I'm back with a new option file for PES 2010!!!

Ladies and gents, it's time to begin your Master Leagues...
This file has been updated to be compatible with Konami's latest update (1.4). You will need to update your game in order to use it. I will leave a link for my previous version in case you are not able to update (see bottom)

This is a standalone option file for the PC version of PES 2010 and does not require any other software to work such as kitserver. I am constantly working on this file to try and make it as good as possible. The current version includes...

+ All English league kits done
+ All La Liga kits done
+ 18 Championship teams created for a complete ML experience
+ Bayern Munich, VfB Stuttgart, Vfl Wolfsburg, Werder Bremen, in Teams A
+ Missing Champions League teams created in Teams A (Debrecini, Maccabi Haifa, CSKA Moscow, FC Rubin Kazan, FC Zurich, + correct squad and kits for Steaua Bucharest)
+ Algeria and New Zealand created
+ Kits for World Cup teams
+ All correct team names
+ All correct emblems
+ All transfers done and many missing players created (including January transfer window)
+ National team players now have correct names
+ Unlicensed international teams have updated kits (not yet with sponsors)

This will be updated to my usual high standard during the week, but at the moment the current version includes...

+ All correct team names
+ All correct emblems
+ Well known national team players now have correct names
+ All English league kits done (except some goalkeepers)

As far as I know, Konami will release an update soon correcting some of the missing players/transfers. Once this is done, I will finish whatever they miss, but I didn't think it was worth me doing it now if they are simply going to fix it soon (it depends how soon though)

Cheers Sammy. I have a question, is it possible to patch a fix for this: allow another player to be able to move the joypad across to control the CPU team in Champions League etc? This option has been removed from the PS3 versions of PES, and me and my mates are desperate for it's return! Is it possible for it to be patched on the PC version? I'm not asking you to do it :), I'd like to know if it's possible to?

Sammy, can you post, or make available otherwise, some instruction on what you do to create these option files? I used your option files for PES 2009, and I have to say they are amazing. I am very interested in doing this myself, but don't really know where to start.

Some of my questions are:

1. Where do you get the kits, or how do you create them?

That is asking too much from Sammy because it is not an easy task to publish how he makes his OF. I myself would like to learn also but I know that it will be tedious for anyone to teach me. You can google it and you'll know what I'm trying to say to you and understand that it isn't that easy to learn how to make OFs of such standards like Sammy's

Well, you go to the directory "My Documents" and there you should have a folder called "KONAMI", which inside contains another folder called "Pro Evolution Soccer 2010". Inside that folder, you have the "Save" folder, where all the saved informations, OF's, Leagues, Edit's and everything else. Just place all the files that you've extracted in that same folder, replacing any ones that you previously had, and voilá. Time to play with the best OF and in style... :cool:

I'm not doing the transfers just yet, as I'm still waiting to see if Konami will release an update in the next few days. Also hoping they might get licenses for some of these Champions League teams, so not going to waste my time renaming them if they will change this soon.

Now that teams in the Teams B section can be used in Master League, this is exactly what I am planning to do. It might take a while and I might need some help, but I will get there in the end.

I'm still hoping that Konami are going to bring out an update with all of the transfers and missing players, so I am holding off doing these myself. In the mean time, I've been working on things that shouldn't be affected by an update. I have made correct kits for all English league teams, including goalkeepers, which will be available in the next update. If anyone wants to help get this done more quickly feel free.

- kits for Nottingham Forrest, Leicester, Preston North End, QPR, Reading, Sheffield United, Sheffield Wednesday, Swansea (although I think JackWho is working on these)
- Stats for Championship players, including ideally a picture. If anyone can convert these from FM 2010 and give them to me, that would help a lot
- kits for the unlicensed Spanish and European teams
- Correct player names for the European teams
- Correct player names for the remaining international teams

(Bonus) - player stats and kits for Bayern Munich, VfB Stuttgart, Wolfsburg, Maccaibi Haifa, Debrecen, APOEL

Any help with these things would be much appreciated and will of course be credited.

