I heard some idiot on the radio tonight saying that his 'soucre', tells him that Zidane could be coming to Rangers.

Sionko sounds as if he is a good player from what I have heard, however I'll reserve my opinion of him till I see him in your shitty shirt.

I've heard the Zidane rumour a couple of times, which is people going a bit too far on Paul Le Guen's revolution. I haven't heard much about Sionko so would wait before my opinion on him. And our shirts are better than yours.

Sionko cant be anything special, hes only in the Czech backup squad..

I heard Zidane was coming to work in the 'background' at Ibrox aswell. He said himself he wants to stay with Real after he quits playing.

Cannot wait for the start of next season and I believe Paul Le Guen will win us some trophies but the Uefa Cup might just come too soon. There is a lot more quality teams in it than the last few years.

Please rate this Gers video and let me know your thoughts.

You got to think about teams like Middlesbrough, who are in the bottom half of the table. Last years semi-finalist Parma, who just escaped relegation. Strasbourg getting to the last 16 and even put out a weak team because getting out of relegation was more important (even thought they have been relegated). I don't think there will be many teams that could threaten us in the Uefa Cup.

Its looking stronger than it has for the past few years but I still think that we should be able to compete after Christmas. I still would be happy with the quarter finals as long as we win the league, I know some people expect us to win which is taking it too far in my opinion.

Rangers have signed up promising French 20-year-olds William Stanger and Antoine Ponroy from Rennes.
Midfielder Stanger and defender Ponroy have no first team experience in France but new Ibrox manager Paul Le Guen believes they can blossom in Scotland.

"I believe we can improve their level and we will try to help them do that," Le Guen told the club website.

"Now they have the chance to develop at Rangers and I'm sure they will progress by working hard every day."

Le Guen had a spell at Rennes before moving to Lyon and is currently in Portugal with assistant Yves Colleu watching the Uefa U-21 Championship.

The French signings follow the recruitment of South African teenager Dean Furman and experienced Czech midfielder Libor Sionko.

Keep em coming Le Guen.

We have now signed Karl Svensson for an undisclosed fee from Gothenborg. He is 22-years-old defender who has captained his former team and will be part of Swedens World Cup campaign. He has been rated as one of the best young talent in europe and I am glad that Paul Le Guen has picked up on someone of this potential. Especially a defender, that was the worse part of the 05/06 team.

He looks good. Swedish WC squad at 22 for a centre back is quite an achievement and he was made captain of his old club after only a year. Can't wait to see how well he does under PLG and in the SPL.

Ronald Waterreus will leave Rangers unless the club improve their contract offer to the Dutch goalkeeper, according to his agent.
The 35-year-old is keen to stay at Ibrox but wants his future sorted out by the beginning of next week.

Kees Ploegsma told BBC Scotland: "Ronald's first option is Rangers but there are other clubs interested.

"If Rangers are not prepared to negotiate then I think Ronald will have to move on."

Le Guen's budget belief

By Adam Marshall - Created on 5 Jul 2006

Rangers boss Paul Le Guen is prepared to battle against the reality of a tight budget at Ibrox.

The Frenchman has already tried to make his mark on the SPL outfit and is pressing ahead with his transfer plans as Lyon's Jeremy Clement prepares to seal a £1 million switch from Lyon.

Le Guen is fully aware of the expectations of the crowd at Rangers and is relishing the challenge.

"We lack two or three important players but, before the beginning of the championship, we will try to get them," explained the Gers boss.

"We have a small budget but never mind. We will try to do our best with the money we have.

"I am totally aware of the pressure and we know the fans want to win every game.

"It is the same at every club.".

Hope Ricksen is on his way out. Absolute arsehole. Getting pished and fighting with a stewardess is one things - even though he was suppose to be off the bottle. But to turn around and say Le Guen was harsh? Probably because Alex McLeish has let them do what they want, until a proper manager comes in with a new regime and he thinks he's being harsh.

More than happy to see him out of Ibrox.

