Why Was I Paired Against This Player in MLO?

I bought PES 2 days ago, and decided to give Master League Online a go about 2 hours ago. I made my team as best as I could, but still didn't have anybody above 68 rating in the squad. I had players ranging from 50-68 making up my team.

I'm in D4 (not quite sure what this means), but when I went to Quick Match, it paired me against somebody who was in D2 (again, unsure what this is) but the really stupid part is this... He had the following players in his team:

Christiano Ronaldo
Lionel Messi
Kaka
Ashley Cole
Buffon
Touré
John Terry

And a few more players who outmatched mine by FAR. So not only did it pair me against somebody 2 Divisons higher than myself, but it paired me against somebody with an absolutely ridiculous team. I managed to break his clean sheet anyway, and it ended at 2-1 to him, but I've no idea why it matched me against a team of that rating.

I assumed PES matches you against players/teams who are around the same rating, but I was just shocked when I saw what team I was up against next.

So was this a bug, or should I expect this to keep happening in the future? If so, I really don't understand the fairness in that.

There is an option to only play against similarly ranked players. However there are plenty of bad players who have squads like that in D5 too.

Its cause the matchmaking system is poor.

Maybe they know that you'll be able to bring a vicious fight to that guy.. LOL..

Playing against people with strong teams gives you a shit load of cash though :) I managed a 0-0 against a D1 guy and I got 240K after the game. And often the people from D1,2,3 aren't MLG pro, they just have a good team. Just mark their key players (Usually CR7 or Arshavin)

There is a promotion cut out point that happens on a certain date, when you log back into your MLO team, It will tell you where you are and if your in a promotion spot or not. Kudos on only getting beat 2-1 though mate, that's impressive for a predominantly default team :D

Haha, thanks mate. I was a little surprised myself actually. I don't think the other guy was that good a player though, just had an amazing team.
