Want a new laptop....

Yo, I'm looking for a new laptop to replace my current Dell Vostro 1500, its reliable, but a tad heavy and has a shite battery life now. So, I think its time to go and get a new one.

What I want is a pretty slick one with at least 3GB RAM, 250GB HDD and between 13-16 screen size.

My price range is flexible, I'll be able to go as far as £600 or so, maybe even a bit higher cause Im pretty certain, I can get 30% discount when purchased through my University.

What's the weight of your current one? No point me finding a 16" laptop that's even heavier. Probably best to stick to 13-15 for portability anyway.

3.1kg. 13-15" would probably be best. I just want a pretty neat/slick looking one that runs very smoothly and has a better HDD.
