In a swoop worth just £5m, the seasoned veteran and most decorated player in Premier League history joins Team Rocket to blast off at the speed of light.

Despite Ryan's grand age of 37, he has continued to not only impress, but to dazzle like never before and prove his value time and time again. His experience, ability and wisdom will certainly help pull Team Rocket together and make the team a force to be reckoned with.

After countless days attempting to sway the sale of Nani, Team Rocket and Iron City United have come to an agreement...however this particular agreement is in relation to the winger Maxi Rodriguez. While not initially on Team Rocket's radar, it is certain Maxi has been impressing over recent years with performances, while seemingly finding his feet in the Premier League last season with 10 goals to his name. The fee being reported for this transfer is in the region of £3m.

Maxi is set to begin training with the team at Kanto bright and early tomorrow morning having passed his medical at the club's Health Centre earlier tonight.

...further developments regarding Team Rocket and their player hunting process have just come in...

http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/2699/gyanjoinsrocket.png (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/3/gyanjoinsrocket.png/)

After initial uncertainty over Asamoah Gyan's future, Team Rocket can finally, and officially announce the signing of the 25 year old Ghanian striker. The deal which sees Gyan sign on the dotted line is reported to be worth £8.1m, and is set to see him play alongside the club's highest priced signing in that of Luis Suarez.

Gyan is to undergo a medical tomorrow morning at the Kanto Health Centre and will commence training with Rocket teammates the following day.

Team Rocket TV (sponsored by Samsung) will be exclusively interviewing the latest Team Rocket signings tomorrow, so stay tuned for more interesting news!

Yes. A triple swoop. 3 signings within 24 hours. Team Rocket and manager Jesse James Hunter incredibly hard at work again in order to bolster the team's squad before the season starts. Mikel Arteta's experience is expected to bring a calmness and more level headed approach to the dressing room in a team flooded with young talented players, and Ryan Giggs.

Team Rocket TV (sponsored by Samsung) can exclusively reveal that the deal has just been struck within the last hour or so, and the fee is exactly £6.1m. Arteta is said to be delighted with the move and cannot wait to jump in with both feet (not literally) and earn his spot in the starting 11.

More thoughts from Arteta will follow tomorrow, only on Team Rocket TV.

I don't get this game today but I checked gamecast and all I see is yellow and red for liverpool and I don't mean their uniforms. See Danglish, you should have started Kuyt.

I thought about bidding for Coates with Johnson out for a while. Now wish I because Agger out with injury.

came back to gamecast before full time only to see more red. You will be happy to know that Team Rockets biggest rival, FC Planet Express did not start Abedayor

I'm just that confident! Thanks DF brother. Here's a little Team Rocket team squad update:

Every week without fail, I seem to screw up my team line-up in some way! The funny thing is though, I've really put a great deal of thought into it, and checked out various match previews, and weighed up what options I have left. My defence is plagued with injury (Senderos, Rafael and Wilson all out), so I'm choosing from slim pickings there.

David Luiz is apparently likely to be rested following 2 international matches in the last week. Yet Sylvain Distin is my only alternative... and he's facing Chelsea, so while he'll receive 2 points for starting, how much of those 2 points he'll keep is up for debate. Conceding 1 goal is fine, but for each additional goal he'll lose 1 point which will do some damage. Whereas "if" David Luiz comes off the bench, that's 1 point for him, followed by 2 extra points if he's able to keep a clean sheet for the time he's on the pitch. So while Luiz has more point earning potential I think, there's a massive "if" over whether he'll even play which is killing me. It's not like I can hold off until 30 minutes before kick off either since the United vs. Liverpool match is the early KO to get things underway this game weekend. Quite a dilemma in defence really, but I've went with the safety choice of Distin since he's guaranteed to play, it's just a matter of how well he will now.

Now there is Pederson in midfield who has been doing fairly okay this season, however upon returning from international duty, he's apparently been complaining of a tweaked hamstring from what medics are saying. Whether this is true or not is another matter, as we all know how staff like to play mind games leading into fixtures now. Then there's Giggs who frequently comes off the bench, and often against big teams due to his experience in the closing stages. He could again do so against Liverpool, but again, it's a "possibility", and therefore a risk.

