I bought a 17yr old Turkish RB/RMF called Gorkay Urzal (think thats his name) hes developing really well so far (74 overall) and at 17 could end up being world class.

That guy that always wins World Defender of the year, Vandenbuure or something, I cant remember how you spell his name. He plays for one of the made up ML teams with a rating of 90 at 20 years old. Got him for £4m

Santacroce is a good young defender to buy. I have had Kroos on loan for 1 and a bit seasons, he's turning into a belting player. I have Alex Teixeira on loan from Shakhtar, have signed Alaba and Iarmolenko on permanents. All these are good young players. Also K.Asamoah from Udinese.
You just have to look around. Do a search for players aged 16 - 23, there are loads to chose from. You might find someone that nobody else has.

Hazard, young SMF, he's got really good stats, and is really cheap.
You gotta see sum dutch clubs, there are a lot of players who are young, have descent - good stats and grow a lot.
A couple examples:
Lodeiro (ajax)
Eriksen (ajax)
Emanuelson( ajax)
Van der Wiel (ajax)
Van der Heijden (ajax)
Suleymani (ajax)
Wijnaldum (Feyenoord)
Fer( Feyenoord)
Afellay ( PSV)
Dszuckzak (PSV)
Amrabat(psv)
Pieterse(psv)
Babel (Liverpool)
J. Bruma ( Chelsea)
De Gea (athletico madrid)

How do you guys get so many players to agree your deals? Do you have to do something inbetween negotiations?? Cause I just leave mine until it either says they broke down or they have accepted, it's normally break down. Lol :)

You need to hire a better scout and also better club ranking. I was able to made a couple times of agreement on top players like CR, Messi, Aguero, Rooney. But I often turn them down cos the price tag and salary were just overpriced.
On the other hand, focus more on youth players. They will be your gold mines. They may have shitty stats at first but within 3 years they'll make a place for your team at a much lower salary.

Normally I ignore the "List of Targets" suggested by my scout, mostly because the suggested targets are over 25 and I enjoy building up a yound and improving squad, but in the Summer transfer window at the end of my first season I noticed something very odd.
In the list of targets was a 16/17 year old called Duffy, Irish international, who can play various midfield positions, is a DMF by default but has a much higher rating as a full back, and has the pinpoint pass and man marking cards. He had terrible shooting skills but has some stats in the high 80s.
This is strange, as good young players never turn up in this list. When I spotted him I was busy signing some other players, so advanced to the next week to free up a negotiation space. I was save-abusing at this point in order to get a good youth team selection (sorry, I can't handle playing a whole season without any good youth signings at the end).
When I looked, Duffy wasn't there. I went into advanced search and he wasn't there either - he had disappeared from the game. I loaded my earlier save and signed him, and he's turned out to be an excellent player for my team.
Has anyone else experienced this? I decided that the list of targets is designed to be mostly mediocre but very occasionally has a good player in, encouraging players to keep checking it in case a good opportunity comes up.
Either that, or it was a freak occurrence.
Out of interest, I'm relatively new to football fandom, so I'm not sure if this guy is a real player or not. I noticed that in my ML Everton have a player called Duffy, but if he's still playing then my Duffy can't be a reincarnation of him.
Sorry for the essay!

I remember I had duffy in PES2010 he rose from my youth team, and the way you describe him he definitely was the same guy. Played him a few seasons and sold for profit ;)
I at least thought that he is a different dude to Everton Duffy.. Back in PES2010 I used to have duplicate players in ML, Like Maynor Figueroa and Mayl Fedela (unlicenced same guy). This might be the case with your Duffy there I'm not sure.. (That he rose from international teams to youth team).
EDIT: to answer alainvey next post. Players rise from all teams youth teams.. I just got "lucky" to have him from my youth team back in PES2010 :)

I hate the youth teams on PES. Surely in this day and age they should be able to have some proper youth players, rather than recycled real players. With random names, faces and stats etc.
They should be tailored more towards what league you are playing in. For example, if you play in England, you should get more random British youngsters. The chance of you getting foreign talent increases with success.
I REALLY dont want to sign a 16 year old David James.