Why second division teams? Teams who are playing Champions League and Europa League are much more interesting for people all around Europe. Championship teams are only interesting for people from GB.

So Ipswich, Reading, Derby, Sheff Wed, Sheff United, Newcastle, Notts Forest, Middlesbrough, Coventry, Crystal Palace, Swansea, Watford, Preston, QPR, West Brom, Cardiff, Blackpool, Bristol City would probably all be included.

Leaving Plymouth, Doncaster, Peterborough, Barnsley, Scunthorpe, Leicester as the teams excluded, i reckon. But its down to Sammy, i could be wrong, thats just the way i'd do it.

Apparently this year English option files are not compatible in all other European countries, so I feel a lot of people will be using this in the UK. Also, with the new format of the Master League, I feel to get a true experience of it you need to be able to fill D2 with clubs from the division below. The English league is the most popular league in the World, so it makes sense to include their lower division.

Most importantly though, the purpose of my creating an option file originally was to improve my own PES gaming experience. I personally would much rather have the Championship teams in it than random teams from around the World. I will however be trying to include the missing Champions League teams, which I hope a lot of people will appreciate.

Pretty close. I based most of my decisions on the current Championship table. I left out two of the newly promoted teams, but Leicester are reasonably high up, so I'm leaving them in.

The missing teams will be: Derby, Doncaster, Ipswich, Plymouth, Peterborough, Scunthorpe

Cheers, I know about pes stats database, but a lot of the teams don't have stats for all of their players. I was kind of hoping someone might be able to convert each club at a time from FM 2010 and put them in a Word/Excel file for me (I don't have FM so can't do this myself)

No mate its not crashed for me in Master League and im almost on my third season. The only problem i have encountered is that occasionally (and only occasionally i may add, i think its happened in about 3 games in total) Some players on the pitch will appear as all black figures, only the odd one, about 3 or 4 out of the 23 (including the ref!) on the pitch.

It doesnt affect their performance, it just looks a bit odd, and as i say its only been the odd time that its cropped up, certainly not spoiled my experience anyway, cracking OF.

Hi Kowalski, glad to see that you'll be following this OF as well.

As for the few spaces left for logos, I believe that's one of the reasons why Sammy hasn't done an update yet. He's waiting for Konami and their update to see if they license any team not licensed at the moment. That way, he could get rid of those logos and get more slots for the Championship ones. ;)

UPDATE

+ added the kits for La Liga teams
+ created 18 Championship teams (have correct kits and squad names)

Stats and appearances for the Championship teams are being worked on. Some players already in the game, such as Jay Simpson, Barton, Butt, have been left where the are for now to save moving them twice should a Konami update arrive soon.

There isn't space for the emblems of these Championship teams, so I have assigned the Championship logo to all of these teams, which I personally feel does the trick.

There isn't enough room for all of the emblems. My suggestion, is that you leave it as it is, but as you play Master League, you might want to upload emblems to the teams that get promoted :)

Not yet, I've been busy enough with the Championship. Not that fussed about Internationals at the moment, but will be looking at doing something as we approach the World Cup

There isn't enough room for all of the emblems. My suggestion, is that you leave it as it is, but as you play Master League, you might want to upload emblems to the teams that get promoted :)

really nice work, but mate, do you ever think of combining this OF with the others which include Classic Players and Teams with real names and faces? It's difficult i know, but it's also a good suggestion if you want to improve your pretty work. Last but not least, the teams of Bundesliga in your OF dont have emblems and so on!!

Yes, if you had read the thread, Sammy pointed out that due to a lack of spaces for emblems, all Championship teams would use the same logo. It does the trick really, all the kits and players are there.

This is a standalone option file for the PC version of PES 2010 and does not require any other software to work such as kitserver. I am constantly working on this file to try and make it as good as possible. The current version includes...