He had a good season in 2004/2005 when again we won the league on the last day. 2005/2006 he lost his form and was at the back of the line with Brahim Hemdani ahead of him in midfield and Alan Hutton ahead of him at right back. Well, mainly yes, we basically have no other choice. (our squad isn't that big at the moment.)

A few players from the youth team also got a run-out for us, so not full strength as you would say. Add to that the squad still isn't 100% fit, and we were also missing 2 first team players today.

If both teams were at 100% fitness and fully trying I would have expected us to win, we do actually have alot of decent players.

Another thing, as you may or may not have heard, probably not, we haven't even sorted out our managerial position at the moment. Just quickly scan this article to see what I mean:

I'm almost certain Joe Miller will be the new manager. He is actually the one training the squad at the moment. I think Roberts will get the boot/leave eventually, I believe its taking so long because there are lots of legal issues to be sorted out, basically so Roberts can't sue Clyde for unfair dismissal etc.

I really hope its sorted out soon though.

Ashame if true. Sebo really wanted to come here and we need another striker. However, I am glad that we won't be bullied to pay for players above there value.

Thing is, Dado Prso is good but he is more of a supporting striker. If Kris Boyd was to get injured, who would replace him? Nacho Novo? I do have faith in both Kris Boyd and Dado Prso, but we do need another goalscorer. That was definitely one of our major problems the first half of the season before we got Kris. I also have faith in Le Guen finding another target at a valuable price.

More news. Jose-Karl Pierre-Fanfan is keen to stay at Rangers. I was one who was for Pierre-Fanfan to get another chance, since he was unfairly played out of position and looked bad to the fans and the media. However, he hasn't impressed me recently when moved into central defense. Even when he got the rare game against Livingston which he almost cost at the end. I would have prefered another centre back. Probably won't matter because it seems it will be Svensson and Rodriguez at the back.

I'm still very optimistic about our season.

Surely that can't be right.

Steven Smith should be 3. Thomas Buffel should be like 7 and the number 4 to a defender - like Rodriguez.

Where did you get the numbers?

Also, need a little help on finding out Makhtar N'Diaye's previous club.

[QUOTE=rangers website ] Thomas Buffel's goal has given Paul Le Guen victory in his first match at Ibrox as Rangers defeated last season's UEFA Cup finalists Middlesbrough 1-0 this afternoon. The Belgian frontman netted the only strike of the game after 45 minutes and overall it was an impressive day's work for the Light Blues, who now prepare to face Bolton behind closed doors on Tuesday.

After just four minutes the home fans were given a glimpse of what to expect when Rangers put together a fantastic passing move that should have led to the opener.

Dado Prso linked brilliantly with Jeremy Clement to work the ball out to the left flank and Steven Smith whipped in a cross for Libor Sionko, but the debutant's header was well saved.

Two minutes later Clement was the provider again when he delivered a deep free kick to the back post, but Charlie Adam couldn't direct his effort on target, nodding over the bar.Although starting on the right of midfield, Sionko worked hard to support the strikers and with 10 minutes gone latched on to a loose ball on the edge of the area which fizzed just wide of Turnbull's post.

Boro almost sneaked ahead when James Morrison took advantage of a bad bounce over Smith's head to chip an effort goalbound, but thankfully for the young Scot it landed on the roof of Lionel Letizi's net.

The French stopper was in the thick of things again two minutes later when Fabio Rochemback curled a delightful free-kick over the wall, although Letizi showed great agility to tip the shot over the bar.

Just before the half hour mark, Sionko had the fans on their feet when he showed great skill to skip past three Boro players and get a shot in on goal, although his effort fizzed just wide.he goal finally came, however, in the dying minutes of the first half when Prso dinked a cross into the centre of the area and Buffel escaped his marker to fire high into the net.

Five minutes after the restart the former Feyenoord star almost grabbed his second when he turned his marker inside the box but the shot was easily saved.

At the other end, Rodriguez nearly put the ball into his own net on 53 minutes, when his outstretched leg deflected Adam Johnson's cross inches past the post.Although this was Boro's first pre-season match, they competed well against a sharp Rangers side.