on PES10 I got this winger from my youth team named Burchett as I played for Real Madrid, at 16 years old he was better than C Ronaldo.
The guy who wins deender of the year Vanderubgh or something along those lines, firstly whatsgoing on here, why have a ake team got such an amazing player at 20? He's like a player from the classic dutch team with those stats!
Zorac1979
28-10-2010, 19:28
Burchett is in the default ML team although he is about 150 yrs old at that point and his stats are very avg. I like his commentary name though, sounds like they are saying "bird shit"
LatrelSpencer
28-10-2010, 19:40
The only thing I think of as being enjoyable from this resurrection thing, is the possibility of creating one of those classic teams from the past.
Example: in an earlier PES I was recreating the Parma team that won the uefa cup.
Buffon, Cannavaro, Veron, Crespo, Fiore, Thuram, Chiesa, etc..
Or recreate the Juve forward of Del Piero and Inzaghi

Babacar
Lukaku
Pacheco
Piatti
Wijnaldum
Albrighton
Hazard
Douglas Costa
Sakho
Piatti probably single handedly got me into the premiership
I bought this guy called Ternalbao and he was about 21 years old when I bought him with a rating of 81. Within 2 seasons the guy was world class (89 overall) and plays like a bootleg version of C.Ronaldo, his speed, agility and responsiveness were in the late 80s/early 90s and he's developed so well and bangs in goal after goal. Definitely a 20-30 goal a season striker.

i think dynamic growth means they get better depending on how much you play them
Palmieri in your youth team!
Start of the second season, Palmieri is soon taking over Kyrgiakos spot on the team in my Liverpool side. Overall 84, he started out with an 81.
Loving him!
I also bought Lukaku but he's yet to shine (and I've yet to learn to use him properly). He's first backup behind my offensive line consisting of Torres and Benzema (amazing attack, I might add).
Aside from Vandebuurd, my ML also has this Goalkeeper with a 95 rating that started out at Gharnetova or whatever the team is called. Manchester United bought him -.-

I am at the start of my 5th season with Celtic FC and iv started the ML by buying good youngsters and slightly older players that i have bought for the last few pro evos. Wijinaldum is a great buy, iv barely played him in this pro but his rating is 92 already, shaqiri from basel is another good youngster with a wicked left foot. Here is a list of some of my players and their ratings_
Palmieri (in youth team at start of my ML and my friends ML both ratings 81 in respective MLs) cb - rating now 104
cristian zapata cb (great signing) - 93
davide santon sb - 99
deklav sb - 93
hamsik cm - 90
ki sueng yeung cm - 88
vincent kompany aka the enforcer DM - 93 (best DM in game doesnt lose an ariel battle lol)
Lukaku cf - 90
juan mata ss/sm - 97
other players that i dont have that turn out good-
vanderbuurd cb - 103
Aaron lennon - 101
the usual suspects aguero messi
honda is brilliant his speed and form aint best but is shooting is umbelieveble....
why can't I find Honda in my ML?
Any clue?

The one guy who has not been mentioned on here yet is stetak (sp?). he's an 18 year old winger who has a rating of 87. can't remeber where i bought him from. he may even be a classic player. not sure.

Deco, Henry, Tote, the old fat Ronaldo (all back from the dead) and Canales. in the fake players there is Nelsor and Galga, they begin on 60-70 and turn 90-100
Elia makes for an amazing winger (on the left side). He's got great accuracy in his dribbling and is quite fast too.
Anderson & Ramsey ultimately become top level midfielders. Huddlestone is very good too.
Walcott, Wijnaldum and Eriksen are a very good investment on the wings up front.
Marcello, Santon, Van Aanholt are great choices for side back position. In previous versions of PES Anita was amazing too, but this time it seems he does not develop that much (independently of his utilization, unless, of course, you're using dynamic development, which i have not yet tried).
Lukaku turns out to be quite a CF.
All the above players tend to remain top for quite some time.

Palmieri in your youth team!
yeah, that guy is a fucking animal. 81 at 16 years old..
there's a couple of nice young players in the youth team and it's kinda unfair when i play with a weaker team and all the youth players are better than the regular team. they need to mix it up

K. Asamoah from Udinese is a good buy. He's not a DM though, but can play CM, AM and LM. He's your typical Ghanaian player - strong, quick, good shot.
Riviere from St Etienne is a good striker. Takes a couple of years to start developing. Has a bit of pace, good dribbler and good shot.

