Glen we seriously need to tackle the created players morale issue!

Its paining my ML experience! Im going to try and base copy them over some free agents! cos unless they are registered at a club, then they get permenant purple arrows for morale, from being created, I think Konami have either F*cked up here or its to stop people cheating in ML with created players!

who could we edit over for Santos & Gremio? that would not be missed.......

ok lets travel back a bit and examine the time line cs this is getting stupid:

you asked me if portsmouth were gonna be included in the first draft of the file i said id try, i then said id make sure theyre in. you asked me if i could use the stats from pes stats database i initially said yes untill i saw how overrated the players stats were especially for a championship side, so i then said that mighty mag would be handling the stats of championship players from then on which he did / has. i promised portsmouth would be in the first draft i also promised fratton park would be included....i kept my word! i didnt promise anything about stats. neither did i say id update the file seperately for you.

Pompey Fan... Bore Off! If you really want portsmouth to be better and use this option file then just update the portsmouth player stats yourself. I created my own home team in the game and did all that myself, i wasnt going to ask glen or mm to do it for me. I understand that from now on if I want to have future updates of g.t.m OF then I will have to create them again but its no biggie... I even started a new ps3 profile and used g.t.m OF and removed the bundesliga and created the blue square premier league in there in my own time because its ridiculous to request someone to do such things just for one person when clearly no one else would want it. if you want this OF appreciate it for what has been done and reccommend things that maybe may be better whether it be certain players or teams with better stats and if the creators dont agree then dont chuck your dummy out

Yeah, you do everything exactly the same....even if you think you're re-doing the same thing over, it's normally an improved file - it takes time, but it's well worth it! :)

In theory, It should work, but to be on the safe side, i'd do the updates separately. mind you, once you've done the first two big installs, the 1.2 will only take a few mins - and for the sake of a few extra minutes, it's worth doing it all properly, judging by the finished article! :)

I have just tried to put version 1.1 on my ps3 when up came up this message when I wanted to copy edit data can anyone help me.

Depending on the game, another user's saved data cannot be used. Furthermore, trophies cannot be earned when playing a game using another user's saved data

You can mate. Here's what I've done with PES 2010. If you're moving the EDIT DATA file, copy it to another username/profile on your PS3, then copy that EDIT DATA from the 2nd profile to your main profile. This way the PS3 understands it is copying from the same system from one profile to another.

Okay i understand why it happens but does anyone know for sure if Konami have either acknowledged this glitch or intend to do anything about it?
Assuming they don't any time soon, is there a work around it that anyone knows of?
Also, on the short term, do you know exactly what players are affected? Is there a list or something so i don't get caught out signing any of these no good bums again? lol.

Btw, option file is great and the best I've ever used. much respect guys!

If its on your usb, copy it to another profile, then go to that profile and copy it to your main profile.

If its on your main profile, copy it to your other profile, delete it from your main profile, go to your other profile and copy it back to your main profile.

You can delete the one in the other profile after your done.

Only edit data, no need to copy every other file with it.

Still working round it! There are some key players & signings that this issue is effecting, I have moved the players around and waiting for them to show up as Free agents, but in my current ML they still do not show? I am waiting to get through another season to check if they appear then, otherwise my next step would be to drop a few classic players base copy the effected players over the classics, then start ML with classics switched on, and see if they show, sign them then see if the morale lifts?

I got this message as well, because I already had an edit data file in my 2nd profile, so i deleted it from my 2nd profile, which is the destination, then copied again and it worked. Great option files guys, excellent work.

I was thinking about the purple arrow situation we've got with created players, my idea for rectifying this would be to use retired players in the classic shop and overwrite there data with created youngsters. Also as there is quite a lot of retired classic players why not base copy players from national teams whos club don't appear in the game over the retired players e.g. Witsel, Defour, Necid, Akinfeev. This making good players available in the master league who wouldn't be otherwise. Also copying some players from the Copa Libertadores into the classic shop e.g. Roberto Carlos, Ronaldo to use up the space.

Thats my idea, whatever you choose to do i look forward to it :)

I got this message as well, because I already had an edit data file in my 2nd profile, so i deleted it from my 2nd profile, which is the destination, then copied again and it worked. Then after copying it to the 2nd profile, delete it from your main one so you wouldn't get the same message, then copy it to your main profile.

