Changing internet provider. Leaving the slow O2. Having previously been with Piper then Tiscali.
Thinking of moving to sky as I am a Sky subscriber.
Anybody like to recommend a provider?
I live in Aberdeen where like most of the country has a piss poor network set-up.
I hear Sky are decent enough. O2 were the country's best last I checked but your speed was dependent on how far away from the exchange you were as it was an ADSL line and not cable.
I'm with Virgin Media and have been since the days of them being Birmingham Cable prior to the Telewest changeover and honestly, I find their service to be excellent bar the slow upload speed (which is the case with a lot of ISPs) and traffic shaping.

Aye. Paying 17.50 for O2. For nowhere near the so-called up to speeds you are supposed to get. Not even close.
So I think I'll change to sky. Cheaper seeing as I subscribe to sky.
