and other teams fantasy kits, im just hoping for a bigger range of editing ability as the one in 2009 is good but you can tell its only a stepping stone.

i never expected this thread to pick up, to be honest i thought i was the only person that cares about changing players boots and so on . i didnt know they had already meantioned that you can have untucked shirts, has it been confirmed, in conclusion i just want more boots and more kit detail in edit mode :D
I think before they get licensing for Nike, Adidas etc. They should get the real names and logos of EVERY team. I find it weird how they have Liverpool and Man Utd but not Arsenal ,Chelsea etc.

I don't remember it this was an unofficial version of the game or not,
but quite a while ago I remember going on my cousin's PS2, and completely redesigning a team. I could even create the logos!
Does anyone remember that??
When I bought my first PES for my xbox 360 (07), I was so disappointed that the editing mode was so limited. I used to have so much fun editing on my cousin's PS2.

Sounds like PES5 to me.
I don't know how can anyone say that pes 2009's edit mode was limited. It was the BEST edit mode so far. The reason was that you could even create textures in your PNG's + the sponsors and all the words written on the kit would be there unlike when using logos. The only downfall was that there weren't enough templates and the shorts didn't have a logo placement.

Sorry for posting this in this thread, I've been absent from the forums and news on both PES and FIFA lately. But since it has something to do with editing, I thought I'd bring it up here.
I just saw this in the "other gaming forum" under "FIFA10":
http://www.pesgaming.com/showthread.php?t=70883&page=7
Please have a look at thread #100 from "skullverine" with the videoclip in it. Search for about 7:09 into the clip, and watch the edit set pieces clip!!! This is entirely new to me - and I must admit: It looks absolutely cool! Especially when you get those freekicks, where your chances at goal are really slim. Now you can create a goalscoring opportunity by making different players make "weird" runs to confuse the defenders - then make quick 1-2 passes and have a great shot at goal!! Brilliant! What a shame PES didn't come up with this first though...
so it was a bit limited then?
What the? Every edit mode can be beter and it was limited to a certain point, but my point was that the ps2 version's edit mode was much more limited. When in the ps2 days, could you add textures to kits and add all the little text possible on the kits?
shankly is god
27-07-2009, 15:40
Yeah. If I'm not mistaken, the current contract for FIFA to have the Premier-ship exclusive license will end in 2010.
so after that then we can hope konami will wake up and get in there before fifa...
PES 2009 Edit mode has now set the way for editing in console games no longer will we need to manually edit colors in pixel length we will simply insert a .png to change the interface of something... I truly believe that konami were testing this out in pes2009 to see if it would work and to see how effective it was...
in pes 2009 it was limited how due to the fact it was only available for the front of kits but not in term of creativity if you have a knowledge for graphics then you can create any kit you like via PS or FW or any other programme that is capable of producing .png's..
if konami now utilize this option the possibilities are now endless as long as WE get the layouts right we could do:
*socks
*shorts
*Balls
*Boots
*background images (future pes)
*advertising boards(future pes)
all these things are possible with the ability of .png uploads...
also with the .MP3 uploads they could be utilized into many different areas...

I never got PES 2009, and I don't have, and don't plan on getting the Live Camera.
Will I need that to be able to edit on my Xbox 360 on PES 2010?
I heard that if you insert a USB, you can just use the pngs you guys were talking about.
Will that work?
basicly .png are files that can have a transparrent background so you can create any image you wan using photoshop or fireworks then save it onto a USB flashdrive and then insert it onto the game via the upload facility that pes 2009 offers....