Try overwriting just the data file from 1.2 onto the PS3 again - sometimes the game's data version overwrites the option file. it's a common mistake to install the option file on a not yet up-to date game, the trick is to make sure your game say's game version 1.2, data version 1.1 before you install ANY option file....hope it works for you! :)

I have to disagree, I had a difference of opinion with a user in a thread about builds versus scans, and in the end thought i had the upper hand, if I was to do builds I think they would be more accurate than most of the new threads created for build makers, but I find scans always look better, especially in game, in edit or squad they look poor, its in game they work! I had to put the scan naymar up against the build there is no contest!

mates, need help! i'm doing PS2 patches and OF's for almost 5 years and i know a lot. but i got ps3 yesterday and i'm a total newbie- i don't know how to transfer OF to ps3. do i have to download official patch 1.02 and then start transfering this files and what will happen if i do it reverse?
i haven't had time to turn on ps3 but everything still waits for me and i have to check which files are copied to hdd- i want to rename sponsors to real names for ML mode as i did in ps2 patch. too many questions from me for now. please help

I've worked out how to overcome the purple arrow syndrome, its a bit long winded but it works.

Start your master league as normal, go to negotiations and use the advanced search to created players. Start negotiations with the player you want (e.g neymar) after the negotiations are started, immediately end the negotiations. Then exit the negotiations screen. Next re enter negotiations and advance search to free players, the player from the created players group should now appear here, start and finish negotiations as normal. Once signed the purple arrow syndrome should be gone :)

Yep, I used Rosh's one last year and same thing happened. Picked WENB over yours initially cos they kept going on about constant updates throughout the year so it seemed like a safe option. Not that I don't appreciate the huge amount of work that goes into making the file, I do and I could never be arsed to do it all myself.:)

Small suggestion in the name of clarity:
Have you noticed there's 2 Wijnaldum's in the game, Georginio and Giliano(AZ youth). Konami have them listed as 'Wijnaldum' and 'G.Wijnaldum' respectively. Obviously this causes confusion(especially since they're both Dutch, both midfielders, aged 1 year apart and look similar). May i suggest renaming them either full names or as Geo and Gil for the next update?

nah the dlc / update didnt fix the purple arrow problem and to be honest i doubt konami even know about it seeing as they dont pay attention to user feedback.

id assume thatd work, give it a try see what happens.

slight update on whats being worked on at the moment. if like me you hate the fact that konami are absolutely lazy and neglegent when it comes to player appearances then you may like whats coming in the future. we all hate the fact that players run around wearing default / generic boot styles and colours right? well i have begun the process of giving EVERY player their actual boot brand or colour so far ALL premiership and ligue 1 players have theyre proper boot brand or if their boots arent in game ive given them the appropiate colour. i will continue this untill every single players has been done. ive sourced boot types using recent photos on getty images so boot types are accurate. im also in the process of unlocking all classic teams, ve unlocked classic england, france, germany, italy and brazil so far they will feature kits and have plaers renamed also.

He's in the game, but not available in master league as his club CSKA aren't in the game and International players whos club don't appear in the game aren't available to sign. What i've seen happen is after a season of ML, players like Honda, Enyeama, Defour etc will appear in youth squads as youngsters, its random who appears tho, as I unluckily got Hakan Yakin, its a very annoying feature

First of all id like to say great job to the guys who created these option files. Unfortunately I seem to be doing something wrong. I downloaded and copied 1.0, 1.1 & 1.2 files onto the PS3 HDD, but when starting the game I keep getting the message, ‘Unable to load because data is from different version. Download new contents to update data’. Any suggestions/help appreciated, although I did wonder whether copying the files onto a different user may fix problem or not.

fabcnet, have you downloaded the data packs in the extra content menu in the game? You have to have them installed before you put the option file on (the first two anyway, the last one was just boots). You don't need to copy all the files again after doing it, just the edit data.

Everyone who had this problem, I did too.

To resolve it, download the new boots pack from Konami. That overwrites the edit data file from these guys. Then quit the game, copy the edit data file from these guys, overwrite.

Start the game, it will ask if you want to load the new edit data pack (which is the boots pack). Click 'No'.

And it should load up perfect.

I was wondering how one becomes an admin/mod or "pes gaming elite". Most (especially the admin/moderators) do an excellent job, some of the "pes gaming elite" are a joke-doing more harm than good on this site sometimes. Seems this year there's been more degenerates constantly spouting than years past.

EDIT: just saw on the link to the poll that one must have AT LEAST 200 POSTS in order for the vote to count???! WTF?? WOW, my question seems to have been answered, this site gives credit to QUANTITY rather than QUALITY I guess...that's a shame. Wonder what the thinking is having that restriction-200 posts is a lot, and doesn't necessarily make one qualified over many of us below 200 posts. Hey Rainey, props to you for all the time you put in and your contributions to this site and PES. I don't want to come across as blasting you or anything. I didn't even know the poll was out, and as it turns out someone like myself, who has been on this site since 2004, couldn't have voted. So like I've stated previously, QUANTITY is being rewarded over QUALITY, but I do understand it weeds out some that need to be.