Brockie (Other Club) - Young, good developer, scores and assists alot for me

Try Javi Martinez. He's young and an absolute beast, I was able to sign him for around 1 or 2 million(pre patch). He's a tremendous player
I also signed Lorik Cana as a DM just because I like him. He's a pretty good defender.

Duffy is a legend of the classic ML Youth that used to pop up at various times in older versions of the game in the "Newcomers" section of player search, along with the likes of Bos, Kaiser, Shaw and co. In 2010 ML, the "classic youth" were much more rarely encountered, if ever (with the exception of your starting batch: Palmieri, Shimizu, Sahafi, Schmidt, Schwarz, Kooistra, Jacobs, Oscar, Pelaez, & Kim Jong Yeol), and often not as high quality as they used to be, as initial ratings became heavily dependent on Youth Team and Coach quality, though they did turn up with their "legendary" stats in BAL much more frequently for some reason!
Back when '08 was out, I made a list of ALL of them with development peaks and positions for this site, which you can check out here: http://www.pesgaming.com/showthread.php?t=59922
If you see any of those dudes show up in your player search, don't hesitate to sign them, they're practically always incredible.

As I am just starting PES2011, I am making my recommendations based on PES2010... but there is no reason to suspect it won't be the same now.
Criteria: teenagers in Season 1, market value £201k or less and 'real' footballers, not youth or fake team players
If you play 3 up front the following SS players will not disappoint:
- Villalba and Lamela from River Plate,
- Muniain from Athletic
- Kadlec from Praha
Teenagers with ratings in the 60's, but they will grow with a default roster team and be starters from day one, as you hardly will play Burchets and Castello over them ;-) In 5 seasons these guys can either be a multiple Champions League winning attack or can be sold on for big bucks.
If you want a target man CF to be in the middle, with an SS on either side, Nouble from West Ham will be solid, but won't match the three I have listed above.
Central midfield there is:
- McCarthy from Wigan
- Propper from Vitesse
Both big 'box to box' rangey midfielders that can sit in front of the defense of link up with an SS that plays further away from goal

try buy Idrissou (CF), in age 18 years old he got 86 rating..
Just as an FYI, in my forth season with Ipswich (Gamingaccess patch, includes Championship), Palmieri had a whooping 98 Overall.
He was 20 or 21 at that point.
Got myself the PESEdit patch, which pretty much made Palmieri crap though.
Cameron Jerome (CF) from Birmingham turned out to be quite a beast in offence for me.

I always sign young players ( under 25 ) on the cheap (no more than £5 million for the transfer) then sell them on for a huge profit later. My current Cardiff City team has the following stars:
GK - Perin (Get him ASAP, 19 and one of the best)
CB - Palmieri (obviously) and Ranocchia (great all round)
SB - Marcq (Just been offered £8 for him) and J.A. Fanchone
CMF - Flum and Coutadeur (Barca want him 4 £15 million, turned it down for now!)
SMF - Harmash and Kieran Gibbs
CF - Andy Carroll and Sturridge
Subs (Best of the young 'uns)
Mutch - SMF - 19 from Watford - Will be a beast
Weis - SMF - 17 from Germany - Just IMMENSE, best signing yet!
Giroud - CF - 24 from France - Decent all rounder with a great shot
Has Riveire too but sold him at the end of last sesson for £18 million and a £15 million profit (meant a load of new staff could be hired!)
I think it's very cheap to sign young players because their market values are so low.. I can buy a bunch of good players for pennuts for the younger players.
Anyways players that are great young players:
Javi Martinez- I bought him for around 10 mil and he just grows, teams are offering around 40mil for him now..
Ruskin(Youth team)- Only starts out at 67 but grows alot. I'm currently in the middle of my 3rd season and he's around 77 now but I did basically play him every game.. And he's still growing.. He reminds me of a Phillip Lahm
Mosses(Wigan)- Every time I play with Wigan he grows and he's a talented player

Can someone recommend me a good young striker that develops well? I'm replacing Fernando Torres at the end of the season (provided some club buys him, and they are outside of the Premier League) as I don't want the Judas in my team ;) I have had bids for Higuain, Tevez, Ibrahimovic, Aguero and Chicharito all turned down as they don't want to join my team (even though i'm looking set for the treble of Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League).