+ All English league kits done
+ All La Liga kits done
+ 18 Championship teams created for a complete ML experience
+ All correct team names
+ All correct emblems
+ English League transfers done and missing players created
+ Well known national team players now have correct names

As far as I know, Konami will release an update soon correcting some of the missing players/transfers. Once this is done, I will finish whatever they miss, but I didn't think it was worth me doing it now if they are simply going to fix it soon (it depends how soon though)

I said it in the other thread, but wanted to add here: Thanks for making an option file which includes the Coca Cola Championship! It makes the Master League infinitely better and more interesting to play in.

Are there any plans at present to add in the missing 6 championship teams? I know that unfortunately they can't be fitted into the 2nd Division in a Master League game (It's limited to 18 teams; I wish Konami would provide the option for 24), but it would be awesome to see them included if possible.

Been very busy at work recently, so not much time for many updates. mahanddeem has fortunately worked tirelessly to rename all of the incorrect international players. I have also spent this evening creating Bayern Munich, VfB Stuttgart, Vfl Wolfsburg in Teams A (replacing Trabzonspor, PES, Winning Eleven). For now they contain quality kits and emblems, as well as players currently in the game

Not quite sure what you mean? Other teams B is full of Championship teams. The 3 German teams are in other teams A. Not quite sure what is happening with yours? Have you copied all of my files?

Again, not quite sure what's happening with yours. Are you sure you've downloaded my file correctly? I've only added 3 German teams to Other Teams A, not to Other Teams B. Other Teams B is full of 18 Championship teams and I have no plan to change this

Same problem here. For some reason team names in other leagues A & B werent changed (it could be different game version?). So I have Bayern in other leagues A, with right formation and emblem, but it is still named as Trabzonspor. And in other leagues B the first teams are named with German teams, next ones are called just Team F, Team G, etc.

Anyway, thats a small problem, I believe I can fix that by myself. OF is great. Thank you.

In this new update I found that the team abbreviations are gone :no:

I uninstalled the new update since the Teams B are still TEAM A TEAM B etc..

And worse: Teams abreviations are gone so now its very very difficult to edit teams names above...

bah... :(

That was just an opinion, in my point of view, making the patch more "international" would definitely benefit the patch itself.

Maybe he could make an international and an English patch? But OK that would take lots of work and all ... So it's pretty much up to him. :)

But that's just my opinion he does whatever he wants ;)

I think jotenko was talking about an issue with the previous version where the 2nd div teams only had names changes and all players had the same look. This has been fixed with the new version. I also agree, it should be just english teams to give that realitic feel when playing cup and ML.

I already understood that he's not putting the Bundesliga teams in Teams B, that's OK by me.

That uploaded file arguing was just a minor change I've made to edit file, and I didnt change anything important at all, I've just inserted some correct Cup names (like Copa américa per example)...

And it is just the edit file standalone so alone it is useless because you dont have the kits or anything, it was just a way of giving it to sammy since I cannot send files here in the forum.

But OK maybe it would be better to send a PM with this, I understand why you're calling me arrogant.

I already understood that he's not putting the Bundesliga teams in Teams B, that's OK by me.

That uploaded file arguing was just a minor change I've made to edit file, and I didnt change anything important at all, I've just inserted some correct Cup names (like Copa américa per example)...

And it is just the edit file standalone so alone it is useless because you dont have the kits or anything, it was just a way of giving it to sammy since I cannot send files here in the forum.

But OK maybe it would be better to send a PM with this, I understand why you're calling me arrogant.

Didn't mean to sound harsh, so sorry if I did. I appreciate that you were trying to help, which is nice of you, changes made to the file are best discussed in private messages. I usually prefer to update it all myself to ensure top quality, as if other people adjust it, they could change anything subtly without my knowing... mahanddeem is the only person I have allowed to adjust the file, as I have previously worked with him on a 2009 option file and trust his judgement.

why some player have a "void" front of their name ??? :|
These are the fake players that were filling some of the teams in Teams A. I've renamed them with "void" at the beginning, so I know which players I can replace should I want to create missing players. You can rename them yourself for now, but I will be removing/replacing them at some point :)

There unfortunately isn't room for all international kits. This is something I will be looking into, but no promises any time soon. I will probably be focusing a lot on international teams as we draw nearer to the World Cup though.

