just started online and need a good solid formation.
i try to play the arsenal style of pass and move and
in quick match i select Tottenham, trued 4-4-2 in 3 lines
but seem susseptable to uper teams through balls

Was thinking just using Lennons place and a single striker
with 5 in the middle, not sure of the formation in the middle

will that be any good, lennons acc and power are poor though

I use VdV - Defoe. VdV as a SS and Defoe as a pure 'boxstricker'

From playing around 250 odd matches, I noticed that 9 out of 10 players use the 4-3-3 formation, all be it, with slight variety. Usually, their style of football is cheap, desperate, lackadaisical, and at times, utterly diabolical. They either try for dear life to get a through ball or 1-2 as soon as they can, or try to exploit any loopholes in the game like a vile fetish. For this reason, I refuse to use this conformist formation.

I prefer variants of other formations. They provide room for experimentation, yet at the same time enable me to win. I could go for the now obtuse option and play the easy 4-3-3, but why? The now commonplace of the 4-3-3 system may provide a brief moment of glory within the short-term, but wouldn’t you agree that sometimes a long-term strategy is more beneficial than short-term tangibles?

Now, I am not by any means claiming to be a paragon of virtue in regards to how football is played, but at least I try to play decent football with some imagination and not follow what every Tom, Jack and Harry are doing.

‘Tika Taka’ football anyone?