Nacho Novo registered his first shot on goal after 73 minutes when he unleashed a fizzing drive and although Turnbull spilled the Spaniard's effort, no one followed up and the danger was cleared.

Overall it was a good work out for the Light Blues and you can get the manager's reaction right here on rangers.co.uk shortly.

I was at the game. Wasn't entertaining match or anything but you shouldn't expect much from a pre-season friendly. Besides, it was a good day to go and watch the Rangers, absolutely boiling! My thoughts

Lionel Letizi - Didn't have much to do but did save a free-kick. Couldn't tell by my view but looked as if it was heading for the top corner.

Alan Hutton - Out of position alot of the time, sometimes when he recieves the ball, he's not quite sure what to do with it.

Karl Svensson - Didn't look to troubled. Although didn't look too confortable holding the ball in defense, and was quick to play the ball.

Libor Sionko - Probably was the most impressive out of the new guys. Some great touches, skills and forward runs. Looking forward to seeing him more. My man of the match (Offically Buffel, probably due to him being the scorer).

Steven Smith - Was also impressed with him, although he did make one mistake with a cross to the far end of the box, he didn't commit himself to the win it and could have gave a goal scoring oppurtunity. He was good going forward and putting in some decent crosses.

Thomas Buffel - Was great on the counter attack. Very fast to chase/close down opponent when the ball was kicked up the field. Still needs to know when to pass. He had 2 defenders on him on the left side with Sionko countering with miles of spaces. Buffel chose to wait and then cross it to Sionko rather than play it along the ground.

Nacho Novo - First touch! Almost got a goal but his first touch is frustraiting.

Jeremy Clement - Not outstanding but was good with the ball, holding it up and looking for the right man.

Makhtar N'Diaye - He does look like he can produce it, but it times it seems as if he's trying too hard to impress. When he loses the ball, he desperately tries to win it back. Seems that he can deliver a good ball (Only took one set-piece though.)

Julien Rodriguez - Hit a not bad volley when left unmarked at the far end from a free-kick. Right now I prefer the Svensson-Rodriguez back rather than Pierre-Fanfan.

Brahim Hemdani - Was okay, never stood out.

rangers website-PAUL LE GUEN has told Marvin Andrews that he is free to leave Rangers.

The giant defender, who was part of Trinidad & Tobago's World Cup squad this summer, was not involved in Rangers' 1-0 victory over Middlesbrough on Saturday and can now start looking for another club.

The signing of Karl Svensson plus the return of Jose Pierre-Fanfan to the squad seem to mean Andrews is now surplus to requirements.

The giant defender first came to prominence in this country when he signed for Raith Rovers before moving on to Livingston with whom he won the CIS Cup.

He moved to Rangers in 2004 and became a cult hero with the supporters, his favourite phrase "Keep Believing" becoming the unofficial team motto as the Light Blues clinched the title on the final game of the season.

what does everyone think, is anyone 'thanking god?'

Anyone watch the game? If you compare todays game with a game in the Eck era, you could see a massive improvement. Much more attacking, 1-touch passing, skills and counter attacking at any given oppurtunity. Despite the scoring should have been more than 2-1. I was impressed with the team overall.

I was listening to it and it sounded like we were playing great football. I'd like to see those chances Buffel missed though, about 3 times he was one-on-one with the keeper i think. I heard Sionko was pretty impressive, how were the new boys Daz?

Aye, Buffel got through 1-on-1 a couple of times. But the one that stood out is when he picked the ball up in our own half. Skinned 1 or 2 players and ended up with 5/6 players chasing him and tried to finish it off in style by chipping the keeper into the top corner but went over the bar.