The strikeforce is one I have confidence in, with Suarez and Di Santo both performing well so far this season. However Danny Graham had a great gameweek last fixture, and he's likely to start against Norwich away today, which leaves me wondering whether to include him.

As manager, I need to ultimately decide whether to include the risk of David Luiz in defence, who if plays, is likely to bring in a couple of points. Opt in for Pederson in midfield in the hope that his minor niggle after international duty is a bluff and won't affect his position in the team this weekend, or instead choose the striker Danny Graham who's almost certain to start, yet has been lacklustre all season except his improvement last week.

Winner: Danny Graham.

So to confirm this week's line-up:

I've taken one or two risks this week. I can't see Pepe Reina and Martin Skrtel keeping a clean sheet against Manchester City, and so have decided to replace them with Sorensen and Wilson, who face Blackburn at home. It's likely that they'll both play it seems, so fingers crossed they can keep it tight. I wouldn't be surprised if Liverpool concede 2 or 3 to be honest against City, so it's a bit of dilemma really. I have decided to play Maxi Rodriguez though after having not played him nearly all season. He played for Liverpool for the first time in the league in a long time, and scored, so with Dalgliesh apparently wanting to maintain stability by making minimal changes (and with Gerrard still injured), he'd be mental to drop Maxi.

IronCity
26-11-2011, 04:09
Maxi Rodriquez will be your tail in terms of a cat chasing it's tail. That's the term I think of when we start to put in players a week after they have the good week, then they dissapear. I can smell an award winding up. I did find one article that said Stoke manager sticking with Begovic, but many more saying Sorenson is the man.

Begovic started so well but has been falling apart.

Hunter
26-11-2011, 10:38
Yeah, it's more so a hope than anything. I contemplated switching Maxi for a defender in the starting line up, but my only remaining fit defenders are Senderos and Riise - both of whom are set to start for Fulham it seems, they are however facing Arsenal away. I really can't see them keeping a clean sheet, and I wouldn't be surprised if Arsenal scored more than 2 or 3 goals... which sort of negates the point of playing either Senderos or Riise.

Tough times right now, but that's the beauty of the PESGaming FL. :)

Fixed. Not sure where my numbers have muddled up along the way, but no worries!

I've had a bit of a hiccup tonight - thanks to Agger putting it into his own net, ultimately damaging the clean sheets that Reina and Skrtel may have kept. If I could have achieved two clean sheets right off the bat for this gameweek, it would have been a tremendous start.

As it turns out, I made the best of a bad week it seems - defensively.

I opted to drop both Pepe Reina and Martin Skrtel this gameweek, of which has only happened on one or two occasions all season. Instead, I fielded Sorensen in goal, and Sylvain Distin outfield. A shrewd decision, and one I'm a little pleased with, given that Liverpool conceded 3 goals tonight, whilst Stoke (Sorensen) only let 1 goal slip past. Skrtel's replacement in Distin will hopefully get first team action tomorrow, and if he does, I can see a positive outcome with his opposition being Bolton with all due respect.

Team Rocket may not really have earned many points for these alternative defensive decisions, but they've effectively 'saved' me points. Overall, despite looking poor on the surface this week, I'm somewhat happy with my judgement, and I feel I'm learning more about my squad as the season progresses.

To confirm (for timeline sake), I've replaced Heidar Helguson, with Rafael da Silva. Switching from a 4-3-3, to a 5-3-2 formation.

Yeah, that'd be quite interesting - and a potential kick in the crotch too.

Two of my forwards are now Norwich strikers. If they both happen to start tomorrow, I may be in for a real treat!

Patrice Evra is left out of the starting 11 for the first time since his acquisition. Luis Suarez returns from his 8-match suspension to earn a starting place this week though, so it looks as though Team Rocket are gunning for goals.

I have no need to blame it on anything, they already know what I'm about.

Team Rocket going with the club's traditional strike partnership of Grant Holt and Danny Graham, while Pilkington makes his way back into the fold following an impressive gameweek several days ago. It is a very packed midfield, but with what appears to be enough cover to hopefully aid Team Rocket to glory for this weekend.
