Do Option Files work when online?

Word up,

I've downloaded an Option File and installed it on my PS3. However, I noticed when I went online for the first time last night, that none of the proper kits or team names were there.

Is this something I've done wrong, or is it something that is unavoidable?

no they will never work online.

Unavoidable mate. No matter how you change or edit the game offline, it will always be the same online. Think about it, someone could easily edit the stats so that Robbie Blake was the best striker in the world, Wade Elliot was unplayable and Brian Jensen was almost unbeatable. And then just go online and smash everyone.

Konami often release patches to update the teams "rosters" if you will, so that Dunne isnt still playing for City etc, and those changes will be in place online, but not with unofficial option files or patches.

You can play online on the PC with edited kits etc ... (PES 6 you could)

Ye that sucks i wish it showed up for friendly matches just not ranked or something....