Sionko looks like a very skillful player was very impressed today and seen improvement in Clement from the Middlesbrough aswell. Stevie Smith was linking well with Adam, Buffel and Burke. Hutton was much improved, which I was glad to see. Letizi looked comfortable at crosses and so far he seems like he is comfortable with the ball at his feet. He was quick to pull of a reaction save against O'Donnell, but the ball bounced back to O'Donnell to place it. Adam looks good at crosses, leading to Prso's goal from the corner. He also put a good ball over the head for Sionko to score which Sionko did well to stay onside from. Hemdani was also an improvement from under Eck.

The attacking football was just a joy to watch and really, I know under Eck it was bad, but today puts his team to shame. Here was the line-up.

--------------------Letizi----------------------
----Hutton--Svensson---Rodriguez-----Smith---
-------------Hemdani----Clement--------------
---Sionko-----------Buffel------------Adam----
-------------------Prso(C)---------------------

Apparently, this is the formation Le Guen used at Lyon, and was impressed by what I seen with it. Sionko and Adam often switching positions aswell as Hutton and Smith driving forward.

Aye, i'm really fond of that formation so i hope it works well. Though we'll have to wait and see what kind of formation he'll use when Boydy gets back, surely he will go with him and Prso upfront.

Well atleast we won't be moaning about left sided midfielders, as Adam and Sionko can play there as we saw/heard today, good times ahead hopefully.

I will be honest, I have my doubts about Filip Sebo since his scoring record at Austria Vienna was less than impressive. Although I heard he had a good scoring record with Artmedia, hopefully he will score with Rangers.

I was at the game yesterday and yes I was disappionted. Couldn't believe all the chances we had and the 2 cleared headers off the line.

Sebo didn't have the best but you can't judge a player coming on when we are 2-1 down.

We really should have won by atleast two clear goals yesterday. Credit to the keeper though, he pulled off some terrific saves, Sionko's.:( Buffel really needs to find his shooting boots, he's playing superbly, beating his man, but right now he shoots like a defender.

Anyone else loving Sionko? He's running riot down the wings and becoming a fans favourite already, i may get his name and number on my top.

Good ol' Hearts eh, i'm delighted they won today, i dont care who beats Celtic aslong as they get the job done. Hopefully we can start scoring the goals in a fortnight's time for the game at Ibrox.

I like Sionko, but I thought Sionko was good in the first half but crap in the second. Jeremy Clement was the only one that I thought played well for 90 minutes. Stevie Smith had a good game but he tried the long ball too much sometimes. It's great when he gets right up the flank and provides support.

Aye, Sionko sorta dissapeared in the second half last week aswell. Clement did look good yesterday, a few good tackles and passes.

I really hope PLG tells the squad to quit with all the long balls, i just dont find them as effective as passing it on the deck and finising an opening, it becomes to obvious.

Hearts were excellent yesterday and the linesman robbed Bednar a good hat-trick, but after our excellent goal, when Lennon came on I knew that we would ether draw or get beat... I still dont know what Lennons was doing and why is Telfer still there.

Good news for you's really bad news for us, but thats football and it should set up a great season...

Absolutely shite. Once again it's chance after chance and finally we score (Buffel of all people :shocking:) then we just throw the game away. Letizi looked shell shocked in the second half. Lee Martin done well for the time he was on for but we have to play alot better. That's the 3rd week in a row we have played with the same team and in all of those games we were unconvincing. Surely it's time for Kris Boyd and Chris Burke to start?

I will be honest that I'm quite nervous about next week. We need to step it up if we are going to beat Hearts.

le guen needs to get out of this mindset that you can use a 4-2-3-1 formation against your opponents who have 10 men behind the ball. It hasn't worked in all 3 games in my opinion.

yes we played some good football but good football doesn't score you goals and good football doesn't win you matches. I'd rather play absolutely crap and create a couple of chances and score them to win the game.

he also needs to bring in a couple of defenders.

You've done well to secure the services of Lee Martin and more recently Phil Bardsley on loan. Two of our more promising young players. Last season Bardsley showed a lot of promise, and looked assured, hinting that he may one day be able to take over from Gary Neville.

Aye. I've only seen some of Bardsley. The first time I seen him was in the Champions League against Benfica (I think?) and thought he did quite good. Lee Martins is promising too.