I'm certainly not getting a PS3, lol. Too much money to spend, when I'm trying to save up to buy this year's games.
Right now, I have on my list:
-PES 2010 (And/Or Fifa10)
-Halo ODST (Maybs...)
-Modern Warfare 2
-Transformers 2 (I am on hold to rent it at my library, let's see if it's any good before I buy it).
i would say the Operation flash point 2 is a must buy it will make COD look like a PS1 game trust...its an actual war simulator... http://www.codemasters.co.uk/flashpoint/index.php

I didn't mind last years edit mode really, thou for a xbox 360 user, taking pictures of all the emblems and kits and then having to cut round them all was abit of a chore, but I was under the impression that konami would continually update the boots on PES 2009 think they did it once with adidas f50+ thats it! where since then there has been loads of new nike and adidas boots out better then the ones in game , with no update to keep the game fresh. plus more kit variations would be nice, plus even a boot set that you can change the colours of yourself

we need :
More Kit Designs (Shirts , Short & Sock Designs)
Starting Budgets In Master League
Transfers (Loan & Free Agent = All Year Round)
More Hairstyles (this is a must considering most of the hairstyle are basicly the same kind of cut)
more badge spaces (for people who want to create a FULL LEAGUE (german league or whatever league they like)
if possible , when you add kits not all the files everywhere , try include the kits into the Edit saved data means you only have 1 BIG FILE which is easier for us all

For years PES editing mode has always been one of the best for a sports game but over the years there have been some obvious blips such as PES 4 which had no striped kits in the template but silly kits with Hearts on them.
The reason why people love the edit mode is becuase
1. It lets you keep player stats up to date of in some cases correct them
2. it lets you keep kits and playing accessories up to date
3. Player creations can be pretty accurate
the list goes on but one of the things that was noticed in last years version and many other releases is that you have not been able to get kits spot on such as the Arsenal strip in 2009 which is 90% accurate.
KITS
Here are a list of the main kit manufactuers in Europe, Asia and the Americas
Adidas (Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Japan, Nigeria, France, Germany, Mexico, Russia & River Plate)
Canterbury (Portsmouth)
Champion (Wigan & Wales)
Diadora (Napoli, Scotland)
Errea (Atalanta)
Kappa (Roma, Torino, Metz & Borrussia Dortmund)
Le Coq Sportif (Everton & Wolves)
Lotto (Borussia Monchengladbach, Colombia)
Nike (Arsenal, Aston Villa, Fulham, Celtic & Boca Juniors)
Puma (Cameroon, Italy & Feyenoord)
Reebook (Bolton)
Umbro (Lyon, West Ham, Sunderland & Man City)
Now this is an exhaustive list and I have not even mentioned all of the teams who's kits are provided by these manufactuers. I dont see why Konami can't approach these manufactuers and ask for their templates for a fixed period that way the kits will be 100% authentic both player and GKs kits. There must be the capacity to add these templates onto Blu Ray or 360/PC DVD. The big four Nike, Adidas, Umbro & Puma will have the most templates, mid companies like Kappa, Le coq Sportif & Lotto will have a few and the likes of Champion, Canterbury & Errea are gonna have maybe one or two. it would be nice if they looked as good as the licencsed kits as well.
The short length option form the previous PES games should be brought back as classic players did not have shorts as long as they do now example below. Also the shirt tightness option as in PES 3 as some of these kits and shorts are tighter fitting than others.
Maradona in 86

Torres now.

Kit Options
One of the best options introduced was the untucked or tucked shirts and the socks low sock high as there are many players that wear their kit in specific ways and in some ways it emphisies the players personality on the pitch.

Obviously in the Totti, Hleb and Henry photos you notice the difference in the way socks are worn. I have noticed there are more players due to shirts being tighter are wearing their sleeves in what is best described as a 3/4 roll.
http://blogs.nypost.com/sports/soccer/photos/Cristiano_Ronaldo.jpg
Also the slight variations in the way tape is worn as on PES you have the standard one ring round the ankle but there are variations as shown below
http://d.yimg.com/eur.yimg.com/ng/sp/afpji/20090513/newsmlmmd.3fb3ace2a09e81f71bd7 1100942f08fa.6c11b.jpg
Ronaldo normally wears his with some kind of ankle sock/guard
http://cdn.picapp.com/ftp/Images/d/c/0/5/d8.JPG
Gerrard wears his the traditional way which is featured in PES.

