not really surprised at all.
Tut Tut
This is the first time that they've done this with gameplays at this time. Might be good marketing aswell. Anyway, the AI seems much better than in 11 and the transitions and flo between animations is finally sorted after the disasters that occured in the other pes' games on ps3.
1 negative is perhaps the lack of pressure, but this may be due to the fact that these are just to show off the new stuff, so we'll have to wait and see.
So far, I like what I am seeing, but I want to see more, as these were just moments not full gameplays.
But so far, I like it.

I also like the new improvements.
We know these are basic things, but the game gets better with this.

The "Off the ball control" vid certainly was interesting.

Interesting videos, the off the ball movement and AI needed improved so much in PES 2011. I just hope the players don't turn like double decker buses in 2012!

This looks good, I particularly like the new off the ball control system.
About time that was sorted.

Perhaps off the ball controlling will help us deal better with the telegraphing of long throw-ins that allows a defender to simply move into position for the easy steal. They should also fix the speed of the throw in.
Like the changes - one worry on overlapping runs is that you will rarely have a SB back for a safety valve pass when near the box because he will always have moved forward - but perhaps I I would rather him move forward.

ya, quick throw ins pls
Atlast i can bring my keeper forward anytime
It looks fantastic!
I do have concerns like others that the overlapping full backs will happen ALL the time so they will never be defensive but lets hope there will be strategies to fiddle around with in the formation screen to change the mentality of defenders when we need them to be more defensive (like at 1-0 up with 5 mins left).
^Yeah, and I do hope that this can be toned down when you want to play a defensive game. I think it can be toned down from the attack/defence level you choose in the formation.

Good point - I wish we could set up better posession formations when in the opponents half. I woud love to have two wings or midfielders move further to each side of the box when in posession but not so they have to be there all the time.

man.. I miss the assign arrows...
I used to have an on the fly tactic, would be the same formation but the fullbacks arrows pointing towards my own goal and goal line... they would never overlap... it was a thing of beauty to defend that 1-0 2 game aggregate with 5 minutes left... only time they ran up is if I passed using L1

the second I see one of those "player gets tripped up and sits there stunned" moments in any of these 2012 videos, the deal is off.
^^ Stubling animations have gone so if people ever fall, they get up straight away, even c. ronaldo and ashley young

Have you seen any of these so far in PES 12 gameplay videos?

I haven't seen any - I was just letting Konami know I am watching them. I like Abu97's encouragement two posts up.

Yes, I'm pretty sure Jon Murphy said that the stumbling animations had gone during that video blog he did!

Didn't know John Murphy is so proud to show us that he doesn't know a thing about football.
Take a look from 0:30.You'll never ever see a left defender going that way, letting the striker advance further. This is pure stupidity and it would never happen in real life.
Shooting just looks awful, too powerless and it floats too much so long shots are definitely gonna be a problem even with gerrard

Haven't given a shit about PES this year, but after watching those vids, i must say that the animations doesn't look that bad.
Shooting actually looks good now.

I noticed that, but as I said, we need to what for the demo or at least some more REAL gameplays, because these were to show off the AI. So they're like that. Show offs. Real gameplays with higher difficulties may differ.

I almost want to take his video words on them dropping stumbling and make a mash-up swede mason style