His performances were one of the reasons why the reserve team were able to win the quadruple the two seasons ago. He went on loan to Royal Antwerp last season, and although I only saw a couple of games, he performed well enough to win their fans player of the year award.

We absolutely ripped them to shreds, once again a few chances not taken but atleast we were solid at the back. I was quite impressed with Martin, the fact that he doesn't want to stay here is quite upsetting as he looks a very good prospect, though he's out to prove something, and is doing it very well so far. Could well keep out Adam, which i kinda hope doesn't happen as Charlie has a good future too.

Lee Martin was outstanding! Phil Bardsley did great too but Martin stood out. He was my MoTM. Couldn't believe right before halftime when Boyd missed that open goal. just had to pick his spot - except down the middle which was easily cleared off the line. Credit to Boyd because he looked a threat when he got behind the defense and had a great attempt with an overhead kick. I felt that Karl Svensson was unsure with the heading. Not sure who to pass it to and just head it out of play when there was no need, no complaints though. Better save than sorry. One major improvement was cross balls and set pieces. Our corners and free-kicks where of great threat to Hearts. I don't know how many headers we won in the air but a goal from a cross was going to come. No other than Kris. Hearts really struggled today. First half we where all over them, and soon as we got that 2nd goal, we looked comfortable in possession which I thought was a great oppurtunity to bring on Alan Hutton to help him restore some confidence, and played fairly well. Good game, well deserved win and could have possibly been more.

Also, did anyone see McLeish? Walking round the main door to my stand and saw Alex McLeish being crowded for autographs. I couldn't really be bothered to go over and get his autograph since of the disappointments of las season.

A good performance today but I dread to think what would have happened if we hadn't have got the penalty. It was chance after chance as usual in the first half, Boyd's overhead kick, Prso missed a one on one and Rodriguez had a few headers not to mention the easy Boyd chance. The referee was appaling today he let Hearts get away with some shocking tackles and some disgraceful diving. You also see how bad the linesman is when you sit in the Govan stand.

I just hope now that Boyd is off the mark, he will start hammering them in like he did last season because we have the ability to finish off teams 4-0 or 5-0 with the amount of chances we are making, we just need to start taking them and I think after today we can get the ball rolling.

EDIT: Also must add, I think Hemdani was class today. Made the right passes, kept possession and even managed to run forward. I hope he continues playing the rest of the season like that

Clyde boss Graham Robers hit the self-destruct button on a shocking pre-season tour of Canada, club insiders claimed last night.

The Bully Wee gaffer was this week dismissed from Broadwood for gross misconduct.

And Clyde insiders claim he was axed over THREE vile incidents during friendly games with lowly Canadian sides - with a highly-placed club source insisting his behaviour was "way over the top".

The ex-Rangers and Spurs player allegedly spent the first game - a 1-0 win over Windsor Border Stars - screaming at players and the referee.

But it was a disabled Windsor supporter sitting near the Clyde dugout who allegedly attracted the most venom.

Firebrand Roberts, 47, is reported to have turned to the invalid, telling him: "If you don't shut up, I'm going to let the air out of your tyres".

He is also alleged to have called the ref a "Jewish b*****d".

The crass comments sparked fury among both Clyde and Windsor supporters.

One senior Bully Wee source said "Team-mates sitting in the dug out heard the remark to the wheelchair-bound fan"

"Everybody was extremely embarrassed - there were red faces all round. It's not the sort of thing you expect to hear from the boss of a football club".

Later - in the dugout - Roberts allegedly aimed anti-Semitic filth at the whistler. Our club insider added: "We don't even know if the guy was Jewish. But Roberts called the guy a 'Jewish b*****d'".

"I think Graham took a look at the guy, decided he was Jewish and based the abuse on that".

The club source added: "It was unbelievable. It was at this point that we decided his jacket was on a VERY shaky nail."

Speaking from Canada, Windsor's general manager Jeff Hodgson added: "Roberts was very hostile throughout because his guys were playing so bad.

