PESTAL (the person) is also known as Calculus and is one of the top PES players I know. Plays as Holland and kicks ass.

And he runs the PESTAL tournaments which should be back again soon. If you're in or near London, you should check them out.

I'm still meaning to go down to one.

Just to check out the scene, not even necessarily compete, but I'd probably change my mind by the time I get there.

Cool. There haven't been any for PES3 yet. I'm sure he'll let us know when they're back on.

I think the main reason I've never been to any is because I didn't fancy turning up alone. Now I've found a couple of mates who are up for it as well, we'll be there every time.

In his own words: "An excuse to play ISS? That's just lookin' for me to fail my exams."

Nifty, I went up there by myself and had a great time. Now I consider myself to be friends with the organiser and some of the other regulars and have seen them at other tournaments since.

It can be down to attitude. Some guy went down and boasted about how amazing he was at PES2. He lost all his league games and barely scored. The worst performance I've ever seen. Maybe it was nerves, maybe he didn't have enough practice playing against other people. But he never turned up again. Which is a shame.
I've had my bad days too - but I put them down to being unfortunate with form arrows and not picking a good enough team and I always came back ready for more punishment. My level improved quite a bit and I can challenge most of the good players around.

Hopefully the PESTAL tournaments will be back on sometime soon and you'll see how cool it really is :)

I don't plan to go down their boasting. I'm very sceptic about the whole idea of me actually getting a shot on target throughout a tournament. I imagine everyone to be quality at the game, and whilst I consider myself good at the game, there are mates of mine who can beat me etc.

I don't know though - maybe me and my group of mates are all class at it. ;)