What do you mean by Legend teams? If you mean "Classic England", etc, I've unlocked a couple, but have a feeling in this year's version you might have to unlock your own for it to work. If you mean create my own legend teams, then there simply isn't room I'm afraid. I made a couple of All Star teams for my 2009 option file which I really enjoyed playing with, however with the possibility of using Teams B in Master League, I opted for a complete Championship instead.

Hmmm. I guess theres more than 1 way to do it.

Personally I think the best way would be to go by attendances/size of club - as its likely higher attendance = more people wanting to play that team in pro evo. Thats the only reason I replaced blackpool.

It is not possible because Sammy cannot customize this OF to meet our personal needs. If you do not want the teams, you have to remove them yourself by editing the OF using some editing tools. But you have to be knowledgeable about that

Good quesiton!

Well both options can happen, it all depends on the released update. By default, if you update the game with Konami's official updates, it get rids of your contents which is to say your saved team roosters in the OF. Other details are not affected though like your saved options and games. Then you have to re-apply Sammy's current OF after any update you make to revert such changes.

But this particular released update has no effect on whatsoever your game contents are. So it's safe to update with the recent release and don't worry about it changing your game data.

I don't think this is possible because there are no extra slots for logos in the game database.

I can't believe this and infact I had some doubts after seeing this. I had to do my home work again because I watched Villarreal recent match where Nilmar actually scored a brace. Well for your observation:

Did you read the instructions in the notepad file before extracting the files? You should do so and follow exactly what is says to resolve your issue because this happens from a wrong installation of the OF.

Good news Sammy and co, it's officially confirmed that Konami has released a downloadable update from the game menu for PES 2010.

As for the changes it made to the OF after installing the update is normal because Konami's new data has now replaced the ones in Sammy's OF. So we have to wait until Sammy release a compatible version of his OF for the new update (version 1.02) to fix this issue.

I guess I am not the only one who noticed that the new DLC had an effect on Sammy's OF work.

I noticed that most of the players in the created Championship teams reverted back to their original names (ie Player E7). If we had a list of player names and teams, we could fix this ourselves without much effort. Sammy may choose to wait and just release an updated OF.

I also noticed that the update reset my OPTION file and reset my settings such as button configuration, sound levels, and so on.

It also reset my data in the GALLERY, unlocked teams, all my play history (W-T-L, timers.

However, it did not reset my accomplishments.

Anybody else experience similar problems?

+ 18 Championship teams created for a complete ML experience
+ Bayern Munich, VfB Stuttgart, Vfl Wolfsburg in Teams A
+ Missing Champions League teams created in Teams A (Debrecini, Maccabi Haifa, CSKA Moscow, FC Rubin Kazan, FC Zurich, + correct squad and kits for Steaua Bucharest)
+ All correct team names
+ All correct emblems
+ English League transfers done and missing players created
+ National team players now have correct names

As far as I know, Konami will release an update soon correcting some of the missing players/transfers. Once this is done, I will finish whatever they miss, but I didn't think it was worth me doing it now if they are simply going to fix it soon (it depends how soon though)

Dynamo Moskow still have fake players and kits... You forgot to do it or it will come on the next update?

Stuttgart and Wolfsburg only have 16 players... I think there are some players missing, cause both only have 1 goalkeeper, for example.

Yes you can use this OF online bcuz it's not a patch, just a save file.

is there anything you can do to avoid the com team auto line up the squard???

so I don't aganist some big team with there young weak players

This is due to your game settings, maybe you set it to auto select. Two ways to avoid this:
1.) Go to Settings before starting the match and make sure you say NO for COM auto select option.
2.) Go to Game Plan and check Assited Settings Option, make sure that all values are set to zero thereby making it manual.

I hope this will help yoou resolve your problem.