"Some guy was wheeling back and forth behind Graham and shouting things at the players and perhaps being a little obnoxious.

"They had words. There's no doubt Roberts was agitated because the game was very close and they were supposed to win easily.

"If that's the way he acts when there's nothing at stake, then goodness knows what he is like when it is an important game".

However, insiders claim worse was to come in the next friendly...

During a 2-1 win over a Canadian Professional Soccer League select in Toronto on May 7, Roberts is said to have racially abused a black opponent by calling him "pineapple head" and repeatedly makimg monkey noises.

Our highly-placed Clyde source claimed: "Roberts was sitting in the dugout making monkey noises under his breath.

"He was then looking round at people and smiling at them as if to say, 'Look how clever I am'.

"That was the level he was stooping to.

"The guy had a dreadlock hairstyle - that's why he was getting called pineapple head.

"But it was only because the guy was quite handy and causing his team a lot of problems."

The senior Clyde source went on: "We couldn't tolerate such behaviour. It was absolutely appalling and utterly unacceptable. We decided he had to go. We had to wait until the summer holidays were over and when the board was back together. He didn't take the news kindly."

A Clyde spokesman said last night: "Following a full and comprehensive investigation of allegations made against the team manager, Graham Roberts, the board have upheld the decision to terminate his contract as team manager for gross misconduct."

Dad-of-four Roberts - who took over as Clyde manager in 2005 - has now been replaced by former assistant Joe Miller.

It is not the first time that Roberts has attracted controversy.

In October 1987 he was arrested while playing for Rangers.

He was detained after he was seen conducting Gers fans in sectarian anthem The Sash. Roberts later appeared in Glasgow Sheriff Court in a breach of the peace charge, but he was acquitted after the case against him was found not proven.

Last night the axed gaffer, who lives in a £200,000 flat in Glasgow's exclusive harbour development, claimed: "My lawyers are dealing with this.

"I'm the victim of the biggest stitch-up and victim of a massive conspiracy.

"These people have made up all these things about me in order to get me out of the place. I am not a racist and never have been.

"I'm going to take Clyde to an industrial tribunal - the truth will come out at that"

Roberts - who led the club to a famous Scottish Cup win over Celtic last season - added: "All the people who are running about saying these things about me are Celtic fans who are annoyed at how I managed to beat their team last January.

"They're not happy about that and they're taking it out on me".

But last night leading human rights lawyer and anti-racism campaigner Aamer Anwar welcomed the club's decision to sack Roberts.

He said: "There is no place in football for racism."

Good to see him get a half. Great performance. I never knew that Bardsley could take a freekick and was baffled when he stepped up to take it. Nevermind, great goal from Bardsley. Thomas Buffel also scored a cracker. You have to feel sorry for Filip Sebo, he was handed the ball on a plate when we where 4-0 up and still couldn't finish. You will all say I know nothing but sorry that Rodriguez is not a footballer. He is possibly the worst central defender I have ever seen and remember I support Birmingham City so have seen a few dodgy ones. Also Bardsle's sending off was stupid - on his part not the refs. How many times did the ref warn him to move back ? Plus the tackles/fouls he comitted when he was already on a yellow were ridiculous, he was just asking to be sent off. And how Rodriguez lasted the full 90 is a complete mystery to me.

Other point - is Easter Road the worst stadium in Britain ?

Wouldn't really disagree with what you said. It was an absolute disgrace from Rangers and Hibs were truely the better team. Rodriguez was shite but he is usually better. After about 5-10 minutes, you could tell someone would be sent off with the way the game was going. Also, as much as I think Bardsley could have been sent off earlier, I think his second yellow was a bit harsh as when the referee goes to book him for not moving back, he is actually further back than Clement - who was next to the referee. But all that will be down to frustration. Same happened when we lost 2-1 at Easter Road last year and Ferguson kicked out at Thomson. I think leaving Boyd on the bench though was a mistake as he is never the same player when he starts a match.

