Not really, once you get up to a reasonable level you should be ok but it depends how much sprinting you do during a match along with how low your stamina is too.

Yes that is correct, although stamina is a reason for being substituted. When you sign for a club you'll see a match oppertunities percentage meter, the higher this is the more likely you will get to play full 90 mins.

I recently signed for Feyenoord (with match oppertunity being around 80%), not only am i now earning £211k/yr as compared to the poor £21k/yr when playing for Lazio (my last club), since the players are more my level i have never been substituted once in the 8 games i've player for them so far.

The way I see it is that Konami built in a safety mechanism to either blatantly cheat you out of a win in the last 20 minutes..

The percentages of when the AI scores during BAL is high in those 20 minutes your not in the game....

I do admit BAL is significantly flawed as far as the AI goes as well as the fact that you can be the best player and be subbed 60 mins in the game (it usually is always 60 mins), I had a match where I was called up to the England squad, we won 4-0, being the assist for the 1st and scoring the 2nd and 3rd, and I was substituted at 60 mins.

I got a rating of 8 but in the play where this happend the manager comment was at the end of the game was "Simply Awful", I mean wtf was up with that?

I experienced the exact same thing with the poster, and I guarantee that it is not because my stamina. (I checked via check game plan menu).

It happened on my 2nd year (of 4 years contract) season with Sevilla. Fortunately I then got offer from Barca (!), and after couple of game I managed to ditch Gourcuff from the starting lineup, replaced by me :D

Konami's way to make the game more "challenging":

- Fuck up shooting to a point that the player takes 5 steps b4 he can shoot and the AI has time to defend (till 2009 it was fine)
- Sometimes you tap the shoot button and the ball goes over the goal, next time you shoot from a further distance..same tapping more or less..and STILL the ball goes OVER..so no way of a realistic timing regarding shooting distance ratio (going on for years now )
- Passing takes a bit used to and might add some dimension IF the players didn't STOP when they started their run and you just pass into space ( going on for years now )
- The AI defend can OVERPOWER you and you dont have any ability to counter ( since 2010 gotten worse this year )
- Your defender don't know the basics of defending and simply just RUN besides the AI attacking or simply stand there, taking into account your defenders are Terry & Ashley Cole.(going on for years now )

- Referee's ....enough said(going on for years now gotten MUCH worse)

- 60 - 70 minutes subbs..(going on for years now and getting annoying now )


and so on......

If that's the way to make it more challenging for me as a consumer than Seabass is full of it...

I hate seeing people moan about the shooting simply because they still haven't come to grips with it or understood the system. ou can tell me I'm wrong and all, but I'm not, because you're here moaning about the system, which proves you're missing something within it.

Body balance is a key. Pace is a key. Position is a key. All of these factor in shooting, just like they do in real life. You need to control it rather than letting it control you. Calm and precise is a key, rather than panicing and not attempting to be smart and think for a second. I've seen enough people moan about the shooting system, yet I've seen the same amount understand the value of it and how to slowly master it. Some people just haven't bothered to try to come to grips with how the shooting and even passing system works and thus that's why you're largely failing at it on regular occasions. Tell me I'm wrong, despite the fact that I'm not. Not hating in you or saying you're a bad player or anything, I'm just saying this is the reason why you're having these problems.

And PLEASE can we stop with the pathetic Seabass insults. We get it, some of you hate him and have weird fantasies in your head of people licking his ass or some pathetic nonsense, no need to keep going on about it.

First of all I NEVER said i hated the guy..I DO think he doesn't have any respect for a fanbase that have been loyal to him for the past few years..

Every football game I know of have had something within it that doesn't usually happen in real football, doesn't make it shit. This game has some flaws, it'd be stupid to claim it doesn't, but for me the positives by far outweigh the negatives. Can this be improved? Without a doubt, every game can be improved upon, barring the odd classic or two. I still find it ridiculous as to how shocking the rating system after games are in Pro and it's been like that forever, where you almost need to score six goals to get a rating of 9, just a little niggling thing for me. This game has some down points, it has some moments of madness with defenders doing stupid things, but overall none of these things ruin the game for me, a game that is still Pro all the way through, a game of hard work, a game of realism, a game that feels like I'm having a proper match just like Pro has always felt.