Torres also wears it similar to Ronaldo
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/telegraph/multimedia/archive/01006/gallas_1006473c.jpg
Lastly le sulk wears his higher up his socks.
Accessories
Genrally PES gives a good variation of accessories for players the only things I'd want included are the ability like in 2K9 to wear club writstbands like Joe Cole does for Chelsea.
Equitment
PES has alsways had a good selection of boots but one of the major problems has been that you have 3 or 4 pairs of Predators taking up fours slots when common sense says you have all the Predator colours on one slot freeing up another 3 slots. In terms of boots the following boot manufactuers models
Adidas (Predator, World Cup, F50 & AdiPURE)
Nike (Mercurial Vapor, T90 Laser, Tiempo & Air Legend)
Puma (V.1.08-5.08, Konstruct & King)
Umbro (SX Flare & SX Valor)
Mizuno (Morelia Pro Japan)
Lotto (Zhero Gravity)
Diadorra (Brasil Italy & Pro Line Axler)
Asics (Testimonial, Lethel Testimonial)
Reebok (Instante Pro)
Again these are a few of the boots available but Konamai could have all the styles of the big boys Adidas, Nike & Puma could be given the 11 slots with the different colour schemes all on the same slot. These are the most worn then for some of the other brands you could either assign them one slot for there most popular boot or make their boots & logos creatable in the edit mode.
Again I think for classic players if you had this would give that extra authenticity.
Adidas (World Cup)
Puma (King)
Nike(Earl to Mid 90s Tiempo)
Goakeeper Gloves
There is absolutely no reason why GK gloves are not licensed in the game or that they are not editbale there is nothing more annoying having a GK like Buffon wearing black gloves when he has been wearing all white for the past season.
Adidas
Nike
Puma
Selsport
Umbro
Reusch
Sells
These are the main maunfactuers but Konami could either get licences for the big boys as most keepers wear Nike, Adidas, Puma than Umbro/Sells/Selsport. If Konami had a goalkeeper glove editing the following(strap colour, palm design, top design, top colour and logo) These could be inlcuded to then most of theses manufactuers gloves could be editied into the game.
Less of the gardening/mickey mouse gloves
http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/hh279/raydenvm/000218925.jpg
and more
http://www.4thegame.com/media/00/04/07/petr_cech.jpg
Konami has sinced confirmed this has been sorted and WENB claimed that gloves are licensed.
Player Faces
My only issue I have is not being able to create spot on likenesses is there noe way you can include past players whether as licensed faces or just within the mutlitude of noses, mouths, eyes & eyebrows. Surely that would not be a breach as they are in the game but then concievably any person in the world could be in there if someone has the patience to make them. It seems a real shame to myself and that preset players look awesome but made up one or classic have a wierd look about them.
Player Hair
Can you please do a bit my research into afro type hair because for certain players like Essien the hair is awful you need more black hairstyles including a smaller afro for players like Glen Johnson pre braids.
http://www.topnews.in/light/files/michael-essien2.jpg
http://img.skysports.com/08/08/496x259/GlenJohnson_1144819.jpg
It would be nice if you had and accurate Valderama hairstyle as well as 20-30 historic hairstyles such(I know you have a few) as Maradona's barnet from 1986, Paul Brietner's German afro, Waddles mullet.

And a decent Baggio hairstyle would be nice
I had to include that one those are the best perms ever!! :D
I just thought I'd put all my thoughts into a monster post including my thoughts on other areas of editing
There is no reason why the following could not be editiable
Balls as it would be nice to be able to use NIKE balls when playing the English league but the last time I remember the NIKE ball was only available for the La Liga when it was Licensed. The following balls are used for the following Leagues
Official England League Ball
http://tbn2.google.com/images?q=tbn:Wbqmg2mcu34s2M:ht tp://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j249/ActionMaN_2006/Spurs/PDS005009610.jpg

