I have played both games previously and I can confirm that both games were the same. It is like PES vs WE. Maybe they have renamed TIF to World Tour Soccer for the US Market.

If past experence is anything to go by, TIF/World Tour Soccer cannot even compared to Fifa. The animation was extremely stiff and the action was not fluid at all. I don't kind of understand why the developers then were in a hurry to start the game once the ball goes out of play. The fast forward action really made the players move like Charlie Chaplin. If you have played WE/PES you will not enjoy this game. ONe thing you will not feel relaxed.

I believe that both TIF/World Tour Soccer will be released soon. The advertisement is really impressive but I would advise anyone to check out the game first. I am really tired of all this "Word speaks louder than action" thing. Fifa is a classic case. Don't waste precious dollar until you have thorougly tested the game. That is what I am gonna to do. ISS4 would be a much better choice if indeed there is such a release.

I played TIF 2004 today, it's no-where near PES3, but plays a decent game of footy. There are loads of nice graphics/presentation touches though, some of which I'll list down here; Are you reading Konami?

Editing - all options from TIF2003 PLUS
Create a Manager (shown during game as well - looks cool)
Choose whether player tucks his shirt in or not.
Custom teams available (to create new teams from scratch)

Better cut scenes (cinematic sequences)
Manager's reactions - to goals, misses etc.

All in all, some neat touches in this edition.

Mike,
Just a couple of questions:-
1. Will it be possible for us to map the controller
2. How the gameplay, fluid? When the ball goes out of play, are we seeing the same fast forward action.

I don't know if you can map the controller - I assume so, given the in depth options avalable.
The animation is more fluid, and realistic - players turn much better, and the dive is brilliant! :R2: Once the ball goes out of play, you either go to the resulting set play, or see a cut scene - like a near miss for example these tend to show both the player and the manager's reactions (I hit the bar with van Nistelrooy, and he put his head in his hands - so did Fergie!) I didn't see any (fast forward) type animation. Oh and the goal replays are well done too.

I'm strongly considering getting TIF2004 as a "second" football game.

Mike.