Also, it doesn't take a rocket science to know but I heard that our club doctor Ian McGuiness blabbed about our fatigue was low to which Hibs where told to go all out from the start.

yeah id have papac for smith and have sebo up beside boyd

I would have Papac in for Svensson rather than Smith. Svensson is a real liability.

The worrying thing for Rangers fans though is that I couldnt see any thing to provide hope from that game. I went to Murrayfield last week so missed the European game but apparently Rangers were as bad in that game, whereas Celtic looked pretty good against Man Utd in my opinion and in their highlights from their win on Saturday. So the Old Firm game does look a bit daunting at the moment.

I actually thought Svensson did ok on Sunday when he made his mind up to do something. What I mean is he spent most of the time ball watching and not marking anyone, yet on the few times he was positive he actually looked like a footballer.

Barry Ferguson really disappointed me as Ive always rated him highly

Other point - is Easter Road the worst stadium in Britain ?

Try Scottish lower leagues and you'll get a lot worse but I do admit the leg room in particular at Easter Road is a shambles especially if you're over 6 foot.

I think that Boyd hasn't looked very sharp recently but we still need him because he is the only one that has proved himself to be a goalscorer. I also think that we should have three in central midfield against Celtic as this 4-2-3-1 formation seems a lot like the terrible 4-2-4 of last year. I'd put Adam or Rae in central midfield because Hibs 3 on Sunday destroyed our 2.

Also interesting fact, the loss at Easter Road was our first loss in 21 games but it was also the first time in 21 games we didn't start Hemdani. He has impressed me greatly this season and he was immense yesterday even in defence and it seems like he is working very well with Le Guen.

I'm beginning to like Hemdani now. He can just play the game casual. Even at in defense he was casual to hold the ball, take his time and then clear it. Much better under Le Guen. He must start ahead of Ferguson. Although he is our captain, he is definitely not ready for this match.

Ah well, today's performance really was pathetic. No-one really looked 'up for it' from the start. I was actually about 60% sure we would lose this, we just don't look comfortable enough, hell the players dont get a chance to settle with all the rotation that's been happening.

Barry Ferguson, utter shite today, i would have started Buffel ahead of him, he didn't look fit enough. Papac looks to be quite the defender, one of our better players today, should keep Svensson out of the domestic games. McGregor was good today, just unfortunate for those 2 goals.

At the start of the season i thought we could do pretty well, but looking at the team now, no-one actually stands out as being great. We signed mediocre players, best of which probably being Clement. I square some of the blame towards David Murray, for giving PLG a lack of transfer funds. Even Celtic are spending big, and look how it's turned out so far. About £5m for vGoH, he hasn't failed to deliver. I'm embaressed in all honesty.

I thought that today, at 1-0, Rangers would have pulled one back. With Prso causing some troubles (dived too) I thought that the game wouldve been quite firey, but all and all despite the result, which see's me happy, the game was overall boring, which is why I had Sky Sports on the other TV for the Liverpool match.

I thought Boyd should have scored at least maybe two, but when you dont have the luck, you can see what happens, especially that one that rattled the bar... I thought it was for in the back of the net, It made me choke when I seen he had a little room.

Anyway, hope Burkes alright (I still dont know what happened to him) and I hope to see him well shortly for you again. Good player.

Ill finish by saying that the seasons far, far, far from over and I know both you and me have heard it a few times today, but you won the first OF last season and look what happened, who is to say it wont happen the other way round this year?. Personally Im sick of hearing it, but the point is that we both have a long way to go and we havent really hit a bad spell just yet either. Best of luck for the rest of the season, lads.

Read it on Skysports.com that he has promised to come back to Rangers. He wants to come sooner than when he is like 35 as he wants to offer us something. I would accept him with open arms.

