I think we all know that Pro, in all its various forms, has never been known for its realism when it comes to the transfer market. There have been a few strange ones on my current BAL game. It's bad enough that you have retired players like the 40 year-old Paul Scholes starting for England, but I've also seen transfers like:
Theo Walcott from Arsenal to Tottenham, and Ashley Cole also going to White Hart Lane (can you imagine the response they'd get?)
Cesc Fabregas to Blackburn (why?)
35 year-old Jamie Carragher from Liverpool to my Man Utd side (picture Steve Gerrard's face if this happened?)
Worst of all though, on my current game at least, the mighty, c. £50m Franck Ribery lighting up the Prem playing for Wolves. Where they got the money for him I'll never know...
Anyone else got any worse?

Ribery went to Blackburn on my Become a Legend... I'm at Fulham and he ripped apart our defence!

Messi to Pompy (Portsmouth) when I was at West London White (Fulham) He played stunningly shit.
Kaka to Middlesbrook (Bolton Wanderers) Also when I played For West London White (Fulham) Played so good he got an 8.0 rating and a 7.5 rating in both the league games, (good for AI)
I found this the most ummm... strangest of all... for strange reasons, The amazing... Zamora... going to AC Milan???

konami must of been smokin weed when they built the transfer game engine hahaha crazy transfers, i was arsenal in football manager 2010 and put a bid of 300mill for ashley cole and they still wouldnt sell him just adds to the long list of unrealistic things about pes really dont it lol

i played against arsenal on mine and the commentator said ''ashley cole'' when their left back had possesion, i took a moment to think about that one, did he move from arsenal to chelsea in real life or was it the other way around.

i had gerrard going to lyon, torres to roma and rooney going to sevilla. had reina to man utd and lampard to wolves. messi to xerez in the spanish league with kaka moving to bolton and c.ronaldo going to west ham...all happened in 1 season!!! i was like WTF!

D. Villa to Zenit St. Petersburg
Pato and Drogba to FC Schaux (wtf?)
Steven Gerard from Liverpool to Man UTD.
I'd be damned if he joined man utd in real life. PLus also Van der sar joins liverpool.
Also had Lampard join Barcelona. Very strange seeing as though they already have the most complete midfield.

A few of these stem from the fact that they have missed out a simple, yet important feature in the game - relationships between clubs and rivalries.
it's also weird that athletic bilbao (known for only accepting players of basque origin) is willing to accept pretty much anyone!
in my bal:
ribery-> newcastle
henry-> sunderland (WTF???)
lampard->sunderland (WTF???)
beckham to blackburn.
this must be a joke ;)
I must say that transfer window activity is improved this year, cause in pes 09 for some unknown reason in 1st transfer window Juve and Liverpool were selling 3/4 of their squads and buying some crappy kickers of the ball. At least it was happening in my games. I haven't noticed something like that this year.
Had Fabregas and Gerrard both sign to United within 2 seasons of one another. Was disappointed with that one as I had just moved to Inter.

this wasn't quite the point i was making... the mode is great: addictive, often rewarding, sometimes frustrating, but always fun. The fact that there are some strange transfers is just an aside to me, it doesn't really affect the overall game that much. Certainly doesn't make it horrible.

But it's often very disappointing when after couple of seasons you're finally got the offer from your beloved club and... and ... and... instead of well known players you have to play with McShits, De Fecats or Gishtioewrca or other made up players.:realmad:

ive just started BL and when i hear about these transfr its kinda ruining it but they also happan in ML Like wallcot to chelsea
playing for real madrid in BAL. signed Xavi mid season??? Also saw that Aguero left Atletico Madrid (good team) for Almeria (bad team).
I really do not understand how the computer's brain works on this game.....

To be honest i have no problems with the transfers...
I am quite sure that transfers are affected by:
1. the performance of a club in a season.
2. players not given enough playing time.
My Experiences
BAL : In my first season , man utd finished in 5th place. the next season, rooney moved to real madrid, nani to newcastle, and owen to bordeaux. fulham finished 2nd in that season, and the following season, they bought a hell of a trio: balotelli, sweinstiger, and van der vart. arsenal finished 6th, the following season, van persie moved to some french club, fabregas to chelsea.
ML: In my third season, chelsea finished 5th. The following season, ashley cole moved to arsenal, who finished second. I played against Inter in the uefa champions league, and i realised that muntari did not play in either of the 2 legs. The next season he moved back to pompy(;)). park ji sung moved to valencia, because he was not given enough playing time...
To be honest i have no problems with the transfers..
Well, the funny I saw was Gallardo as a first squad member on Barcelona, 'cause he is really old with an overall too low to play there :P
Also, when i played for Man U, Peter Cech was the first GK and Terry the team's captain lol

Steven Gerrard left Liverpool to play for Man United. Needless to say, I re-started the save.
