Button delay online

when i play online i have a huge button delay and it makes it impossible to play. i've lost 6 out of 7 games already, winning the 7th coz i got used to the delay. but it is really annoying. any ideas on how i can fix it?

If you have a Nvidia card in its control panel switch [maximum pre loaded frames] to 1 or 2 (3 default).
