Why is online still so crap on pes2010!!!

Its driving me mad.

I have bought 2 copies of pes2010 this year and i buy it every year since it was international superstar soccer but i bought 2 copies so i could send one to my brother who is at university in huddersfield. When we tried to play online the lag is terrible. About 1-2 seconds which makes it unplayable. I have tried to play 3 times now and every game has been terrible. As you can imagine this is incredibly frustrating as it was the sole reason for purchasing the game this year. I am using a wireless connection but i dont see this being a problem. I have never had any problems playing games online inclusing konami's latest metal gear solid which works without fault. I checked my download speed and its 6meg and upload at 40. Can i please have some help with this other than use an ethernet cable as this isnt possible at my residence.

T be fair universitys arnt exactly know for there high speed broadband, maybe hat could be the problem.

If i rember correctly when i was at uni i could even stream a footbal game properly as they had shitty connections and aload of firewalls.

thanks for the comment but he is not living in halls this year. he is in rented accommodation in a house so it shouldn't be the problem. Is anyone else suffering?

mixed here i do mainly 2v2...and most games are okay to good..

1 was so bad i had like a 3 second delay time between pressing button and onscreen action.

so i would say situational. and most of my games have been vs ppl in spain or france.

when you say ok to good, what ok-1sec delay?? whats the best i can hope for

hm less than 1 full second...but not as sharp as offline.. which feels like ultras turbo mode when you have just sat through a good few online battles!