I pick my spots to contribute and it's usually just explaining the basics to newbies, so whatever. There are some guys on these boards that post novels bashing PES year in and year out and because of their post count are considered "PES Gaming Elite". That's a whole nother issue for another day however. I guess we can try to let the admins know of the poll confusion and hope the news gets out there more in the future.

Again, thanks for your contributions. You and all of the option file makers are very much appreciated!

Im more than happy with this option file. Its great, got plenty of leagues and even the championship. I love the kits, logos and faces.

My only criticism is the stadiums, but thats more down to the stadium editor limitations which PES offered and not the option file.

I've worked out how to overcome the purple arrow syndrome, its a bit long winded but it works.

Start your master league as normal, go to negotiations and use the advanced search to created players. Start negotiations with the player you want (e.g neymar) after the negotiations are started, immediately end the negotiations. Then exit the negotiations screen. Next re enter negotiations and advance search to free players, the player from the created players group should now appear here, start and finish negotiations as normal. Once signed the purple arrow syndrome should be gone :)

the only way to stop the purple arrow is to transfer the player in question into the team you wish to play with in edit mode before you start the master league. you buy the player for free once you start the ML anyway.

Hey guys, as a mod I thought I'd come and try to clear a few things up about the end of year awards. Firstly, a few of you have mentioned the PesGaming Elite as if it is a private club for established members; it is nothing of the sort. In fact when a member has that blue bar beneath their name it shows only that he has paid for the privilege (you get adverts removed and things like that).

The questions surrounding promotion of the awards and eligibility to vote are important ones which have highlighted problems for us. The End of Year Awards are given their own sub-forum in the Off Topic section (here (http://www.pesgaming.com/forumdisplay.php?f=322)). This is a convenient place to put the polls as most of the members who would vote on the majority of the awards spend most of their time in the Off Topic section. cjkinger mentioned the 6 votes 'File of the Year' got, well for comparison 'Funniest Member' got 29. It has only been recently that we've been giving awards for best option files (I think last year was the first time) and so we just did them in the same way as the other awards. This obviously isn't the best way to do it.

The 200-post requirement was implemented with the focus on categories such as 'Best Member', and surely all of you (even jayscfc) can see that it makes sense to limit categories such as that to the more established on the forum? However, when it comes to OFs, this amount of activity isn't required to make an informed decision, so I sympathise with those of you saying that all should be allowed a vote in the option file categories. It is certainly something I will be recommending for next year's awards.

Jay, I hope that you've read the above and have calmed down. Rainey has done nothing wrong. He won fairly according to the rules. Whether the rules themselves are fair is another matter but as he does not set them, that's certainly not anything to attack him for.

Thanks for clearing some of this up guys. I think what getting only 6 votes TOTAL tells us is there are errors in promotion, placement, and who is ALLOWED to vote. Just because a bunch of people found the poll, doesn't mean any of us could actually vote in the poll because of the 200 post requirement. I truly believe that is the main issue in getting more people to vote.

I agree there probably should be a limit though, because as many have stated, there has been abuse with multiple accounts. I don't know what the limit should be however, because most of the accounts nominating option files were probably in the 15-40 post range...so even going down to 100 posts would keep almost all of those guys out. Is there enough abuse that can't be caught to require a post limit for option files??

I was PMing Mighty__Mag yesterday and I apologised to him on the lack of promotion for the voting threads. I regret not linking the voting threads to the nomination threads. That way, maybe they would have been a lot more votes. My mistake. This is the first time I've done this. A lot of feedback means next year it will be better organised.

I admit, looking back on it, 200 posts does seem a bit harsh for this section. I'm sure it is something that will be looked over for next year, as it doesn't seem a lot of members in the PES section post a lot, even though they do visit a lot.

file is compatible with all konami updates / dlc so far and the boot update doesnt effect the file at all.

sounds like youve missed a few files be sure to check youve copied all fles over.

