Just pipped a friend who had 28, with 29. A few games later I managed 32 :-)
What's your record? Did your heli do all the work, or did you run around picking up any gun you could find?

LOL I'm getting MW2 in about an hour ;)
On COD4 my record is 21.
On COD: WaW my record is 24.
Managed 17 so far in MW2; a friend already has 24 which is more of a shock considering that he's actually dump at the game! :p
What has everyone set up as their killstreaks on MW2 so far?
Mine are:
4 kills - care package
5 kills - predator missle
7 kills - harrier strike

how do u get such a good kill streak? do u hide around or run up to people and shoot them. on other games i always get shot in the back and my max is 14 lol.
4 kills gets me a care package, which sometimes can get me either an AC-130 or a chopper gunner. 7 kills gets me a harrier strike, and 11 gets me the chopper gunner. It was Afgan I got the streaks on, which is a nice open map.

I haven't played single player yet, only observed others playing it. The single player does look excellent but I hear it's very short, maybe only taking 6 hours to complete or so. If I were you, I'd just shell out for Xbox Live definitely as there is a reason MW2 single player doesn't last long, probably because online is where it's at.
Somewhere in the COD:MW2 thread, there's a promotional code for very.co.uk - which knocks £25 off of your first purchase. You could essentially buy a 1 year subscription to Xbox Live for about £12, or along those lines anyway. Well worth looking into it.

As for kill streak, I've been playing on 2 different accounts at different houses, I've reached around 10 I believe. Although it's slightly less than that I think on my own personal account, probably about 5, but saying that, I've only had about 6 matches on my own account. Loving it so far though.
My record on COD4 was around 24 I believe, but I'm not sure for WaW as I never really played it much.

but yesterday I played 3 games in a row and was top with highest points so I guess im not that bad afterall looool

Was desperately aiming for 30, saw someone running in the distance but due to me picking up a shit gun couldn't hit him enough to kill him. Time was ticking away, he was hiding behind an barrell, and my noise must have got the attention of one of his teammates, who through a knife at me just before time ran out.
Damn it.

Im useless with kill streaks, I think 10 is my best, I usually average 20+ kills with around 5-10 deaths, all to often I get to 5 or 6 kills then get cheaply stabbed or something.
As an example I just played Underpass with the FAL iron sight, managed 33 kills with the help of a chopper gunner, but never really got a good streak going, had about 10 deaths I think. FAL was pretty awesome though..
I experienced 2 EMPs tonight. I panicked with the first as if I was Corporal Jones in Dad's Army. :faceplm:
Seems I've chosen poorly so far in unlocking counter-UAV and directional air strike.
I got a 36 kill streak yesterday, just 2 away from Del with 38.
im still on 9 and ive had that since the day i got it but i dont seem to be getting near that anymore

Sentry gun. Every time i get one of those it seems to be around for about 10 seconds before somone destroys it!
My highest is 20 which I got in Derail. Was in the big building sniping and had both entrances claymored up. This one guy just kept on coming back to the same entrance and running into my claymore! He must have accounted for at least 8 of my kill streak!
The killstreaks I use are:
4 kills - Airdrop
7 kills - Attack Helicopter
11 kills - Chopper Gunner

I thought you could only get one claymore (as it replaces your grenade); so how did you kill someone with 8 claymores in one kill streak?

I use scavenger as perk 1 and when you kill someone a little blue bag appears. You pick that up and it refills your ammo including claymores, noobtubes etc.

Ahhhh, yes. Forgot about that. Does the perk let you pick up bullets for a gun you don't have? For example I would pick up an M16 to use the ammo with my M4, but if I tried to pinch ammo from a dropped SCAR for my M4, would it let me?

Yes it just refills whatever gun you have and doesn't matter what gun they had.
You will notice a little blue bag lying around the body. Just pick that up and a little picture of a vulture will come up on you screen for a second.
i like scavenger as in this game yor ammo seems to run out quite quick, and yeah those sentry guns can be destroyed by somone just knifing it

I much prefer the harrier strike over the sentry gun as I never really know where to put the sentry gun, and anytime I am setting it up I usually get killed :faceplm:
That EMP thing is cool. I remember getting 3 kills in a row without the sight, was proper panicking though! My highest streak is only 13 though.
Had some good games tonight, 23-10 and then 34-11 :smug:

12.got it on sub-base.which is my most hated map
32, which included a Nuke (the score didn't, but the I ended the game with one).
Equalled my best of 15 yesterday with a 41-11 on Rundown, after changing my Kill-Streaks to Pred, Harrier Airstrike and Pave Low.

I find it REALLY hard to stay alive in this game. My best is below 20. Before that it was like 13 or 14.
I had someone come up to me and say "9 kill streak.....but are you gonna pavelow?" to the tune of Funky Dee's song 'Are you gonna bang tho?"
