does anyone knows anything about it?

At a guess they would have to wait till they have WE7 in their hands before being able to do anything at all.

Konami have confirmed WE7 will be on a cd, so...fingers crossed for some good patches! I wonder how long itl be till the first patch is released...?

It would just be a translation patch though i would think.

Would you wait for a good patch with kits and stuff or jump for the first English one?

Well, id get both...you?

can a x-port v2 file containing we6 fe data with proper kits, that can be download off evo web work for a pes2 file.

Zygalski

For the tenth time, kits and things are only added using patches, not option files. These need to be burned onto CDs.

WE6:FE and PES2 option files are not compatible with each other.
There are no patches for PES2. Hence no kits.

That is why a lot of people play WE6:FE, to get the patch data (added to the fact it is a better game).

Some people don't read around. Why did we make the sticky, if you are new to patching... Z?!

Zygalski

Problem is there are stickys here and in the general section and people don't check and ask in both.
We shall see what happens.

Yeah, i was gonna say to hitman 2 put the patching one in the editing section, would make sense?

Zygalski

It would but wouldn't stop people still asking in the general section.
Maybe one ultimate sticky for everything in each would work.

Yup, good idea.

How are the chances, that WE7 is going to be patched? I think there won´t be any huge differences between WE7 and PES3, other than PES2 compared to WE6:FE, and I heard or read rumours, that PES3 will be on CD, so there are no arguments why patch WE7 and not PES3.

I think PES3 needs to be in DVD format due to the multiple languages, (taking them out is how we burn to cd format). I hope PES3 will be like WE7, but new news is filtering through of "key changes", whether these are improvements or enhancements is still unknown...they could be the good old "catering for the European market" changes made to produce PES2 like ;)

The other thing is the 50hz frame rate, why don't they make the PES series have a 60hz option, anyone know?

Major patchers also seem to favour the WE series could just be Kabira's personality :D, but there are some patching other ones, Clever Peter for instance.

I HAVE THE SOLUTION FOR ALL UK GAMERS WHO WANT TO PLAY WINNING ELEVEN 6 FINAL EDITION WITH THE PATCHES. WHILST SURFING THE INTERNET CASUALLY, I CAME ACROSS A PIECE OF EQUIPMENT CALLED 'PS2 SLIDE CARD' THIS ALLOWS YOUR PS2 TO PLAY:

- PS2 CD-R backups PAL or NTSC
- PS2 DVD-R backups PAL or NTSC
- PS2 Original import games
- PS2 EA games patched or unpatched, it makes no difference
- & It's Compatible with every PS2 version (V1 -V8)

SO WINNING ELEVEN CAN BE BOUGHT AND PLAYED AS AN ORIGINAL IMPORT. OR IT CAN BE PATCHED AND PLAYED WITHOUT NO PROBLEM. CHECK OUT THE WEBSITE: http://www.modchip.com/ps2/slidecard.htm
YOU SHALL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. YOUR PS2 WILL NOT HAVE TO BE OPENED OR INTERNALLY EDITED MEANING WARRANTY STAYS IN TACT. YESSSSSSSSS!

Thanks for the info.
But there's no need to shout!

Has anyone tried using one of these?
I think most people go for flip top lid or knife trick.
Annoying thing is it still needs a boot disk.

Does that mean I can play my patched WE6:FE (or WE7 in some weeks) without any problems, like I would have a Flip Top Lid or a Chip. Is that 100% sure.

ive got a flip top lid, and it really isnt annoying usin the swap disks. I duno, why people will risk their whole PS2 by chipping it, wen u can get a flip top lid which works perfectly and is easy to fit??

Zygalski

It's not a risk if you buy a new pre-chipped PS2 which is guaranteed.

Can I ask how long the boot disk proces takes from when you turn on the PS2 to when the game disk starts to load?

larsson, I'm not sure what you mean.
Are you asking if the slide card is the best method?

It'd be nice if a few more people here who use different methods could tell us what they use.

---------------

I checked out the slide card video.
They tried a little to hard to make it look like the trailer to the matrix.

I don't think forcing the PS2 tray to close like that can be very good for it.
Flip top lid may be preferable from what I saw in the vid.

Z: you put the boot disk in, then turn on the PS2, wait about....30 secs, then put CD-R in an ur away.

I wanted to know whether there gonna be any problems with playing WE6:FE, WE7 with the slide card or not. Is it as good as a chip or are there any downsides. To your second point I think it doesn't matter, although it looks a little unconventional. But I'm closing my CD-Rom drive like that for a few months now and it still works