Check on the spine of the game box (or the disc) that you have BLES20, if so, you have the right game. then make sure when the game is booted up (and you're connected to the internet and signed in) that the game data is up to date (go to extra content and install if not) once all the game data is updated, all you need to do is copy over the system data file, from the option file (assuming you copied over all the other files earlier) and your option file should work....hope that's clear enough for you! :)

Hi guys, first off wanted to say a huge thanks to the guys making these patches, cos its awesome :) and also wanted to ask a quick question. I've been using another patch up til now but fancy switching seeing as this seems to have turned into a monster of a patch. Would it be best to go through deleting all the old patch files first or just stick this on and overwrite any clashing files? I'm guessing either is fine but I'm not so sure and don't wanna mess with things I don't understand :) Cheers!

I have already downloaded your 3 option files, version 1.0, v1.1 and v1.2, first of all i have pes 2011 bles 20 version , all of these option files is compatible with with data pack 2.00 and verison 1.02?

So then, in my pc i have extracted your version 1.2 to version 1.1 then to 1.0 and put all these files into one folder than i will install to my ps3 is this method right? or do i have to install first v1.00 then v1.01 and then v1.02 ?

adamic - I think you're best to delete all the WENB files before copying this one on. You've said you've put 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2 all in the one folder, I wouldn't do that as some of the files in the later updates are updated versions of what's in an earlier one, put each update on seperately (1.0 then 1.1 then 1.2) to make sure you have everything up to date.

Id like to suggest improving D.Gibsons shot accuracy (one of his best attributes in real game) he has lower accuracy than m.carrick and d.fletcher for example, so an increase from 67 to in the region of 70-72. I also feel Gareth Bales shot accuracy could also be improved as he has scored from tight angles this season.
just my opinion others might not see the need for those changes.

Just wondering also if we will be geting some face scans (no rush) for the classic players because they look awful in their current state.

Would you be interested in implementing a few non-drastic changes to the Rangers and Celtic team if they were suggested? There's a few really odd stats for some of these players and instances of Key players rated lower than fringe players and in some cases, really depleted specific stats on some players.

Just thought worth mentioning, when younger players stats are low like Gibson, its due to him developing correctly, Carrick will dip as he ages, and Gibsons stats will gain as he grows & your coaches & staff develop his skills, like if you assign 6 bars to power on gibson for his training you will see over 2-3 seasons he will end up with correct power? thats the idea of the balance?

otherwise, if you bump his shot power up now, it will develop too fast? but I would agree, he does have better atributes in some areas than others!

Note: I usually do not mess with teams stats but I have altered Anderson at Man Utd, as he was WAY over-rated in my estimations, for his age he should develop correctly now,

to add I have started to do a few Classic faces, I need to redo Zidane, theres something wrong with the mouth, Nedved,Beckham,Rivaldo,P.Beard sley, have scans, I plan on doing some more, But get carried away looking for the Wonderkids!!!

The morale issue remains!

Just restarted ML and got to the second window signed, Neymar, Nikao & Marquinhos new additions, to find after all my time spent redoing them all as base players it still remains, I used base players then re created them all form scratch, not just those three either, all the edit data players, this is a real nightmare.......

** Glen** could we ditch Internacional porto alegre, as they are in the game twice, and rename them as Free Agents, then dump all the edit data players there, that way they are registered at a club, and then can be signed without the morale issue?

I can confirm this bug, and i have created a ticket for it.

Indeed the issue is that the "Affection Points" are not loaded correctly(from a saved ML) for created players (they are handled and updated fine while progressing in the ML tho).
Also it seems the program saves the Affection points correctly in the ML datafile but when loading that saved ML, the affection points for any "created" player are reset to 0.


The affection points range from 0 to 0x2710 (10000)..but you'll only see a progress bar in game.

Hopefully this bug will be resolved in the next patch.

Thats just it though, Classics wont turn up with Classics switched on! Cos further up the thread I said I will be overwriting them all with the Free agents & Edit players, so they may only turn up in your youth teams? & only then if you bring them through, I will be making it so Free agents become Classics & vice versa, Then you can sign the best of the Free agents right away!

hey thanks mag and glen this sounds so good i got pes recently had alot of games 2 get so just got it sounds soo awesome alot of stuff so i just re installed winzip and now am downloading the OF and then both the patches to my laptop. i havent done this for about 2-3 years so if i get stuck can someone help me lol? this patch looks sweet like and oh yeah this OF won't make my ML Crash no? beacuse i heard some make that happen? and also should i delete my save or game data before i transfer the OF AND PATCHES? thanks guys.

u dont need to delete anything it over writes it but if u have any edit data on ur ps3 delete that 1st ok m8

thanks dude am putting to usb now and then later on i will do it because am not at my place and don't av internet on ps3 here its so stupid so when i get back will download dlc packs before i do this. was wondering i have started bal but not ml so will these files e.g strips etc carry over to my bal?
