View Full Version : pay for demo?
hi, not posted for a while after the abomination that was pes10,and as pes 08 and 09 was the game mostly in the console, pes10 never got played after the first month of release so the ps3 took a back seat in my life.....hey ho anyway....
so i heard that the demo was available for pes11 to download, so i go do it, its says "free" in a small grey oval, as i try to download it, it comes up that i've to pay £11.99 for a 90 day membership or nearly £50 for a yearly one,
WTF, when did this happen? and is there a way to download for free?

Just wait till the 15th. Th demo will be available to all ps3 users. It was just a Playstation Plus bonus. Just like the Little Big Planet 2 Beta is a PS+ bonus.
Interesting. I own an Xbox 360 and pay around £30 a year for Live anyway. I heard Sony were introducing fees to the PS3 in order to play online at a "premium standard" but I had no idea it would be so quickly implemented.
i think its just early demos and betas. Not online gameplay ala us 360 users.

It's for extra content/ discounted prices/ get things earlier etc. From how everybody's been talking about the demo it sounds worth it. Plus the free stuff you get