Official Serie A Ball

Official Europa League Football
http://tbn3.google.com/images?q=tbn:Qm4vt8LFXbrzpM:ht tp://www.acasports.co.uk
Official Champions League Ball
http://www.acasports.co.uk/images/products/tile/adidas-finale-cl.jpg
As you can see these are mainly Nike and Adidas balls but you can also add Mitre who do the Championship & England home internationals.
Why not have more licensed balls i.e just the models and not the fac that they are attributed to a icensed league and also the ability to be able to edits balls to create ones that are not in the game.
You could have your base ball I'd say 4 panel styles like below
Long Panel
http://tbn0.google.com/images?q=tbn:0-5IuVqYxNIEHM:http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3445/3302542219
Classic Panel
http://static.flickr.com/50/163657399_21d6f3a762_o.jpg
Modern Panel
http://www.soccerballworld.com/images/golden_ball.jpg
You then should have the ability to edit the base ball buy colouring panels like below
Or Adding patterns and colours like the two below
http://www.soccerballworld.com/images/WCEtruscoUnico1990.JPG
http://tbn2.google.com/images?q=tbn:_IuO5NH5yNBqRM:ht tp://www.subsidesports.com/uk/images/product/large/NikeT9011HiVisBall0607.gif
These could then be available during the match selection and league selection mode.
As I said in the above post the League Logos should be editable and this should purely be done the same way badges are done. If possible if it could be incorporated into the game so that when playing the EPL all the shirts will display the EPL logo on their shirts like so
http://tbn3.google.com/images?q=tbn:ygIL1_ALJoYWWM:ht tp://images.thesun.co.uk
This should be the same for La Liga, BundisLiga, Seria A and any other league we may wish tyo create.
I would also like to see editable trophies if possibe as it would just mean that we are able to edit the
International Cup trophy
The various league trophies
European Champions Trophy
Americas Trophy
Asia Trophy
Africa Trophy
For instance to create the EPL trophy it would be a case of chosing a base and then handles
Base wise you could have
Trophy(EPL, La Liga, European Championship, Uefa Cup, Champions League, Copa America, )
Vase (The only one I can think of is the F.A vase)
Plate(Budisliga, Ligue 1 )
Sheild(Cahrity Sheild)
Statuette(World Cup, African Nations Cup)
You could then have the choice of adding arms to the trophy which could be moved into place and then the colour of the trophy and maybe and option to add the winning teams colours.
To sum up my entire post why not make the edit mode as open as possible to give each individual player the possibility to edit the various elements of the game to their liking.
I also think that a possible community sharing mode like the one in NBA2K9 that allows other users to log into a database to download created content would be a great way for PES fans to have all their creation stored on one central database.
I would be interested to know if the PS3 edit mode could ever be on Par with PC Editing is there anyway to open it up so we can be as accurate as our PC counterparts?

It's the least I can do as I love PES. There is no reason why we can't have an edit mode as grand as this. Like I said it then means we can create a games as we see fit plus if you added the community online aspect it's ius then an easily accesible why for people to share their creations online. :D

I think the main problem is, Konami has always created games for the Arcade and Consoles and as such is stuck in the old ways of doing things. They still make the game with the restrictions of the old consoles especially in the area of storage of settings etc. They still seem to be stuck with thinking that all the storage space should fit on a memory stick with about 256Mb of memory, instead of using the Hard Drive space that the PC/PS3/X-360 have.
Until they get out of that mindset i'm sure PES will still have these restrictions unfortunately.

i never expected this thread to pick up, to be honest i thought i was the only person that cares about changing players boots and so on . i didnt know they had already meantioned that you can have untucked shirts, has it been confirmed, in conclusion i just want more boots and more kit detail in edit mode :D
Your not alone, I do the same, every premier league player has edited boots, and rangers in fact, nearly every player in my game has edited boots.
I wouldnt mind the same boots eg. nike, adidas and puma, but the latest one if you get what im saying eg. for nike the latest vapors, but more selection in colours/ create your own colours.

Yeah. If I'm not mistaken, the current contract for FIFA to have the Premier-ship exclusive license will end in 2010.
So does that mean the premier league will let konami and ea share the rights for licensing, what do you think?

Torres now.
http://cdn.picapp.com/ftp/Images/8/1/0/f/PicImg_Real_Madrid_v_c8f8.JPG
Kit Options
One of the best options introduced was the untucked or tucked shirts and the socks low sock high as there are many players that wear their kit in specific ways and in some ways it emphisies the players personality on the pitch.

