Hi, just want to share that after getting the next C. Ronaldo during end of my first season, I just got the next Messi as well :) after upgrading my youth team.

What the F**k!!?! you lucky bugger, I never get these on my main ML and i have my youth team investment to max, i might get a player who is high 70s but never a 17 year old who it's as good as this dude. Congrats though mate.

Just have patience and save just before your youth team re-generates players think it somewhere 3-4 weeks before the new season. Got this messi on my 3rd reload.

The best I get is a goalkeeper rated 72 , ill need to try the reload method.

If using reloading is consider a cheat, then PES should have removed the function to be able to load.

I saved my game literally the week before the season ended and the youth players generated were all the same bar one - the 'good' one. (maybe proof you dont need to waste 3/4 weeks?... were all your players different or just one like mine?)

So i kept reloading and alternating between the 'next cech' and others before i eventually settled for Henry!

On a previous game I got the next c. ronaldo at the end of the first season - an absolute beast he was!!

When exactly do they regenerate? Is it when the new season starts or is it a bit before it?

they regenerate on the first half of the first week of last month of the season. Week 1, first half in July, if i'm right...

I decided to try this reload technique and it doesn't seem to work for me. I actually made separate saves for every week in June prior to July when the new crop of youth arrive. It doesn't matter which one I load or how many times I try to reload, I just keep getting the exact same shite players.

I am fully maxed for coach, scout etc. It's sad as I actually seemed to get better youth players before when my coaching levels were lower. I wonder if the updates have added something to prevent reloading? Thoughts?

I make the save on the 2nd half week 4 Jun.
That will be the time whereby you will be receiving your second half merchandise sales etc. Normally it will take about 5 loads to get a youth player resemblance of some big players, sometimes it will take me about 10 loads to get one. Depending on your luck, i got this messi on my 3rd loading. After getting the next Ronaldo the brazilian one OVR 95 at just the tender age of 16, so I now have a new dilemma if i should take this messi or the Ronaldo.

I would say go for which one is needed more in the squad... if you have many strikers then go for the Messi one, if you have too many wingers go for Ronaldo.

I made an effort last night to try this again and finally was able to make it work! I reloaded from a save in the very last week of June. It took probably about 13 reloads and then I finally got an incredible CB/SB stated to be as good as Carragher. 16 years old with an overall rating of 83 with very high defensive stats and decent in the other areas. Obvious he will end up being over 100 eventually. He also had all the key defense cards like defensive leader, marking, covering plus a few others like Long Throw.

I am not sure if this made a difference, but if anyone else is having challenges, it may be worth a try. Initially it seemed like the computer was "stuck" and kept giving me the exact same guys and stats. Then I tried doing a bunch of things right before I proceeded. For example, i adjusted some training points on some guys, added some players to scout list, added a few guys to transfer list etc. This seemed to get the computer to think again and I got this guy. For fun I reloaded again and got a fairly good AMF, but not as good as the CB. It didn`t do it every time after, but doing some extra stuff did seem to help. But then again, who knows.

I have a next C. Ronaldo the earlier season. I got him at age 17 and his OVR was 82. By end of the season, his OVR becomes 88. Not all next super stars are good. I got D Milito, Puyol, Van Persie for example, their stats are really trashed. So far the best next superstar I got is Ronaldo, OVR is 95 at age 16.

Yes its possible on 360. Just save after the last game of the season. The youth players appear on the same day as the team rankings come out. Keep reloading until you get someone good. I have got

Alves
Torres
Febragas
Chelini
Ballack

and turned down many others that my squad didnt need.

Very happy to see that you guys are getting great players :). Yes its possible on 360 PS3 as well. To me this method is the best method on cutting cost and making money and its more fun as well since those players are normally unknown but they turns out better than those prominent star players.

Yes, but it only really works for a short while, after a few years in master league, (for me at least) they totally dried up. I would reload upwards of 20 - 25 times, and best I'd get would be a Garry Neville wannabe with 1 green stat and the rest white, overall about 61. My last one was a Gillardino - 69, pathetically slow, no use to me at all.

I am finnishing my 9th season soon, and I have gone with 3 "reminds me of.." players:

Vermuth - C.Ronaldo - started 86 - peaked 103 - just started going down age 28
Richard Garcia - another C. Ronaldo - started 87 - peaked 102 - not going down yet (age 28
C. Lucarelli - Luis Fabiano - started 78 (age 15) curently 98 age 20 and still rising.