my big doubt is the "someone" because i have sturridge and riviere ready to come to my club and i just wanted your opinion...who will be better riviere or sturridge????????????
I'd opt for Sturridge. But sincerly, both are young and talented, so it's up to you. Good luck with that.

dont usually comment but had to when i saw this, martinez is like roy keane and p viera rolled into one , excellent
how has andy carroll only been mentioned once at the end of my 4th season his 99 and still going up
toni kroos is 93 a beast scores and assists
szczesny is 89 with 88 gk skill
sokratis is good cb at 90
Not sure if anyone else has signed this guy, but I have just taken EASTHAM on loan from Blackpool.
He's a CB, I tried to sign him but they wanted to loan him out. He's tall, always good for a CB, and so far has been superb. His rating is around 68ish but with a few games I can see that going up. The only flaw I have seen with him so far is sometimes his positional sense is poor, he has been caught out being pulled into the middle of the park a few times.
Up the other end, he can get on the end of corners and free-kicks. So far he has buried 2 volleys for me, both great strikes, and hit the post/bar a few times.
He might not progress much further but for a cheap option in D2 he's worth a shout.

Villalba from River Plate. He is easy to buy (even if your team is low ranked and you're on D2). After buying him, put him in training to get the "speed merchant"
card and in a couple of seasons he becomes a "poor's man Messi".

I'll just post my whole team, the majority have most likely already been said, but for my third season this is the best team i could possibly have. Theyre all youngens and develop pretty damn well especially the first team.
GK: Perin (84)
RB: Rafael (85)
CB: Palmieri (88)
CB: Jaissle (87)
LB: Fabio (85)
DMF: Javi Martinez (85)
RMF: Gotze (87)
AMF: Shimizu (80)
LMF: Sanchez (80)
SS: Sturridge (81)
CF: Hernandez (88)
Subs: SMF: Hazard (78), RB: Coleman (76), CF: Schwarz: (78), CF: A. Carroll: (78), GK: Fatecha (78), SB: Alaba (82), AMF: Taarabt (77), SMF: Tello (79), CB: Bamba (77), AMF: Eriksen (74), CF: Henry[reborn] (71)
I have Fábio, Fanchione, Coentrão, Javi Martinez, Zarate and Lavezzi.... recently hired Hamsik who is also a class player.
All young, all great players.
Zarate is definitiely the most important player in my team!
If you are looking for a great second striker or attacking midfielder, you really need to see Buabonette or Villalba - they both play for River plate. After a season, they are around the mid 70's however their stats might surprise ya - Villalba will have agility and acceleration around 95 so they are definitely recommended. Also for a CMF, i'll recommend Hamsik of Napoli as he will be 86 in a season and the perfect passer.
For a sideback, ill say Van Der Wiel, Fabio or Rafael, Bale, Vargas, Abate (will reach 93 after few seasons) or N'zogbia
Also, if yoo have trouble buying players as they are always turned down, I recommend you got to team information and search different teams and see who is in the transfer list or loan list. If they are, it'll make it a lot easier to sign players. Also it is really easy to get players on loan - i got messi on lloan when he had a rating od 104!

Candreva, Hamsik, Abate, Arda Turan and Ever Banega are great buys if looking for a yound Central Midfielder.

Why are players ratings going over 100? That's ridiculus.
@ Geordie01
They go over 100 because when they work out the average, by adding all numbers then dividing it, it becomes very low - messi would be probable in the 80's. So now they add i think another 6 or 10 points to their registered position.
Say if terry had 99 defence, 99 balance, 99 stamina, 99 top speed and 99 jump or something around that, his rating would not be 99 bu t probable 109 or something
im in my 3rd season with Man U and my team is as follows:
perin 88
rafael 94
palmieri 98
vidic 91
santon 92
albrighton 83
valencia 99
nani 98
fletcher 85
rooney 91
hernandez 95
try those
Ninis (Greece)
Ballotelli (Italy)
Canales ( Real Madrid )
Bojan ( Barcelona )
De Gea ( Manchester United )

seriously? no one's gonna mention Thiago of Barcelona? In a few seasons he becomes the best all round CMF - He's on 88 for me (about 6 seasons in) but he's still young and developing (haven't got dynamic development on...maybe I should have)
Gambino is great RB/RM. got him at 19 for about 11M - speed, accel, shot acc and power all in upper 90's by the time he's 21/22
At CB Saudi Hearthe turns out to be a beast
