Perhaps because he hasn't been paying attention during the whole game, but now it's the last day, he wants to look as if he's done something, so he can take all the glory like he did in Mafia Wars 2.

Jeepers above lads, it's pretty obvious who the remaining villain is and I will put money one it too. For starters it's not me, so forget about wasting your lil time trying to pin me down for the role.

Let me point you in the way of our dear friend Bammers! Carefully read through his last 10 posts and you will see that he is just going through the motions, he has also called me out again with not a shred of evidence and in the same night called for the lynching of Smudger (who I knew was always Texan) just to tie the game over and waste a vote.

I won't lie to you all when I say that I will be disappointed if I don't live to the end of the the game after not putting a foot wrong in the entire game.

OK, I'm under a bit of suspicion... fair enough.

Considering that Dale was working on his own, and I defended him, why would I do that if I was a bandit?

1) Dale "revealed" me to be texan. I know now that this was an obvious attempt to get me on his side. But because he revealed that, it made me believe him a little more.

2) If I wasn't a texan, after his "reveal".... surely I would have known he was lying and voted for him straight away?

3) Regardless of what Dale's role turned out to be, if I was a bandit, it would be in my best interest to lynch him.

Because he could have been telling the truth. If he was telling the truth and was Pinkerton, you defending and saving him would have made him feel more positively towards you. Therefore he would not have investigated you that night and would not have uncovered the fact that you are the last remaining bandit.

Perhaps, when everyone votes, it'll become clear who this mystery person is.

For what it's worth, I agree with you that it's TH14, who's 'invincible', because, of the two special role Texans you've investigated, Matt's already said he's a bodyguard and the other is TH14.

On the other hand, didn't Sminky say that, at some point, he would introduce a new role, so perhaps one of the Texans from your earlier investigations may now have that role?

Anyway, I see people are voting. I've already spoken on why I'm suspicious of Dundon's and I found this rather strange as well:

Papa - I've come under quite a bit of suspicion in this game. I have also suspected you on quite a few occasions. So why haven't you investigated me? I find this odd, because if I was in your shoes, and someone was acting suspicious AND called me out, I'd investigate him.

Well for the first three investigations you weren't really on my radar. Then Phats and Bish came along and I was pretty sure they were Dalton but needed to check. For the last two investigations (Matt and TH14), it was either you or them I could go for, and I thought they were the more suspicious.

I see there's a lot of you buying into Bams horse shite theories, tut tut. Anyways I'm out to celelbrate the victory I and I hope to return to another one in the form of a Texan win later tonight when I get back.

Papa asked me to vote Bam and Ali which sounds about right to me due to the fact that you all trust papa. That said, I'll have to leave you with these last words. I am a basic townie, I do not know why I am a suspect, lynching me will only hurt the odds of winning. Voting for any body else bar me is the best way of increasing the odds of catching the remaining bad guy.

All I can say is that I'm a regular Texan. I may have died a couple of times along the way, but, throughout the game, I've been fighting for the Texan cause, so that we may at long last win a game. Even today I've put forwards my suspicions of Dundon's, thereby being brave and taking risks, when I could've just cowered back and only defended myself. This, of course, made Dundon's suspicious of me, but I expected that - he did that last game, as well, and he wasn't a townie then.

In addition, when the possibility of finding out Smudger's role from Sminky came about, I was one of the one's calling for Sminky to reveal his identity and remove him from the game. Surely if I was the one with the 3rd party role, that would be a ludicrous thing to do, as it would hugely cut my chances from 2/4 to 1/3?

Personally, I believe that Dundon's is the 3rd party and Ali is the townie, so I'd rather not get rid of Ali, but I have to pick 2 out of the 3 of us, and I know I'm not the 3rd party member, so Dundon's and Ali it is.

I admit that Ali hasn't done much to suggest he's not a Texan, but he has done some possibly suspicious stuff. Firstly, remember in Mafia Wars 1, he said he wasn't sure what to say, at first, well, at the start of this game, he didn't say much (I know he was at the Bolton game) but in the days afterwards, you'll see that his posts were few and mostly completely non-committal, this indicates to me that he had a 3rd party role and was still getting to grips with how he should use it.

Then there was his defence of Dale, when he was about to get lynched. When Dale announced he was a Pinkerton, you, me and Fick immediately realized he was talking bollocks, however, Ali, who would've perhaps thought he might be a Pinkerton, immediately defended him, perhaps hoping to gain favour with Dale, so that, if he wasn't lynched, Dale wouldn't hypothetically investigate him. Even when it was pretty clear Dale was a 3rd party member, Ali still defended him, probably because he realized that if another 3rd party went, we'd all be looking for just one the next day. In the end, Ali did vote for him, but it was like a minute before the deadline - surely that is suspicious as well?

