They've dropped...

WWE Divas Mickie James and Katie Lea Burchill as well as Superstars Shelton Benjamin, Kung Fu Naki, Slam Master J and Jimmy Wang Yang. I heard Mike Knox and Chris Masters have been dropped too not entirely sure though.

Shelton decision is unreal, so under used and Mickie well clearly WWE hated her singing career idea. The rest i'm not fussed on.

LOL at Shelton's firing being a suprise.

Sure Shelton was great, he's been with the company for nearly 10 years and hasnt won a World Title, put it down to booking injustice or whatever. It may have been mutual, Benjamin was seeing so many guys getting pushes whilst he was in ECW, seeing Swagger win the World Heavyweight may have been too much for him.

If Shelton isn't TNA world champ within two years, then I'll send cancer to TNA & WWE.

Shad Gaspard, Luke Gallows, Caylen Croft, Vance Archer, Jillian Hall and Tiffany got their marching orders today.

Haribo

Further death to the tag division. Usos are the longest serving left(!). Surprised about Jillian since she was made a trainer only recently. Guess she sucked at it.

Sad to see Tiffany go, but at least WWE managed to find her a husband (to beat up).

Joel

Only one I actually have some sympathy for is Luke Gallows. First he had that shit gimmick Festus and then he could have gone somewhere by being in Punk's group, but rather than treating the stable as a stable, it was just Punk and his lackeys (just like Legacy and Edge's faction in 2008).

Don't forget fake Kane. Being Kane since 2004 is bad enough, but a fake Kane?

Joel
03-12-2010, 00:42
Well MVP has been given the boot now.

Back in 2007, he was one of my favourite heels. Then creative decided to put him on a losing streak, turn him face and kill his career. Shame. I thought he'd go onto big things before he was screwed.

Edit: He apparently asked for the release. Must have been a tough decision being close to Xmas and all.

HH

Wow.

And these new guys ive seen recently isnt going to persuade me to watch it again. The fucked up thing is, they arent losing any money, only making mo'. Would've thought the UFC would be raping them in that department but no where near.

Joel

AgentZero
03-12-2010, 01:16
wow that is interesting i thought with the rise of MMA,i thought pro-wrestling is a dying thing. I cringe every time i watch UFC and it is followed by TNA at the awful spectacle...like fucking Hogan, Sting, Raven and Nash still fucking dominating.

Haribo
03-12-2010, 14:24
I know it's a common thing to say, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him back in TNA. He's certainly good enough to be their world champion.

Is that Low-Key? If so, I remember watching some of his older matches on TV, the guy could really put on a great match - was probably TNA.

Haribo
23-12-2010, 22:32
Yep; Low-Ki, Senshi and whatever other names he's gone by. He won NXT season 2 and had an obvious rapport with fans. He's exciting to watch, extremely athletic & talented yet was jobbed at every opportunity then ultimately released. This close to Christmas. Depressing stuff.

If he his dad was a Hall of Famer you can guarantee they'd keep him around for the long haul.

muscularmatt
23-12-2010, 22:44
Professional wrestling that we watched as kids is dead guys. TNA had a real chance to become the saving group and take on Darth Vince, but they fucked it up quite hilariously.

Aslong as WWE remains TVPG, which it always will now, nothing good can ever happen.

BarnDoor
23-12-2010, 22:57
They sacked him cos he has talent. They prefer wretched shit wrestlers. No one watches WWE anymore anyway. MM is right, the wrestling we loved when we were younger is fucking dead.

I would only flicy over occasionally to TNA for the odd laugh now and again. At least you can watvh it without being totally repulsed

muscularmatt
23-12-2010, 23:27
I watch it for the hope that Melina's costume will rip open when she does that splits move and I'll get a free look at her gigantic vagina.

Hmmm, MM. I like it!

Vladimir Kozlov, Chris Masters, DH Smith & Melina have all gone.

Gail Kim has quit too apparently.

Hunter
05-08-2011, 20:06
No real big losses. But I do hear the "Divas" are beginning to rebel against the WWE for what they believe is poor treatment. I think we can all agree, that despite being paid well for essentially doing very little, they've been massively deprived of TV time and a fair opportunity to show what skill they have. It's just a shame Kharma got herself knocked up really, and sort of screwed the "Divas" division in the process.

Joel
05-08-2011, 20:29
Not too happy about Masters being released. Guy improved A LOT and could easily been used as a good mid carder.

muscularmatt

I liked Kozlov too. Melina's understandable, on a count of her being a complete bitch.

Hi. Bye.

Hunter
08-09-2011, 11:56
I think it's a bit too convenient that WWE are throwing it up there to be honest brother. It's almost admitting failure which WWE obviously never do, but not just that, given the storyline progressions on the WWE site lately, I think it's just one big swerve. I wouldn't be surprised if he makes an appearance again, at NoC, interfering of some sort. I really have no idea who he'd help though, which is the exciting thing!

BarnDoor
08-09-2011, 12:03
Almost certainly a work. Rather worrying since it makes an NWO-outsider type angle all the more possible.

Hi. Bye.

I, don't know why he returned, it was just painful listening to him on the mic and then CM punk showing him up. He has no charisma, stiff as a plank and limited wreslting ability. One thing he was right about though, is the wrestlers now are too small and can't be taken seriously. It's one of the worst rosters I've ever seen.

