02-06-2003, 09:06
Yeah i play on extreme, personally any1 who playz below Hard or **** is a bit crud

Good players for Extreme who are mostly easy to buy are

Rustu (Tur)
Van Der Saar (Hol)

Edilson (Bra)
West (Nig)

Mostovoi (Rus)
Babangida (Nig)
Toefting (Den)
Denilson (Bra)
Djorkaeff (Fra)

Rebrov (Ukr)
Mpenza (Bel)
Olisadebe (Pol)
Sand (Den)

And Agahowa is known to be good but I haven't tried him yet.

And you can also be cheeky and buy Classics if you want.
The best dealing I did was to buy Maradona for free and sell him to Barcelona for 12,000 points.
I bought Rivaldo and Nedved after that I think.

Eventually when you can, go for Shevchenko because he is the KING!
(Guess who I voted for...)

Thankz 4 the list of playerz

Shevchenko is the best player in the world even though i am a liverpool fan

No worries.

Maybe someone else can help out with options for defenders.
Most African defenders are good.
I go for height with pace.

In today's paper, apparently Del Piero said that even when van Nistelrooy farts, he scores!
I like to use Ruud with Shevchenko.

that iz how i play wif rudd & shev up front

in mi old team

03-06-2003, 16:01
Olisadebe is by far the best player up front for free. He is well fast and has also got the finishing to go with it. He is also probably worth buying even with shevchenko and van nistelrooy, i wud put him in there above van nistelrooy!!

try asprilla - columbia
benitez - paraguay (subs bench)
fonseca - costa rica
simao - Portugal (subs bench)
they're all good forwards or midfielders
they work well good for me.

05-06-2003, 19:27
I found Olisadebe to be a moody git who wouldn't join my team till I was top of Div 1.
Mpenza was one of my first players and is always reliable.

05-06-2003, 21:40
Yeah, Mpenza together with Sand is a good couple if you only use 2 forwards.

05-06-2003, 22:46
Rebrov is worth trying as he can play OMF too.

08-06-2003, 09:01
DF - Ulises, Suarez and Joseph Yobo. I think Suarez also plays DMF?

if you want a cheap, top quality defender to buy early on in the game, definately check out Gamarra who plays for Paraguay and due to the fact that the rosters are so out of date he is still a free agent and doesn't play for inter. His defence attribute is 94!!!

Some good players on the flanks for free:

De la Cruz (ECUADOR) - Fast, skillful and versatile left-footer.

Alvarenga (PARAGUAY) - Better than the stats suggest.

Rudonja (SLOVENIA) - Quick, can play up front also.

Asamoah (GERMANY) - One of the best in the game my opinion.

The reason that Schalke 04 should be in the game. ;)

Roberto Palacios from Peru is decent as an attacking midfielder. Good crosser, good passer, good dribbler - can't ask for much more.

Most of the players have been mentioned already. Surprisingly enough, Landon Donovan (USA) is an extremely handy finisher - he seems to play way beyond his stats. My mate uses him, and he's very good, from what I've seen.

I quite like Joaquin (Spain) and there should be some good Turkish players freely available eg. Hasan Sas, Ilhan Mansiz. And I bought Dwight Yorke from the freelance column before selling him to Real Madrid for a tidy profit!

Hasan Sas plays for Galatasaray. He is indeed a decent player, though. I remember looking at Ilhan Mansiz and thinking he was poor. Might play better than his stats, though.

Nakata from Japan is a great free transfer

13-06-2003, 21:59
Isn't that Japan Nakata not so good?
Nakata from Parma is real but pricey.

the best starting 11 and subs made up of free agent players. most of these will join your team in D3 (even in extreme mode).

GK - Van Der Sar (holland)
CB - Suarez (mexico)
CB - Gamarra (paraguay)
RB - Ulises (Equador)
LB - Abdullah (Turkey)
DMF - Guardiola (spain)
RMF - Babangida (nigeria)
LMF - Fadiga (Senegal)
OMF - Juninho Paulista (brazil)
CF - Rebrov (ukraine)
CF - Edilson (brazil)

GK - Rustu (turkey)
CB - Onopko (Russia)
LMF - Denilson (brazil)
CF - Olisadebe (poland)
CF - Emile Mpenza (belgium)
DMF - Mostovoi (russia)

if you get these players you should find extreme mode a piece of cake.

If you are like me and play with a big man up front. I suggest being either Sand (Den) Kecavovic (Yug) or Morales (Uru) all are quite tall with Heading and Jumping in the high 80's or 90's. If you get a good crosser ( I usually buy Dyer although he's quite expensive) they can usually head home 1 or 2 a game.

25-06-2003, 16:04
If you win that many headers, you must be good with crosses.
Please share with us how you do them.
Any special techniques?
Or just a case of Bending it like Beckham?

25-06-2003, 16:11
I found that the more time the winger has to get it in, the better the cross. I usually stick Dyer on the right of midfield, set his position so he's almost in line with the strikers. This gets him in to some good positions especially if you attack the defence with the right back, or switch sides really fast.

25-06-2003, 16:14
And what type of crosses do you think work best?
Which way does the crosser face?

25-06-2003, 16:19
Usually use 0 (L1 + 0 doesnt work for me) , putting the big man at the far post, with the crosser at a diagonal towards goal. sometimes mix in a few 00's for good measure

Can someone give an update to this for PES2011.

Who are the best free agent players?
I didn't see many free agents so far only in my second season though.