I hate it when people say 'I've been playing games since forever' or 'I've been a fan since ISS' as if to indicate that makes your opinion or knowledge better than others. Actually for some reason on Pro the player ratings are always from 5.0 to 8.0. I think this system is stupid in the first place but then what's even more stupid is the way in which it's calculated. The game seems to judge a player based on how much of the ball he touches and how how accurate his passes and shots are overall, but there are so many variables involved with these that it can easily be cheated.

Once when I was playing, my winger was running down the flank and I stopped to turn back and whip a cross in but then I realised that the defender wasn't even trying to dispossess me, he was just trying to block my cross while standing a good 3-4 yards away from me. So I just ran forward and back outside the penalty box about 20 times to see whether the guy would even make a challenge, would you believe it the guy never once attempted to come even a centimetre closer to me. At the end of the game that player got a rating of 8.0 even though he didn't set up or score any goals, it was just because of all that cheap dribbling I did.

Anyway, good on you to leave that argument alone. The problem with debating with someone like him is you both have totally different motives in the argument. You're trying to keep it as civilised as possible while he can't take someone disagreeing with his opinion so has to resort to cheap insults, all because he just wants to be right without giving a damn about facts or plain logic for that matter.

I didn't find shooting to be particularly bad, although I've had cases where (in ML) I am under pressure to find a goal in situations where I am either 1 goal down or draw, and my shots just goes all over the place whenever I get into the box. While this is frustrating (and I yell at my monitor a lot for that), it does reflect on team mentality in real games, and is actually quite enjoyable in retrospect. It's kind of like a feeling when after winning a game, you sit back and think about it, it's like "Gez, did I just shout like a mad monkey for a virtual football match?".

Reading is fundemental...I said that if you buy a game based of the sweet talk given to you by the LEAD DEVELOPER and it turns out to be false, ..that BS.

Plus when I bought the game and the ones before..it had some issue's but you still were able to adept a bit and work around it..I'm not the one to return the game after 2 matches..that's bs..but this one right here...even if you tried to adept to the newly implemented "realism", there's too much shit going on...and I don't know a shop that will take a game back after nearly a month of purchase...

Although I would say that this is also normal in football games (just look at Man U!), I won't for PES 2011, simply because it's happening too often and on teams that aren't even good to begin with. The only way I have to defend against these last minute goals is to flood the midfield with players.

I usually play a 4-3-3 formation with 2 SS and 1 CF up front. If I am only leading by a goal or two with 10 min remaining, I would immediately switch to a 4-5-1 formation and playing 2 DMF and 1 CMF, and pulling 2 SMF all the way back to flood the midfield in an attempt to prevent the other team from boxing me in in my own half. It usually worked in my case, so I didn't have as many last-minute horrors as you have experienced.

If the majority of your posts are filled with smilie images and lols, then it shows your just some immature kid that finds it difficult to articulate their point without using emoticons and debate in a coherent manner. I think this is the first post where you’ve managed to make some sense without the excessive use of images and lols.

Also only head cases laugh all the time, as they are not able to behave appropriately in certain situations. Err wrong on both counts, not all Ugandans speak English son and many of them who come over here that do are not fluent in English anyway. As for my job I don’t work for a company I work for the government authority itself. And yes it does require having good social skills, which I excel at otherwise I wouldn’t be trusted in the position that I am in customer services. But being good socially doesn’t mean you allow and take shit from customers, this isn’t like working in toys r us or your grubby local supermarket. They're not doing us any favours. You got to have respect for yourself and be firm; we’re not the public’s lap dogs at the end of the day. I dont think its anything to do with Stamina or your rating, its just random that in some/most games you get subbed off around 60-70 minute mark.
It can be annoying but its not a game breaker, it can help because your fatigue stays low.
