Why is it so difficult/hard to win games at home? I loose or draw half of home games. I can go a full season having 100 percent winning record in away games. This is just not realistic. KONAMI should look into this for PES 2010.

Also, as of late my strikers do Lob and Chip Shots instead of taking a power shot..

I'd guess that's all on you. Most probable reason is because its a home game your more attacking, looking to score, passing through your opponent and on the counter-attack they're picking you off for fun. Try a more controlled possesion game so if you lose the ball when attacking you'll be quick to win back control of the ball and play.

As for your strikers chipping the ball that's all on the amount you using the special controls. I imagine your holding the trigger too long meaning the shot will be chipped, instead of a accurately placed power shot.

I acually think i had this before i could win loads of away games and i hoped to continue winning at home but sometimes you dont.

I don't lose any, so I don't have this problem.

Seriously though, are others finding the game way too easy? Is there any truth to the rumour that it gets harder when your team gets better?

My team is pretty good, best player is 87 overall, two others 86 overall, and two 85.

OP - I haven't ever noticed a difference between home and away though, even when I first started and sucked at the game. What difficulty are you on?

i lost to bacelona a home in the cup 1 - 0
then beat them away (at there place) 4 - 1

i lost 1 - 0 to ac milan at home then beat them 3 -1 away in the champions league and im aston villa playing on proffesional!!

so i agree i win more away games!!

I would play on top player but i find it cheats and sucks! and scores really w**k goals against me to catch up all the time, which causes me to smash the ***ck out my controller an i play to relax not get more wound up!!

Ha ha, been there myself, but it's much worse to feel like nobody can beat you. What team do you use?

The reason is when you play at home the CPU just looks to defend the entire game, they put 11 man behind the ball, that´s why is so hard to score and they also don´t attack. It´s very common for me to draw at home 0x0... the CPU just keep the entire team inside their half. While when we play away games they tend to attack more and there´s more space to play and find ways to score. I agree... it´s not realistic... especially when a lot of home games end up 0x0.

My bad, I see you use Aston Villa and on Professional.

Anyway, I'm not saying you're wrong, but I play Top PLayer and use a ML team who are better in some areas than Villa (Midfield) and the same or worse in others (attack, defense, GK).

So, yeah, I don't know, maybe just be glad that there is a challenge there still and don't worry about whether it happens at home or not...?

This has been the case since Pes 6. HOME GAMES ARE HARDER TO WIN THAN AWAY ONES. I don't know why.

My strategy is the same home and away. Last night I played 4 games of which three were home and one away. Guess what I won the away draw two home games and won the last home game. I think maybe it has something to do with amount of money you’re allowed to win in a season. I noticed that at the end of the season when I got my sponsorship money that it is not really adding the money. I was told by that you’re only allowed to earn a certain amount per season. That way you will not become super rich in comparison with the other clubs in the Master League. Whether it is true, I don’t know.

I also noticed most of the time how easy it is to beat the big three just to draw or loose against the much smaller teams. Again it happens every season in my Master League experience. I am now in season 2023-2024

ha ha yeah i agree i mean i have struggle against a side who are rubbish get beat or scrape a draw.
then next game is against man u and my best players are purple.start thinking im going to get stuffed and end up beat them 4 -1 or something playing my reserve team.

Thats sometimes happans i think its worse on the fifa games though like getting beat 6-0 by wigan and winning agaisnt liverpool 4-0 when you manutd.

Also last year aswell in pes 2009 i played derby i think i checked the table they had not won a game and were last and i was 1st and they played me and i couldnt score or even get the ball for shit and i wouldnt except it untill i won cause its bull shit even though i can take a loose im not going to be cheated if the stats dont add up lol.

Yeah, I don't have this problem either... Maybe you hard-pressed yourself too much when playing at home...

The lose at home thing could just be you relaxing a bit more because you might be expecting yourself to win... :erm:

As for the chip shot thing, that happens to me too. It's because I accidentally press the sprint button when I shoot (it's the same button to chip, might be different for you though...). It pisses me off so much. I'm tempted to change the controls around to avoid this, but to be honest I think that would cause even more mess-ups because it would take ages to get used to the new controls.....

^You lob the ball with L1 + []. But when you press [] and then you press R1, the ball will not lob exactly, it'll just go over the keeper. Kinda adds like a small lift to the ball so that it goes over the keeper when he is down to save your shot. They're different. But I get what you're saying and yeah it is highly annoying.

Hmm? Sometimes at home I would win, if I play poorly or have alot of players out of form and low fitness I would simply be punished.
Same kinda goes for Away matchs like against Bolten or Fulham lol I would get beaten 3-0 or 2-0 due to poor defending and weak teamwork.

Is the rumour any truth? I think TOP PLAYER is too easy ... when you dribble using your winger on the side, defender does not close down, instead they let you pass ... wat daaaa ... lalalala ...

Even Away doesn't feel hard at all ...

Doesn't want to sound arrogant, i hope I am wrong
