I know they aren't the best in this game, but if anyone has got any ideas to who I could buy it would be great.
Just to say Im looking for a Strong, powerful CF that can hold up the ball well, like A. Carroll because I can't really find anybody that would do this job.
Although I have picked up Modeste from Bordeaux who seems to do well when linking with Agbonlahor.

I've found Mitroglou to be quite useful. Not sure if he's "classic" enough though.
How about Carew?

Mitroglou plays for Olympiakos.
I have Dembele for my team. He's not exactly your typical classic CF, but he's strong and quick, with great all-round ability.

My mate put my reserve goalie as a striker in my team whilst I was going for a piss ... the bastard!
Suffice to say I couldn't work out why my left sided forward was such a pile of shat until I recognized his name! Bobadilla?! Thats the fucking goalie!

He only admitted to it recently as well the smug get. Another CF worth buying - purely for MLO - is Alan Kardec, cheaps as chips with 80 for jumping and heading. Although he has fairly poor other stats he regularly scored headers for me.

Pato is not a classic CF at all. CHamakh is great for that role imo. another obvious one is Crouch.

Yeah, Chamakh is pretty useful. I quite like Iaquinta.

Giroud who starts at Montpellier I think is a great CF, get him early enough and shouldnt be too expensive. My player growth was set to dynamic though so might be different if its on normal, otherwise the ones like Lukaku, Pazzini,,,,some lad at Brugges, think its Akpale or something,,,he's good :)
I've bought Sverkos on MLO, a good cheapy starter option if you're playing direct and set piece football ... although his shot accuracy is 67 (say whaaat?) he is a great battering ram.
Good pace, response, stamina, body balance and jumping skills. Something strange I've noticed is that CF's I've bought with heading stats higher than their jump stats always get beaten in the air, doesn't matter how tall they are yet players with higher jump than header seem to win everything! Sverkos has lower heading than jump but wins every ball in the air.

because Jump increases their chance of actually getting the ball while heading makes it more powerful/accurate
Indeed but when you have giant up against a smaller player it does seem a little off sometimes :)

How about Andy Carroll? His market value is low, and he's very young. He starts at overall 70 but he will improve a lot.

My ideal formation is a 4-4-2 with one centralized CF. For me also I need a big CF who can shield the ball and he has to be very good at heading (I believe 80% of my goals are from header).
My ML team cannot afford big names, so I found 3 guys who are cheap and have those characteristics:
- Schwarz: he becomes a score machine. He's tall, good header stats and body balance. Besides he can shoot with both legs.
- Andy Carroll: pretty much the same as Schwarz. After 3 seasons his body balance is > 90!
- Abreu: he's one of the first to retire and one of the firsts to reborn as youth. He's tall and with good body balance and header stats. I haven't played a lot with him because he's too young now, but he looks promising.

the overal ratio of carrol in the game is not the real ratio in pes. i have been using pes stats database to fix some overall ratio. and his ratio is 83.

Maybe a bit, but so are many others.
You could buy N'kufo, or Di Santo from Wigan who is 1m 94cm. Or what about Christoph Samba the blackburn defender - he is surprisingly a CF because of his height and balance of 95. You could also buy Cavani or Dzeko who are quite tall

Nkufo is as good as Caroll....on my 5th season now Nkufo overall rating is 109 while Caroll 106 and still increasing...

I'm guessing that's a fake, youth team Nkufo? But what about Carroll? Did you improve his stats yourself because I've played more than 5 years and he's nowhere near that good.
One of the things that annoys me on this game is that players develop better with you than they do with an AI team.

Cardozo is a great CF... plays for Benfica... 1,93 83 Attack, 86 Balance, 84 Shot Acc and 86 Shot Pwr.
He is very good heading and shooting skills... won't out-pace anyone, but he's a quality CF.
His long range shots are also a must.

I have Luis Fabiano, he is now 26, overall rating is 97, his shootacc,
shot technique and headeracc are all over 90. He scores long rangers too.

When I used to pick Fiorentina (back when I used to play online), I'd often bring Babacar on as a replacement for Gilardino. Sometimes it was if Gilardino was being a bit shite, other times it was just to see out the match. Nevertheless, more often than not he made a decent impact.
what about sow from lille holds the ball well and his stats arent bad