No, No- once a blue always a blue, thinking about going to man city vs barcelona as I just went there on holiday, and visited the nou camp.
I was just wondering if Fifas Premier League runs out after 2010, then Konami might have a chance of getting in there ad nicking the license. A dream I suppose lol, awell.
What do you think of my ideas that I set to Konami in a e-mail.

I think we will hear about the edit mode/ licensing at gamescom, I found this its probably old, but maybe not.
Licensing
*In addition to the UEFA Champions League license, Konami has secured the rights to the UEFA Europa League, the competition that was formerly known as the UEFA Cup.
*As we know, Konami can only license at most two English Premier League sides due to the exclusivity agreement EA has with it's FIFA series. The two English teams this year are said to be Liverpool FC and Manchester United.
*French, Spanish and Italian leagues return and are fully licensed, and there is strong rumour that this year the German League will be fully licensed, although possibly with the league not having the Bundesliga name. This can presumably be edited in the game's Edit Mode, so this would mean four fully licensed leagues in the game.
*All teams that have qualified for either this year's UEFA Champions League, or the UEFA Europa Cup, are also fully licensed.
The cover stars who will appear on the game's box are Messi, and Liverpool's Fernando Torres.
If this is old I'm sorry.

Yea me to, when I see Ferdinand wearing F-50s for eg. I have to change it to Nike Total 90's, but when I got 09 and seen that no transfers were done I had to waste my time updating transfers. Robinho to City etc.

Tattoos would be cool- if you scored a last minute winner and you could take your shirt off.
I like to get the kits next to perfect, mainly Premier League kits, talking of kits have you see the new Getafe shirt (Burger King).

Boot Creator is ament to be back, hopefully just changing the colour of the official boots, not the dopey made up boots in PES 2008 cuz those boots are shit.
Lol, you can edit the shorts and socks in the good old edit mode, just by puting the outline 2 strips then the inner stripe to make the adidas 3 stripe design, thats the editing I like not by .png's and I only have a xbox anyway so I cant do it. But I probably wouldnt do it anyway but if it was added to xbox many people would like that but personally not me.

We all thought that with Arsenal and Chelsea in PES2009 with the Champions League mode but they weren't. Expect North East London, West London White, West Midlands Village and Merseyside Blue in there. Unless they have 2 versions of each Europa League team that is...
shankly is god

ONLY LIVERPOOL (deservedly) and man u are licensed
aston villa everton etc would only be licensed in europa league mode only....
i guess nobody cares about the psp version but without a doubt, its the one who needs a BIG edit mode the most.In the name of all psp users,im asking for REAL...yes i said REAL branded boots. Its ugly and boring to play against players with plain black boots with no brand that you cant even edit.KONAMI give psp users some real boots please!!! stadiums and balls too.we should also be able to edit kits.why cant we put wristbands and gloves at the same time? just look at Adebayor and you'll see what i mean.

First of all lets discuss Kits. Like in PES 2009, you have 81 different templates with 4 different layers. While its the same, Konami have updated the templates to accommodate 09/10 designs. So, the new umbro (Everton) and puma designs (Tottenham Hotspur) are easily made.
Another good thing is that the ‘home made’ kits really hold up against the licensed ones. I managed to make the Everton kits for example, and they look as good as the real thing.
Staying with teams, there is now the possibility to have 8 different chants per team! 5 from normal, gameplay moments AND 3 for specific occasions - After you score, taking set-pieces, and after a victory.
Onto player editing. You now, as you are aware of I’m sure, are able to untuck and tuck in shirts. There’s also the return of 4 dribbling animations, the same as the PS2 ones with the next-gen sheen. Unfortunately, you still can’t edit facial hair on players already in the game.
Onto boots.
Right now the boots in the game are as follows:
Adidas Predator Swerve X-TRX SG White
Adidas Predator Swerve X-TRX SG Black
F50 Tunit Blue
Adidas Adipure Black
Nike CTR360 Maestri FG Black/Red
Mecurial Vapor Superfly Orion Blue
T90 Laser Silver/Black/Red
Tiempo Legend FG White/ Blue
Puma V1.08 White/Blue
Puma V-konstruct III White/Blue
Umbro Speciali Black
Then you have 13 slots of random boots, giving us a total of 24 boots. No editable boots then, but I’m very confident the 13 slots will represent them.
Thats all I have right now. Seeing as the code is 75% complete, I’m sure there will be a few more additions to edit mode before release."

