I used to play this game obsesively starting from pro evo on the ps1. I was also pretty good at pro evo 2 and then it all went down hill and I got really bad, couldn't play on 5 star mode very well and after pro 6 I just gave up and went to football manager, anyway i've returned and here are my thoughts:

-Referees are just too harsh. There are times when you just miss the opponent from a sliding tackle from the side and yep you know it, it's a red card. So what am I suppost to do just let Messi run at my full backs? again it's too harsh it wasn't that bad 3/4 years ago.

-Automatic fouls. About 6-8 times in a game your players give away fouls for no reason and it's annoying and can cost you because your opponent is always ridiculously good at free kicks. Seriously i've practised free kicks and I can either not get it over the wall or it goes over the bar if someone knows a free kick tutorial that tells me exactly how much power is needed on a free kick from all positions on the field i'll be greatful but point still stands.

-Master League mode. I can't sign players no matter how crap they are. I'm playing as Azul in la liga and everytime I try to negotiate it always breaks down and I don't know why. It would be nice to know why it broke down but instead I have to keep reloading saves because I have no idea who will join and that is around 1/100 footballers. In fm you can filter players by who are interested but here you can't. The scout does have this option but it only comes out with 32 players. Overall it is frustrating and has gone from being too easy to sign players to being too hard and stupid. 3 transfer negotiations? that's fucking stupid so I have to go into a new season with no depth because I can only negotiate for 3 transfers?

As much as I like become a legend mode, there are too many times when I get into a great position and the AI just seems to ignore me.

Go back to football manager then if you don't like it.

Never said I didn't like it just that it has a few flaws that I would of expected better from a series that has been around for 10 years oh and the commentary is pretty bad although it is a huge improvement from the last commentators. It can't make up its mind what it thinks about headed opportunities

As for the BAL issues you have, getting around 70 Team Work really helps with that. Depending a bit on the Team Work on your team mates as well ofcourse.

If you pass the ball alot and succsessfully in the scout match you should be able to start with 66-70 Team Work.
