They seem to be pretty impressed with it! Says it's looking superb and is still super fun. It does say it's slowed the pace down but only a bit. Just hope it's not 100mph like PES 2009.

Sounds like Masters League is shaping up really nicely :)

Eurogamer descibes PES 2010:

It really isn't.

PES5 was a slow melodic team build up game, with PES6 becoming just a touch faster paced but still representing real-life team play. PES 2008 and 2009 then shot up to an arcadey approach, both way too fast, and had an emphasis on dribbling rather than realistic football. Strange how both were considered Konami's worst games huh?

To throw a dagger in the works. IGN rated PES 2008 something like 8.2 or 9.2 can't remember so after that I'm not believing a word they're saying. However, I'm not going to let that stop me from looking forward to a game that will be amazing.

IGN where quite hard on pes2009 and gave it a score i certainly felt it deserved which was 8.2 and they picked up on its faults and prefered fif09.

There normally pretty fair they know there stuff and are pretty unbiased its eurogamer i worry about they have a fifa preference and are overly critical.

I'm taking all these previews with a pinch of salt at the min cos you never know if a game is great until you play it yourself. Many people rave about how great and perfect Fifa 2009 is but I've got both Fifa and PES this year. I've spent about 30 hours on Fifa and over 100 on PES. Says it all really. Fifa is a good game and a massive improvement on previous versions but it's still got just as many faults as PES.

Can't wait to get my hands on PES 2010 though!! :w00t

I been looking at the Screens on pes editing blogg...and the master league is looking amazing its looking like its deeper than just on the pitch action.... also german team is looking nice and other aspects

it does look like they have really made an effort with this one, but they had to really or a lot of people might have crossed that fifa divide, myself included.

The response time is slow and you can feel the delay when you are trying to make cuts or shift out a player. I hope when they say they have slowed down the pace of the game they mean the overall pace and not the response time/delay.

Apparantly in PES there is a delayed reaction time, which if it is, is alot of bollocks:realmad:

PES2009 got a 7.2 .....which makes their playtest ( and indication of switching back over to PES ) that much sweeter...

The XBOX 360 version is flawless and fluid ( according to WENB ). The PS3 is not optimized yet.

The versions will be identical.

PES6 on xbox 360 had great gameplay.

Everything else tho....barebones

I never have problem with anyone really. Its a game. And this is a forum. It isnt real life so what happens here is of no importance in that regard.

I come on here only because of my love for the sport and the enjoyment I ( used to ) get from playing PES.

Now I hope we can help improve the game as a community.

Used to enjoy it until I realized that PES2008 and PES2009 should have been so much more on these 'next gen' contraptions.

PES2010 will be an immensely fun game, that's almost a given. I am just happy that its back on the right track and more.

I am not really thinking this will be a megatron game, but more of a stepping stone for future PES games. But I think this will be a great stepping stone.

I am kinda disappointed that PES hasnt introduced the Free Roam area, but sure who needs this when the game loads up while you are doing you teams up (confirmed, kinda).

PES2010 could be on par with FIFA10 ( this might be the case with critics ). But to me, it has already exceeded it.

I cannot stress how bored I get by playing FIFA09. I liked it a lot for the first 2 weeks I had it but afterwards its just unplayable for me. Even PES2009 was the more fun of the two for me ( and PES2009 is nowhere near what a real PES title should be like )

I think there is already one?? Called Gamescom Started. Cant wait to see videos hopefully of gameplay, and maybe some more screen shots, and a list of all the licensed teams/ unlicensed teams.