I still believe Dundon's is the 3rd party member and I'd happily offer myself up as a sacrifice, if I was sure Ali was a Texan, but I've still got this nagging doubt about Ali and I don't understand why we should risk lynching me, a clear Texan, instead of Ali, someone who's given us reasons to be suspicious, just because we're sure that Dundon's is a 3rd party member.

Bammers, this is complete bollocks! Read a few pages back, where I quote the paragraph where Dale implied he had investigated me, and showed me to be Texan..... this is why I thought he was telling the truth.

One more note. At the start of the game, I was quiet because (like I mentioned) I went to a mate's house for a couple of days. Now, knowing that Sminky isn't random with his role giving.... would he give an important bandit role to someone who would be away for the first couple of days?

During that time that person cannot kill you. You will not learn the allegiance of any gun owner you confiscate the weapon from.

- Wanted, Following a night investigation – but only to the maximum of twice during the entire game - you can choose to put up a Wanted poster of the person you investigated. The Town will be told that a bounty has been placed on that player. In that event all previous votes for any other members will now be assigned to the player on the wanted poster. The Town will need to decide whether to lynch or save the player at 9:50pm when voting closes. If the player is lynched and revealed to be a bandit a random Texan will be assigned to join the Pinkertons (You are allowed to talk at night to your Pinkerton recruits) In the event the member lynched is a Texan you will lose your investigative powers for 24 hours. If you yourself face lynching this is a good way of saving your own bacon by forcing the town to focus on someone else.

- Pretty in Pink, on the 4th day of the game, and providing you are still alive, you can revive a killed Texan. At that point they will join the Pinkertons.

What happened at the end was the very reason why we knew killing someone who is influential in the game would be a bonus. For you then to be revived due to a few people not being bothered with the game anymore pretty much messed up our whole plan.

Tbh, I do really think the town deserved to win this one and I was actually quite sad that I had to play for myself, rather than for them. But, nevertheless, Sminky gave me that role and, therefore, I tried my hardest to win with that role though.

In a sense, it is a shame though, as Papa and a few others deserved a win from this.

I just can't believe that someone would change their vote just like that. That's my main gripe, not anything you have done.

I also do take some responsibility. Not saying I was phenonmenal or anything, but anyone quitting does change the balance of the game. It wasn't something I really wanted to do, but I was just so angry with everything that happened.

Perhaps not one of the better games, but in my opinion it had the most exciting finish.

My suspicions were Ali or Bammers, but Ali was less suspicious because he was taking much more risks than Bammers who was employing the same tactic that he always uses. I wanted the 3rd party to win, therefore I am quite pleased with the result.

Just a suggestion, I think it could be a cool role to have a *dictator* role, in which a pro-town character can choose four characters to vote against one character, and the characters who have been "persuaded" by the dictator cannot unvote on it, and the dictator himself must obviously remain anonymous, I think it is a role that could possibly add a new dynamic to the game.

Also, the amount of people who can be persuaded by the dictator must be reduced if we only have a total of eight players left on the game.

It could be done for the next game, in which Sminky is thinking of playing with a lot of mafias and just a handful of townies, if one townie had such a role to dictate votes which cannot be unvoted.

I didn't read the whole thing, I think I will eventually, but I just read from page 60 or so. I really enjoyed the finish because I couldn't make my mind up between you and Bammers, though I would have voted for Bammers.

I started reading at the "smudger incident", though to be fair it is unfair to blame it all on smudger, and to be fair, the private message from DF was one of the funniest things I've seen in the mafia wars. The pictures really add that bit more to the game.

I had some good ideas for some underhand tactics in the first MW game (when I was mafia), but in the end, we decided it was a bit too devious and unfair, so we left it.

Poor Smudger, I don't think he has been on the site since that day.

I've just read through the entire Great Wild West War (albeit skimming some pages), and it's been such good fun.

I think, just how upset people got, showed how engrossed they were within the game. It really was brilliant, and one of my favourites, for sure - partly due to selfish reasons, as I adored my role of Jesse James. The deception of the 'signature' of Dragonfly, which ultimately led to erratic Dalton Gang voting, and my horrific death, followed by the shock in everyone's posts after finding out it was me, the accuser, who was indeed Ol' Jesse James.

However, the "I promise" line will be echoed for years to come. History was made. :lol:
