im actually fucking disgusted fifa has its OWN section on a fucking PRO EVO fansite
what the fuck ? seriously.. why has this been allowed ? if i want to talk about fifa i'm sure if i typed "fifa forum" into google, a few forums would appear.
I joined this place as i thought it was a home for pes. i didn't mind the fifa thread, i expected it as pes has no other bitter rival, but actually giving fifa its own section has angered me.
can't you fifa fuckers talk about fifa shite on msn or in the Fifa thread ?
i feel betrayed. Its like going on a celtic forum and theres a section just for ranger's fans to go and talk nice things about their team

i know i'll be heavily outnumbered as the admins play fifa, but what about the rest ? how do you feel ?

Loads of members are loving FIFA 10, personally I don't see anything wrong with it, it's not like a couple people here have bought FIFA this year.
If you don't like FIFA, then stay out of this section.

Surely the GAMING part would suggest that this is not just a PES site but also a general gaming site. GTA IV got its own section due to its popularity, same thing with Fifa 10. Who knows, maybe CoD: MW2 will get its own section too?
I really don't see what the problem with having a sub-forum for Fifa 10 is. I'd see where you are coming from if it had a whole forum to itself but it doesn't; it has a sub-forum within other gaming.
This is surly just your first reaction to this. Please do take some time to think about it as I’m sure you will come to terms with the situation as I have seen how reasonable you are when discussing other matters.
I do not play FIFA because I don’t like it, I am a PES fan. I do understand how people have moved or how some people like one and dislike the other as I’m sure you understand it too.
I take pride at coming to this forum knowing that it is strong enough to hold a section for the hated game of FIFA where people who like that game can also share ideas and comments about it. I believe that with this, the forum can only grow in stature as new ideas from different worlds are clashed and fusion together.
Most probably nothing bad will come out from this addition because no one is forced to join the section and its discussions. The PES section is still a lot stronger and in my opinion way more interesting. I find it very rewarding to see that our administrators have found some space and are willing to share it with the rebel scum.
Yeah, because people never talk about stuff that isn't PES related here...

anytime i click "show new posts " ill see fifa 10. This section Will become more popular than the pes ones
fifa thread = more than enough to talk about it.
If only people didn't treat it as some sort of war all the time. It's tedious.

pes vs fifa is a war though..
5 years ago it would have been sacrilege to even mention FIFA but times have changed. It's no coincidence that more and more old school ISS/Pro Evo players are now starting to play FIFA. As mentioned, it's a sub forum and if you have no interest in it then just don't venture into threads in it. There's always PESFan if you feel so strongly against FIFA.
When mentioned in the admin thread that this would be made my first reaction was mildly like yours, Mullet. But this site is still dedicated to Pro Evo and unless they stop making the game entirely it will continue to be so.
David Rutter has openly said he likes and sometimes plays PES. If the producers aren't treating it like a war, why should I?
I mean, sure, both want to make the better game, but the gamers take it way too seriously I think.

Considering the fact that the vast majority of new members rarely venture out of the PES sections, I can't see this happening somehow...

Maybe if the PES developers still made a decent football game most of us FIFA players would have stuck with it and not turned to a - shock horror - better football game. That's the main reason why you wouldn't have seen a sub-forum for FIFA two years ago, let alone five.

Trevi - i did take a few mins to chill. thought we're all mature and it should be no big deal, but then i got even more angered. You shoulda seen my original question, had terms like Failed Abortion in but i am reasonable, so i asked normally
Miggy - despite not buying pro this year i like how you can at least admit it felt off dedicating an entire ( sub ) section to fifa
I can't mind having convos with so many mods/admins at the same time. Yous were expecting this reaction imo

I don't really care about the PES or FIFA forums, but there's a lot people that play FIFA and they usually play together online so this forum would be useful for that.
There are a lot of people that also play FIFA on this site and a lot of us think that Cech is a good goalkeeper, so you're going to have to learn to accept different opinions mullet.

i think the timing has pissed me off aswel. Usually the build up to PES starts now, and seeing fifa in the new posts will always make me wanna click in and leave abuse.
To be honest, Mullet, I'd much rather discuss FIFA with the guys here than go anywhere near the FIFA forum. I have an account there, but the reason I never post (unless I need to find something out and can't get help anywhere else) there is because it's full of retards.

Well, no. Because there's guys who run club games on both 360 and PS3. Plus, quite a few of us have MM diaries running too. One thread wasn't enough, and it's tidier to be in its own section than to have multiple FIFA threads in Other Gaming.

Mullet, you're getting a booking for persistent swearing and your attitude in this thread to admins and mods alike.
I suggested it, Original? revealed he'd been thinking about it and the only admin/mod to suggest any sort of opposition was Miggy so as I said I'd create it the following day and Original? saw my post, he created it overnight to save me the trouble.
You look at the main forum page and you'll see four or five huge PES sections. Look at the blog, its pure PES. Within the small Other Gaming section is a FIFA 10 section. Is that a problem? No.
Its one thing to open a thread saying you're unhappy about a FIFA 10 section but your use of language and general attitude are in no way acceptable in my eyes. The PES side of this site is doing better than it has in years and the work of the bloggers is spectacular. Even some of them enjoy FIFA and why shouldn't they?

Do you want a ban? I'm not a PES lover or a FIFA lover. I'm a 27-year-old with a job and a life who enjoys football and likes football games. FIFA 10 is a good game so I play it. If PES 2010 is good, I'll play that too.

I doubt any FIFA fans are going to sign up for a sub-forum that is just FIFA 10 and nothing else. Anyone with sense would realise that the FIFA forum here has been allowed for some of the current members to discuss what is a good game (don't deny it, if PES fans are migrating to, or at least enjoying, FIFA, then it must be good, right?), and not so that every FIFA fan can join up and go crazy about it.
I think we can all agree that a simple FIFA 10 sub-forum isn't specific enough to house an onslaught of every type of FIFA10 discussion that is going on, or pull in an entirely different crowd.
I can assure you that the main use this sub-forum will get is current members discussing the game, and organising online play.

David rutter and Gary Patterson are old skool PES players, they despised the fifa games of old and have openly stated that PES was THE football game back in the day. It kind of explains how fifa is playing more and more like the PES of old. They arent some fifa fanboys, they worked on championship manager and LMA manager and then got assisgned to fifa to take the series in another direction.
Its their understanding of what made PES the game back in the day that has contributed to what fifa is now.
I don't see a problem with Don hit it on the head, i've grown up maybe if this was 10 years back i'd be complaining. PES is great for 1v1 arcade style with mates non stop action. Fifa is like an actual footy match it flows too well.
After reading through the whole thread, I have come to this conclusion:
Number 1: Nobody is forcing you to view/participate in this section.
Number 2: If you wish to be taken seriously, type properly.
Number 3: Because of the amount of people who aren't buying PES this year (including myself), if there wasn't already a FIFA section I certainly would have requested one.
Stop being so pathetically righteous and accept the fact that your opinion doesn't reflect the views of everyone else. Just my two cents.
I think a Fifa sub section is fine.

Why is there a football forum of a PES site? Because there's a strong correlation between people liking PES and football. There's an increasingly strong correlation between people liking both PES and Fifa, that's why there's a Fifa sub-section.No-one here should have any allegiance to PES or Fifa, but each year decide which game they prefer playing. This year a vast number of former PES players are deciding to play Fifa, an even larger number are playing both.
It's relatively simple, yet with your track record I'm not surprised you can't comprehend this. You're clearly very upset and need time to cool off.