Go to your game settings menu after loading the game and then you'll see the download option. Run it until it finishes and say 'Yes' to apply changes. Then you are done.

Yes you can use this OF online bcuz it's not a patch, just a save file.

I am a bit of a NuB when it comes to editing. How do you use the save file online?? What do you do to have to do to have licensed teams in online games? Would the other person you playing against see the licensed team you are playing against?

Hi Mate,
I used your option file all last season and just want to thank you as I never posted a thank you, so Thank You, it was a great file with loads of work put into it.
Also I am looking forward to keeping pes 10 updated with your newest option file.

P.s I am a Toon fan Newcastle united so I am obviously playing games with Nwcle united, is there a way I can change the commentators speech to pronounce the correct players??

OK let me explain to you further. A patch is like an installation that you need to run and replace the original Konami installed files so as to keep your game current. While a save file is just a collection of edited files that you need to place inside your Konami user folder (Konami save folder usually in My Documents folder) so as to keep it current and it does not replace the actual files of Konami neither does it require any third-party tools. So if you update your game with a patch, you might ruin it from working normally.

But if you use an OF just like this by replacing your save folder with Sammy's, you are still having your game to work normally the way it should. So using this OF will not affect in any way your Online mode, everything will still work fine,just that you are now running a current stats of the game and so your opponents get to see your current stats and no longer the default because you have already updated the data.

mahanddeem has very kindly gone through the international teams and updated their kits to the correct style. At the moment none of these have logos, but this is something that is being considered.

As for the Dutch transfers, I'm assuming most were fixed in the latest Konami update. Feel free to let me know if they missed any

Ever since I realised that Konami's latest update really messed up my option file I have worked every spare minute on redoing all of my work that was lost. The file now has all of the features it did before, such as the Championship and missing CL teams, along with of all Konami's updated transfers and stats.

mahanddeem has also very kindly gone through the international teams and updated their kits to the correct style. At the moment none of these have logos, but this is something that is being considered.

In order to enjoy this latest file, you must update your game to Konami's latest version (1.2)

I hope you continue to enjoy this file and please donate (http://sammyk84.weebly.com/) to show your appreciation for the amount of work that has gone in to it.

Indeed like you mentioned in the earlier comments the dutch transfers are done when the Konami update was released. So I've got nothing further to wish. Just one slight note some players of Newcastle United have wrong commentary names but there easy to adjust. Again many thanks for the updates.

The championship teams should all just have the coca-cola logo as there is only so many available slots for badges. I'm sure Sammy mentioned all this earlier in the thread.

Well it's a normal situation where COM has to rotate starting 11 for your opponent teams because it is a league mode. This prevents them from fatigue and gives chances for other players to develop during the league. There is no way you can avoid this and by the way it makes sense leaving it that way. You don't expect COM to use the same 11 throughout the whole season.

Wow, so many posts on 'OF not working'. Well there has been an instruction left inside the archived save folder on how to correctly install this OF. Just for the clarity of everyone:

1.) Firstly, you need to open your save folder in your documents (Drive Letter for installed location:\Documents and Settings\User-name\My Documents\KONAMI\Pro Evolution Soccer 2010\save)
2.) In that location, you get to see your saved option files, cup and league modes, goals, replays (if any) and also binary files if you've done some editing before or you have been using an OF. Then you are in the right location to copy all of Sammy's content to this particular location as stated above.
3.) To successfully copy Sammy's contents, you must open his archived file and go into the "save" folder. Then copy all files over there and replace in the same above location as in 'Step 2'
4.) If you have some older files in there (maybe you have been using an OF before), you must overwrite with Sammy's own. Else it will not ask you if you are doing this for the first time (usually after a clean install of the game)

I do not mind they change 1 or 3 players
but sometimes the com team starting line-up change like 5-8 players
there will be no fun when you play liverpool without gerrard and torres
chelsea with out drogba, lampard, terry, etc

it was working fine with the non-patched game
but after I updated it to 1.02 and downloaded sammy's new OF the following message appears :
"[Edit Mode]
Load failed because data is from a different version.
Download content and update data."