Ahh well. I hadn't read it in this thread so thought I'd drop it.
I'm currently getting all the images ready for 09/10 kits now, testing them on (PS3) PES2009 right this second. I've put a lot of work into this and created everything from scratch, finding my own resources.
Will be posting a thread with all the .PNG images displayed for each kit (home, away, gk home +away) so everyone can just 'Save As' and add them to their current Saved Game and not have to worry about changing their OF.
There will be the .rar for the whole collection too. Only got a few more to do now, can't wait to get it finished ;-)

that's just the iceberg. From ones I've seen, they aren't as accurate as mine. Everything from the emblem colour fill to proportion of emblem size to sponsor.
Sure we could join forces like? I've only got 2 more refinements 2 make and then fully complete the EPL.
Some more creative ones that I've tested and look amazing. Just wanted to really have continuity of quality and make the game look it's best.

According to people in winningelevenblog forums the fake team names are as follows:
Alashergokh F.C. (fake name) - CSKA
Logo is a crest with different colours on each side. Left is Pink with horizontal purple lines, with a lion (?) figure over it. The right it is a grey background with big dark blue letters saying 'FC'
All players from Russia
GK - Akhshilov
CB - Ljabocheva
CMF - Sveljanov
CF - Cherkepov
F.C. Kolugavinsk (fake name) - FC Krylia Sovetov (or Dynamo Moscow?)
Logo is Yellow crest with a picture of club (like what you get on a pack of cards)
all players from Russia
GK - Kashnyolov
CB - Shkipets
CMF - Krashamov
CF - Vlatokov
F.K. Ljemorac (fake name) - FC Amkar Perm
Logo is circular, with centre blue with orange eagle design, and white border
all players from Russia
GK - Cuiberdgi
CB - Jerdkov
DMF - Maytkova
CF - Zinovyev
PFC Ryagzhilograd (fake name) - FC Rubin Kazan
Funky logo. Its square with a thin green vertical line on the left. The centre is Orange, with a green character (looks like soldier toy?) holding a white ball.
All players from Russia
GK Kosaryopin
CB Mezhlenski
DMF - Petranovsk
CF Tyorkhachug
A.S. Punoichongaux (fake name) - Zurich
Logo is a crest with light grey background with 5 headed sea monster(?) in orange, with white coloured ball in the centre of it. The top says 1897
All players from Switzerland
GK - Rechard
CB - Thomodin
DMF - Montsoilai
CF - Augslingen
MFK Trnolevoce (fake name) - Galatasaray S.K.
Logo is triangle looking crest, with left side baby blue, and right side darker blue. There is a tool ( I think hammer?) in orange running through the centre separating the colours.
All players from Turkey
GK - Oznulhan
CB - Aliadzade
DMF - Somilmaz
CF - Erdotan
Not too sure this is true, could be, just thought I would post this for all the wonderers like myself.
Sorry everyone just read on and its not Galatasary its Trabzonspor
If that is true looks like Bundesliga teams aren't in:(.

if the game don't have rights for most of leagues and teams
then the edit mode should be extended with more options
especially the leagues and teams
we should edit the leagues description with logos
that ain't too much either there should be possibility
to customize the team kit from different angles
for example the arms area for the badges leagues such as barclays England League :p
the back side, shorts along with legs area for socks
finally and not lately when we try to save the kit data we should save the whole kit
data instead.

Sounds like the PES6 (PC/PS2) kit edit mode, which isn't a bad thing ;)
One thing I'd like to see is Other Teams B being empty from the start, with a icon at the top saying "Create Team". Once you press the icon you get the normal Edit team menu allowing you to change kit/stadium etc. Then once you save your team it appears in Other Teams B below the Create Team icon, allowing you to create as many custom teams as your hard drive space allows.

