With the imminent release of PES3 it is time to find out “Who’s the Daddy” therefore I am thinking about setting up a little tournament for all the PES2 nuts and would be contenders out there. Unfortunately for most of you I live in Doncaster (South Yorks) so its probable it will be difficult for you to attend, however for those of you that live in close proximity, here is a chance for you to back up all your, so far, unfounded claims!!!

I am not sure on the format yet as it depends on numbers, if there is no real interest and numbers are say less than 10, it will be based on a league with the top 4 teams going in to a knock out. If the response is good then it will be based on the world cup with groups etc.

There would be an entry fee of around £10, with a cash prize for the following:-

Winner
Runner up
Best Goal
Best Player / Most entertaining (for those Kevin Kegan types)

Refreshments provided

What do you all think???

Hitman have you got any experience of this type of thing?
I'm sorry, did I break your concentration!?!

How far is that from London?
Any idea on the travelling costs involved?

Probably cost you around £25 quid for an apex train ticket (1hr 45mins Kings x to Doncaster)

Doncaster is about 170 miles from London and 20 miles from Sheffield, probably only worth it if you are a very good player cause then ya might just recoup you expenses

Thanks for the info.
Good detail there.

It is a little far.
Worth thinking about for the future (for me).

Good luck with it.
I expect you will get a few responses here and any other forums you may go for.

I have just moved back to Doncaster from London hence the detail.

I have got about eight people so far, so I already have the bases for a good competition.

I will have to post the results so the winner can bask in their much deserved glory.

Cheers anyway

I live in London, but I might be interested. It all depends on my finances at the time, really.

My e-mail is in my sig, so keep me posted if you could. ;)

Nice one!

And Zyg, I take it you won't be joining us?

It's damn far for me mate!
I'd like very much to go.
Came back from one in Chessington yesterday and made it home at 12:30am.
And up at 6am in the morning.

If it's well organised and finishes relatively early, I'd be willing to come along to try.
Finances are a factor for me too.

Won't be good to travel all that way alone!

A Pro Evo tourny in Chessington? What will they think of next...

Travelling alone isn't the problem. You can get a couple of beers in and whatever. Not me though, I probably wouldn't get served. :o

If it's convenient for me to travel, I'll be going, but as I've said, money's always a problem, as is (which I didn't think about) time of return. My mum probably wouldn't let me go.

Don't worry, I'll sign a guardian consent form to be repsonsible for you.
BTW, how old are you?

This can easily go the wrong way so no-one be cheeky here!

I was going to ask you how old you were, but thought it'd sound dodgy. :D

I'm 16, turning 17 in a month - just finished my AS's.