Anyway, I have found it hard to talk about Rangers. That's probably why this thread has been deserted for a few weeks. Where do I begin? The McGregor controversy. We are probably on the brink of losing a 25-year-old class goalkeeper who has waited awhile to get his chance at Rangers. He proved himself in the time being yet it wasn't good enough. Now it looks like we are stuck with a 33-year-old who I have been told did make quite a few blunders during his time at PSG and has already made 2 costly blunders at Rangers (Well, possibly 2. I will need to view the goal again on TV to see if Letizi could have prevented the goal or not but from my position, it looked a weak shot and couldn't even put it round the post) and this is his first game back. You wonder what is the real reason Letizi was picked. Was it because he's French? Or he somehow truely believes Letizi is better than McGregor?

You do wonder what is going on behind the scenes at Rangers and I must say, I am pretty worried once again about this season. Paul Le Guen so far hasn't lived up to what we hoped and I know we are only 10 games into the season, but he have some serious issues. Breaking down teams and overcoming a result. It seems that Celtic can overcome a result if they go a goal down, but with Rangers you begin to worry if you will even snatch a draw. The "team needs to gel" excuse can't last forever. We are in October and should have got to know each other. And the fact that it seems that so many players have an off day on the same day.

Kris Boyd is starting on the bench and we know how useless he is coming off the bench. Thomas Buffel is inconsistent. Barry Ferguson is still not the same but I won't jump on his back just yet since he was out for awhile. It also seems that whenever we are gifted an oppurtunity to atleast hit the target (although it should be a chance that we take,) we somehow miss. Like Charlie Adam yesterday when the ball fell nicely to him in the box and he could barely kick the ball. We are just too frustraiting to watch right now and unless they're vast improvements, I probably won't be expecting much in the league.

I'm not going to go on and say shit like "Le Guen out" which no doubt some people probably are, but he has one hell of a task to do now.

Really dissapointing season. I think hemdani has been a top player this season and I was treated to two great games one agaisnt hearts and one against aberdeen. Aberdeen was one of the besy my whole section went absoloute mental it was the "hug a random stranger" sort of thing. comin down the glass stars at the club deck singing derrys walls was amazing and singing "hes blye hes white hes fucking dynamite ian durrant" while the scumbags of sheepland were singing songs bout the tackle that ruined the best midfielder in britian at that time's career. However it is not over there will be no surrender WE ARE THE POEPLE.

Aye, read about Gattuso changing his mind just days after promising to return. Very confused.

Yesterday was a very satisfying performance. First time a Scottish team has won on Italian soil. Good to see Nacho Novo get among the goals aswell as capping off a great performance, that might be enough to give him that boost he needed. It would be great for him to find his form again as his pace can be deadly. Still a chance for Novo to prove he can still do it. Good start to our UEFA cup campaign, now we have a hard game against Maccabi Haifa. They seem quite a decent side, giving Liverpool a run for their money and beating Auxerre comfortably. Glad it's at home though, aswell as Partizan.

I think the whole Gattuso thing wasn't real. It seems we have aquired a PR department of sorts and their aim after a bad result (i.e Saturdays result) would be to inject hope back into the support. Now what better way of doing this than by making up some story about Gattuso coming back to Rangers which would obviously make the whole support very excited. Now even if Gattuso does or does not want to stay in Italy, he is contracted to Milan and it would be wrong of him to say that he is going to piss off so him denying the claims is just him trying to cover his own arse. When I saw the story on Sunday, I could easily see that they were trying to make a positive spin on a terrible result.

Anyway, back to todays game. Delighted with the result because I would have been more than happy with a draw before the game, we just need to start producing performances like that domestically. Also, Lucarellis penalty was a disgrace to football and I think people should be suspended for shit like that after the match but anyway we were worthy of the win and with two home games still to go, it looks like we should be optimistic about qualifying

The whole Gattuso thing was set up so people would forget the bad result. although in the past Gattuso has said he wants to come back I think the reality is it will never happen. He is contracted until 2011 and it would cost too much to bring him to Ibrox.

Last night was one of the best performances I hav seen for Rangers in a long time. Hemdani in my opinion was the best player on the park. I think Barry has showed us he really deserves to be the Rangers captain.