The greatest thing Nash ever did for the WWE was fuck up this promo

Joel
08-09-2011, 12:09
Yeah, it most likely is a work. There's a reason Laurinaitis got in the car with Nash.

Edit: @777. I've never liked Nash in WWF/E and I never really watched WCW. But I thought he was class in TNA.

BarnDoor
08-09-2011, 12:23
Nash was always shit on the mic. Watching the early NWO stuff again it's amazing how often he tries to be funny and just fails miserably. Nash is clearly an astute guy so it's hard to fathom why he risks the embarassment. Hall was a lot more sensible in this regard. Best promo Nash ever cut was 'The measuring stick just changed around here, buddy - you're looking at it'. That was some epic shit.

That being said, nothing is as embarassing as The Giant in his first NWO stint. He wasn't too bad on the mic previously but in the NWO he just didn't work. 'When in doubt, NWO!' is as bad as anything I've seen, as are his constant fuck-ups in trying to say 'Whether you like it or you don't like it: Learn to love it. Because it's the best thing going today' in unison with Hogan.

Yeah, it most likely is a work. There's a reason Laurinaitis got in the car with Nash.

Other than sex?

Does that even make any sense?

I was actually going to put "other than to give him head", but went against it.

Would explain Laurinaitis' deep gruffy voice, mind.

BarnDoor
08-09-2011, 12:39
It makes no sense whatsoever, and is made even more embarassing by the fact that not one member of the NWO even laughs or acknowledges him. Even The Giant knows he's made himself look a cunt by turning away from the camera. The worst thing is this only gets more cringeworthy the more you see it; one of the great unheralded moments of sheer humiliation on live TV in wrestling history.

Watch from about 9 minutes in, though I'd recommend sampling some classic Flair and Arn action first, involving Jericho when he knew his place:

It couldn't have been given that he was still very much a member at the time (seeds of dissent weren't really sewn for another couple of months, after World War III). I just think they, like all of us, didn't know what the fuck he was on about and rightfully ignored the fat cunt.

Meh, so what. She's fit, but she's no wrestler.

Baddar
29-10-2011, 23:40
I liked Maryse, but beyond the one run she had, she was nothing special. Her ring work was never good enough for her to work as a face, so it was only a matter of time.

muscularmatt
30-10-2011, 00:48
Ring work means nothing for the girls these days though. They've proved that by giving the women's title to slags that can't wrestle for shite.

You say that like it's exclusive to females.

Hunter

You say that like it's exclusive to females.

I'm pretty sure most of the male competitors, particularly those in the spotlight are not only competent in the ring, but often very good.

Randy Orton
Alberto Del Rio (WWE Champ)
Christian
Sheamus
Dolph Ziggler (US Champ)
Cody Rhodes (Intercontinental Champ)
CM Punk
Daniel Bryan (MITB Winner)
The Miz

Hell, even Mark Henry has been having quite an enjoyable reign as the World Heavyweight Champ, with strong booking and even decent performances. He's proving incredibly convincing as an intimidating monster of a man.

Thus, your point is void.

It's easy to say 'but look, WWE's face is Cena'. True. His ring work is pretty average at best, but he's one of the most charasmatic superstars in fucking ages - and he's not currently a champion, or even in the title picture anymore.

muscularmatt
30-10-2011, 04:56
Mark Henry can break as many rings as he wants with his fat pals, his work is still terrible. Even for a big fatso. How that guy's been in the world's premier wrestling organisation for so long, nevermind got a world title, is beyond me.

When I saw a house show few years ago I was impressed by Dolph Ziegler's abilities, but repulsed by his cuntish behavior. Seemed like a good wrestler.

Interesting how back in the day Edge and Christian were both tossers and then Edge became this superstar while Christian remained a tosser.

I actually completely forgot she had not competed in what now seems months, or at least on the major shows anyway. I wonder what created this situation, whether she wants to follow a different career path, or simply the WWE no longer deemed her good enough?

I doubt it was WWE's choice. She's still their cover girl and the one that makes the most money for them.

I think she just wanted something different. A lot of the divas are apparently not too happy with current the situation.

Vickie Guerrero's daughter has also left (take your mother too ffs) and supposedly Beth's leaving next month.

Kelly's always been over so WWE don't care she can't run the ropes. As Joel said, she's the most profitable and gets a lot of photoshoots with magazines. In the past few months, she had that one match with Eve and danced to the theme of Summerslam. A great end to her career.

Hunter

It reminds me of an article I read within WWE Magazine itself, in which focused upon what 'spot' of an event was most important, according to the Superstars perspectives. "Is the first match of the evening harder to contest than the last match of the night?"

Some would state they felt having the first match, opening the show in an exciting fashion was critical in setting the standard to follow, thus immediately engrossing the audience. While others mentioned how they perceived the final match to be everything, the main event, the one place every wrestler wants to be, and to ultimately leave the fans on a positive note before they go home.

The Divas however, spoke very differently upon the issue. AJ specifically said "the Divas are a different animal - we're the first Divas match and the only Divas match", which I think sums it up well. They definitely realise how they're viewed by the WWE themselves, which must make it a really difficult working environment I imagine.