Thats funny though I always edit my posts instead of making a new one. But I dont know I post the same thing twice.
Mods must be out to get me.:ninja:

If you accidentally make the same post twice, you can edit the second one and write something like "please delete this post". The mods will let you off and you'll get away without getting a yellow card.

"WENB Edit Mode News
In other words, the edit mode pretty much remains the same, with some limitations that the PS2 didn't have... that's so not cool.
PESFan: "There’s also the return of 4 dribbling animations, the same as the PS2 ones with the next-gen sheen"
Who are they kidding, the "4 dribbling animations" have been in the game since PES08. PESFan are full of shite, and clearly do not take their fans seriously.
I would be thrilled if Konami actually did something NEW,
Like for example, divide movement into 5 types of Lower Body Movement and 5 types of Upper Body Movements. So that we can have a potential 25 variations in movements, instead of just 5 variations.
Or if not, Konami could have simply expanded on the old 4 dribbling animations... maybe add some additional 3 dribbling animations.
Now that would be something news-worthy. But so far, the PS3 edit mode sounds like more of the same. It's not even disappointing anymore.
PESFan: "Onto player editing. You now, as you are aware of I’m sure, are able to untuck and tuck in shirts. Unfortunately, you still can’t edit facial hair on players already in the game."
So, we get something we already had back in the PS2 versions -but- we cannot even edit facial hair on players already in the game. That's great... even more so when we consider that Konami have also removed the old "preset faces".
Player Editing has gone to shit since going Next Gen. Now, the only viable option when creating players is with the printed faces or built faces, faces that always end up looking bad and extremely generic.
And what about the old Special Hairstyles, were you could find Classic Hairstyles such as Baggio's trademark ponytail and Valderrama's trademark afro, etc, etc.
I think it's unexplainable, even shocking, that the PS3 games don't have all this old features. And in fact have less features, and have even replaced useful "old" features with useless "new" ones.
Bottom Line is, that for every improvement -they- remove some older features. In other words, it's not really an improvement.

Yeh PESFAN and WENB are a big joke. They are in KONAMIS pocket...
The only people you should trust is SUFF ( who is from WENB but he very honest ) and CANNIGIA.
Both have siad the game is very good now. Coming from those two, thats a huge plus.
About the edit mode: I thought PES2009 had very solid edit mode.
I'm all about gameplay though, so everything else ( CL, EL, EDIT MODE, ONLINE, etc. ) is a huge bonus for me.

Yeah, but I mainly use the Edit Mode to create players... and in that particular area PES09 failed, no preset faces, you cannot change facial hair on faces already in the game, no special hairstyles, etc, etc.
Perhaps the Kit editor was good enough, but I cannot understand why the Face editor was actually better in the PS2 games.
It's one of the first things I do, first day I play 2 to 3 hours of the game, perhaps even more... Second day, I go to the editing mode and start looking for Faces and Hairstyles, so that I can create accurate-looking versions of my all-time favorite players.
Maradona, Pele, George Best, Johan Cruyff, Valderrama, etc, etc. I mostly try to play as my all-time XI... but I don't like to play with generic-looking players.
The thing that I have always liked the most about PES are the Player Likenesses, so naturally, I like to play as my favorite players. So the face editor is more than just a "bonus" for me.

Has anyone played UFC where you can add sponsors to your shorts in a certain location and size? Think that would be great for PES shorts so we could add emblem and manufacturer to them. All we need is 2 boxes really and the number!

I just want to add I think it is a bit poo that in this age with the capacity the console hard drives have that the edit mode does not allow us to make any kit we wnat 100% accuratley. I will sitll buy Pro Evo if it plays well but I will be so disappointed if we have no editable gk gloves
Konami really need to take the edit mode to a next gen level as mentioned earlier the four stylesa of running movement have been present since PES 4 you think they would have added another 10 on top of that or maybe done some of the suggestions other players have about editing the movement.
Mods coulds you please move this into the Konami feedback zone I would be eternally greatful.
Cheers

100% Agree with movements! They need to sort their act out with this.
Goalkeeper gloves are (from what I've heard licensed) but not sure whether we can select for each keeper. That would would be sweet though.
Editable GKG and Boots. Not asking much are we?!