I downloaded the update file separately ..
I don't know should the update go form 1.01 to 1.02 cause I went directly to 1.02
then I tried downloading updates inside the game it starts downloading then it says "download file corrupted" or somthing like that

so , can anyone help ?

I am having the same problem...once the 11/26 patch is installed, the logos for EPL become generic and no international kits are available either.

The users that are having difficulty installing the patch and getting errors is simply because they are more than likely not installing the steps mentioned by pnkrckr in a new install.
if you try to install the patch over an already patch game the system will give you an error or skip logos.
Uninstall your game/re-install/download update from System set up/ then paste Sammys files into the save folder and you'll be set.
I had the same issue and the patch works great after I followed the same recipe.
as always Sammy, you are the only reason we keep buying this game. AWESOME PATCH AND GREAT WORK FROM OTHER USERS TO MAKE SAMMY'S FILE COMPLETE AND THUS MAKING PES 2010 ENJOYABLE TO PLAY.

Seems people are making a mistake...

To make the latest sammy's OF to work well, you need to follow these steps:

1. Update your game to version 1.02
2. On your game, go to "System Settings" -> "Download", accept and wait until it ends
3. Click "yes" when the game asks if you want to replace the edit file
4. Install sammy's OF

This is what I've done here, and its working perfectly.

I'm happy you added some more explanation to this issue because I have said already that they should update from the game settings!!!!!!!

Dude it makes sense when it happens like that because there is something called fatigue and the players need some rest. I know that the teams becomes weaker playing out their star players but it's for the fun of the game to make it in reality.....

cheers sammy all seems good so far...apart from now song play in all events and modes even if I take them out of the playlist. Also Champs League isnt in the playlist editor. Im sure it was before ?

1.Uninstall the game completely
2.DELETE the game folder from where you've installed it before and delete the saves folder from the hard drive
3.Install the game again..AND patch it to 1.02 and download the update from inside the game...
4.Copy Sammy's files into the game save folder
5.Have fun and be optimistic

I sent this to Mark74 as a private message, but just in case this affects anyone else, I thought I'd duplicate it here...

"Noticed you've been having a few problems with my option file.

Firstly: update to 1.2
Then: in game, go to settings, then "download" and apply all changes
Then: exit the game and copy my files over
Done: run the game and enjoy

If however you have done all of this and it's still not working, one thing I can think of that may be affecting this is the language you have your game set to. I changed all of the team names for the English language, so if you have yours set up in Dutch, then it may still show the incorrect team names.

Please try it in English to see if it works, so I know what the problem is. If that works, let me know and I'll see if I can change the names to work with other languages

I think it can be done..but anyway,not by using an option(edit) file.....GGS or a kitserver can do the trick

Yes there is, it's called kitserver and is quite easily applied ontop of sammy's patch without adding anything other than the league/cup emblems.

or you could just implement the new images into the .img files by yourself.

not to be a big ass but aren't your kits incredibly low resoution?
I don't have a big problem with it, but I would not mind the resolution being better either :)
Some of them were a bit rushed as I wanted to get them all done so that people could enjoy the playing experience. I am tweaking some of the ones I feel aren't quite up to scratch... for example, I have just re-done nearly all of the La Liga kits

Not simply using the option file. It is possible using other programs like kitserver, but I feel the main thing that makes my option file different from other people's patches is that fact that it doesn't require any other software to work, and therefore doesn't experience any crashes or slowdowns as a result

I've noticed this as well. This happened when I updated to 1.2, but I'm not quite sure why. So far it hasn't been a big deal, but I'm still quite curious as to what happened. Hopefully it will get sorted out when Konami next update

The file has been updated with a few tweaks that should improve it. mahanddeem has very kindly gone through again and fixed the international player names, as well as the call names for Championship players. I have also redone many kits from the Champions League and La Liga, using excellent png's made by Roigafni. I have also given Debrecini a slightly nicer emblem.
