The new season is only a few weeks away so I've decided to start the thread for the PESGaming Fantasy League for 2009/10.

POST YOUR TEAM NAME IN HERE ONCE YOU'VE JOINED AS YOU WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE LEAGUE IF YOU DON'T.

The game rules are the same as last season so anyone who participated last season will know what they're doing. Anyone who didn't participate last season can go here to see the rules and scoring etc. : http://fantasy.premierleague.com/M/rules.mc

There are a few improvements to the website from last season though, which can be found here: http://fantasy.premierleague.com/M/new.mc

The "use your free transfer next gameweek" sounds like a useful addition.

Don't need to make a free transfer or forget one week? If you don't use your free transfer in a Gameweek then it will carry over to the next Gameweek.

The unused transfer will only be carried over for one Gameweek though, the wildcard will still be the only way to change your team completely at no cost once a season.

from what i see, jenas at 6.5 is a bargain i think. the only problem is if fit, will he be a first teamer for spurs ? they already have modric and palacios. I might swap him for danny murphy who is also 6.5. Murphy also takes a few free kicks and is their penalty taker.... are we aloud to talk about this sorta stuff yeh ?

Just created my team, ready for the upcoming season.

Mullet - of course you can talk about players, but giving away what you consider to be bargain buys isn't something we all practice!

:lol: To be honest, I didn't see the final league table last year which is the reason why I haven't added a roll of honour. I'm sure you probably won it though.

The only other one I do is The Sun's Dream Team, but you have to pay a minimum of £5 to enter. I once did the AOL FL and did pretty well. I finished just outside the 1,000th spot.

I just got my Al-Jazeera subscription, and this year they have gotten the English and Champions League rights. :happy:

I'm just mentioning that because i have done pretty well in the past without the added help of watching mid-table teams in action, so i think i should be able to make wiser substitutions this year, not them blind guesses i used to go for, based on form or my uncanny sixth sense.

So I just checked the tables, im 10th but 4 of my 11 havent played yet so theres still a few points to pick up. Anyone who chose Fabregas got a real boost after today, 2 goals and an assist.

Got 18 points today, I'm 28th out of the 31.:lol:

But I've six players in my starting line-up playing tomorrow; Rio & Carrick, Carragher & Kuyt, Modric & captain Keano.

Why I started Hart over Sorensen, I don't know :faceplm:

Won't let me view the league table, it says my rank is 9 though so I take it that's what my league position is! lol

Pretty average start for me. Should've started Eduardo over Ebanks-Blake, and wasted my captaincy on Carvalho. I'll be back.............

You'd think they might've foreseen these busy times and sorted out their carrying capacity.

Either way, pretty poor first week for me.

This has become my second fantasy priority, to be honest. We run a work league on http://www.fantasyleague.com which is the big 'un. Had a great start on there.

Worst gameweek ever because of the European competitions, most of my team didn't play. Now my friends are taking the piss out of me, I'm ashamed.
