View Full Version : Frame Skipping Box?

Simple question really, why is it that the game runs in ultra slow motion when this is left unticked?
I should clarify this further by stating that it runs slow motion in games only, not practice.

Because your graphics card is unable to run the game well. Frame skipping means it doesn't process every frame, reducing the work of your graphics card to a degree.

I think it is more the Processor to be honest, I get bottlenecking.:crymore: I am upgrading soon, so I will be able to run games in general a lot better.
I found though that on XP sp3 I could run PES on the higest settings and highest available resolutions, on Win7 it was the first time Ive had problems with my games in general.
for clarity I have a P4 2.8 ghz processor, yes vary old now.

Ah yes the processor could be the culprit in that case.

For the record I have a nvidia 8800 GTX(XFX Alphadog), which I know is not a problem at this point in time. It is 15% faster than the standard 8800 and benchmarks comparitively to the newer 200 generation, atleast upto the 280 generation.
Strangly, on one of the threads on this forum I read it an was able to customise my adaptor settings now I have no motion blur and am playing it on High, but at 1024x768 though.

That card is far too good for this game so no, not a problem at all. The processor would bottleneck it something awful.
You'd be able to play at a lower resolution because there's less information for the card, bottlenecked, to process. Unleash its full force - but a better processor :>
Do you guys think setting the exe to XP SP3 compatible is needed? I really don't need to since game runs just fine on my computer with Windows 7 but just checking. Maybe less work on the GPU that way?
I don't think that will work - I presume the additional requirements of Windows 7 as an OS versus Windows XP are coming into play here.
I suppose trying won't hurt, it just doesn't seem logical.
I hear you(not literally):). Thanks for the response anyway.
I had to untick frame skipping and perform some tweaks in Nvidia control pannel, in order to eliminate the button lag (aka reaction times).
Check my thread in this section for more info.

RivaTuner worked at finally helping me play the game lag free. Forced off the Vsync settings that seems to always revert to default.

the last few kitservers have had a speed slider.
I cant testify as to it's usefulness.
