PS3 Save Game Problem

Hello,

I have just bought a PS3 slim and try as I might, I cannot use my saved games from my old PS3 on my new system.

I am using a memory stick to transfer the data; putting it on the new PS3 doesn't seem to be the issue, but I am unable to use the files once I have reappropriated them.

I have not tried this with any other game but Fifa 10, the files are there, when I go to load manager mode, the files appear, but it says I need to be the correct user to play the game.

So I created a user on the new PS3, same name, same case (all lower) and still no luck, I am not the correct user and thus I cannot use the files.

Am I missing something really obvious?

Have you thought about taking the HDD out your new PS3 and putting in the HDD from your old PS3, which has all your save game data on? Or is the size of the HDD bigger in the 'Fat' PS3 compared to this new 'Slim' model you've bought?

Could try phoning Sony, their Customer Services are first class from what I've heard.
