A thread for sharing, interesting, funny, or even mundane conversations that you've had.
I was just reminiscing about a conversation about screws I had with a friend, on the tube home after a birthday lunch. I started the conversation. I saw a warning (stop?) sign on the wall and pointed out that it looked like the label/logo for flat-headed screws. She noticed a screw on the carriage wall. She thought it was a phillips screw, but I corrected her. It was actually a pozidrive. I explained the difference. She then looked around the carriage to test my knowledge. What she pointed at next was actually a rivet. I then carried on with, "I recall the first time I encountered a rivet". At which point, we paused a laughed at the banality of it all.
Sometimes, a quiet journey is for the best.
