orange dot on growth curve?

anyone have any idea what this dot means, my only guess is it denotes what your maximum potential was or something does anyone know for sure what it is?

I believe it is a rough estimate of how well you're playing at the moment.

weird if thats the case i still cant make any sense of it. its positioned like 1 year back and 15 rating above my growth curve.

The curve is the EXPECTED development and the dot is how you developed so far.
