I was always a big fan of pes series, and ever since the release of next gen consoles pes has really lagged behind the competition and even behind the famous pes6
but last year looked promising but unfortunately it was like controling a team of robots, with there stiff movements and 8 directions,
so as you can imagine I am really dissapointed to see pes2011 still seems to have the robotic players and angled movements, why can they not make the player turns smoother, why do they have to be so rigid it really does put me and many others off the game
Man u should wait at least 2 months.Konami is still working on this game, but as usual someone knows better and reviews the game long before it's release.Maybe you can send me your copy of PES 2011? Are you beta-testing it? Most likely you don't, but it's easy to tell stories about how Konami fucked up the game after seeing couple of screenshots and one trailer.

I know its a beta but player movement is the base physics of the game, beta or no beta, if robotic movement had been rectified you would see it in the beta
I hope that you'll be wrong and I'll be right.

I hope so too I really do, because that is the only thing stopping this game taking the step from a computer game to a true sports sim
Did I miss a gameplay video?
Because as far as I know there was no proper gameplay footage released.
Well the E3 trailer looked alot more promising than anything that pes 2010 showed. But still not conclusive.
And those other videos weren't of reasonable quality and not to mention, they were way too early. So why don't we just wait until a proper gameplay footage is released? :)
^ Exactlty and there is ment to be a 1000 new animations so that would surely make it less robotic.

Well, as I know, these same people were spot on in the previous games of this series. The question is, can you blame them after years of what Konami has put on the table? I don't think so.
I am finished with PES 2010 myself. hopefully Split/second will keep me busy for the next few months untill PES 2011 comes out. Yes, I am going to get it, but it's predecessor is thrash.
^^^To be honest, I'm only playing BAL mode, twice a week, maybe three times. Rest of my playing time I spend on RDR and Nba 2k10. I don't blame anybody, cause I'm pissed off as much as you or other fellas, but if you're reviewing game before it's release, then in my opinion it's far too (pes)imistic.

Again,do you blame people for being (pes)mistic? It is fact that Konami has all the sweet talk before the release of the game for the last couple of years year. You also have to ask yourself how long did it take for us being optimistic before changing to being pes(imistic) even before release? We've been hopping along with Konami, not since yesterday but for a very long time now. And as for your comment of blaming people, yes we do blame the people working for Konami, especially Seabass. I believe it is fair.
If manual passing is 360 degrees i will be happy although of course other improvements need to be made. Im growing tired of fifa and the only reason i play it is manual pass.
Although it is still early my impression is that the animations are still crap. Take a look here and you decide. Look at the other players not Messi. They seem to be focusing on his model a lot.
