I am new to PES and don't understand few things. I am currently playing as CF.

1. What is use of salary which is shown by 3000P when singing contracts?
2. How does game rate player after match?
3. What is use of focus points, do I need to change them?
4. Why I can't take free kicks?
5. How can I get new cards? currently I have only balanced player card.

1. What is use of salary which is shown by 3000P when singing contracts?
Your salary is used for online mode. If you enter the "Scout" section in your Become a Legend, you can pick 4 players from all possible players in the game. These players will appear on your team when playing "Legends" online. The value of these players can not be more than your current salary.

2. How does game rate player after match?
This has been a source of much discussion, and I'm not sure anyone has come up with an answer, best advice is to get a few shots on goal, a few intercepts and some successful passes each game atleast.

3. What is use of focus points, do I need to change them?
Focus points determine how your player will evolve throughout his career

The AI "manager" will most likely pick the player with the best freekick stats.

5. How can I get new cards? currently I have only balanced player card.
This depends on your stats. In '09 you would gain new special abilities when certain stats would reach a certain number. Yhis is also influenced by your position on the pitch.
